- This car belongs to Wendel R. His dad bought this car new and he has just finished a 5 year restoration on it. Very very nice driver.. It is one of the finest 68 Dodge Charger R/T's around ! It will hit the top of the list at the cruize ins. We love it !! I would love to keep it ! How about you ?

My 68 Blue one with a black vinyl roof and stripes had Crager SS Mag wheels. I miss that car even more than before I watched this. It's a gorgeous car and a beautiful undercarriage.

car is fantastic. Very nice full on resto...definitely NOT for sale quality...not worth doing unless you have a close tie to it. Your old man being the original owner is sufficient for the 40-80K resto price tag
I love '68-'70 Chargers, but it seems like they are always Automatic, need a Pistol Grip in a car like this! ;)
Sorry for being 5 years late, but it is harder to find automatic RTs than Manuals right now for sale, even easier than finding a Pontiac GTO 1968 manual.

alconk that year they were vacuum from the factory ( but you might know that already, I don't know)but he could have changed it.
Vacuum " auto tragics they don't like big cams like bump sticks do" mine would blink at you unless you threw it in neutral and rev it up a lil" or get a vacuum booster

Car porn" always wanted to do mine in B5 blue, had White interior no vinyl top with the white strip combination, but was white interior white exterior with a red metallic pained stripe A/C car matching all power but rather had roll up windows brings back memories, can't touch em now way too much $$$ back in the day prices were insane too" only they were super low not super high when you can buy a Chevelle mustang Nova Camaro between 5 & 10 grand

Exactly?? No way. The 1968 Charger in the movie "Christine" was blue but it had a black vinyl top and a black interior. Also it did not have the R/T bumble bee stripes. To use the term exactly is false. Do your research dude.

Nicer car ..but good luck keeping that white top and interior clean unless you never use the car and keep it in a garage (Black) is a way better choice for that reason of "real use" an everyday car vs. a museum piece

Korie Creson The vents on the interior are factory. Looks like a 4 speed, to me. Needs wheel well trim. This is fine as long as they’re not trying to pass it as the real thing. I built one kinda similar to this, but I left the RT badges off and sold it that way. Would have made a great clone, though. It was a heater only car with no vinyl top. Since it didn’t come with air, all of the glass was clear without that greenish tint.
@@Cornmolio Missing the rear panel R/T badging as well. A set a Magnum 500s are sorely needed. It's an aftermarket compressor, and i'm fairly certain 4 speeds were not factory equipped with air con. And yes, wheel well trim noticeably missing as well.
aroenche Agree on the Magnum 500 wheels. Even steel wheels with hubcaps would be better.
Gorgeous car but the trunk and hood are noticeably out of alignment.
