If Trump were convicted and imprisoned, it wouldn't prevent him from being president: Professor
#Trump #Politics #indictment
It's boils my blood to think that a person can be elected President when millions of Americans have been denied jobs and fired from jobs due to a criminal record. 😫
😂😂😂
You have got to be kidding? Trump has a target on his back that’s obviously the case. However the democrats in the White House have now set a precedent. The FBI and DOJ have tried for 6 years. After a while you have to ask yourself how and why?
Or less. I got denied a job because I was self-employed for awhile and couldn’t provide conventional paperwork for their background check. I had multiple clients rather than one employer.
@@mistiecantey1 they told you that as an excuse. Usually self employed people know more about business and what it takes to make a business work.
It's that way for a president in case the opposing party sets a candidate up the ppl can still speak up and vote for who they want. Our forefathers understood that ppl in office may use their position to try and stop someone from being elected. They're doing the opposite. They're setting him up for the win even if convicted
Show me anywhere in history where a nation's leader, convicted of high treason, rules from a prison cell...it's preposterous.

Election / voting rights are split between "passive" and "active" rights.
Passive is the right to run for an office and being elected.
Active is the right to cast a vote in an election.
You see how that will easily become a tool for him to oust opponents when he’s elected right?
“You violated the you don’t like me act of 2024 and that’s a federal crime. Ergo you can’t vote for someone who’s not me.”
How disgraceful would it be to have a convict as our President.
It would be cool.
It would NEVER happen.
I'm voting for him either way. The swamp can't win.
Or a criminal like Biden.

All this could have been avoided if our department of justice would recognize high treason
Treason is constitutionally defined as waging war against the States.

Do you want a civil war?
or if the GOP in 2021 had convicted him of the insurrection and sentenced him to not being able to run for Public office

Exactly, let the American people vote Republicans completely out of power. By all means, let that loser run, put him and his party on the chopping block please!
Could it be argued that although current law does not disqualify Trump from running for President, there are other laws prohibiting candidates running for Congress if found guilty of federal crimes. Can parallels be made in a legal argument that would apply equally to Trump? The current interpretation that a person could serve as President from jail is patently absurd and needs to be rewritten and coded into law that clearly disqualifies anyone from running for President who is guilty of a federal or state crime.

Demented Joe Biden is getting impeached
We are in a Constitutional crisis and we should have seen this coming. For most of our existence as a nation there were legal boundaries and there were moral and ethical boundaries that, for the most part, pols from all parties agreed to follow even though it wasn't, strictly, a legal requirement. Our founding fathers could not imagine a party that has no shame, no moral or ethical boundaries, no problem shattering a long-standing self-prohibition to not do certain things. That they do all that and act with indignation when they 'suspect' the other side might be doing what they ARE doing.
Then there's not one ounce of dignity or respect offered to our system of justice. Should the case arise that he's able to win under those conditions, the tangled knot of government has become too curly, too dangerous and opaque.

I think Donald would drop out of the Presidential race if all the charges against him were dropped. Unfortunately for him, that's not an option because the Manhattan hush money case was always awaiting him even if he didn't try to overturn the 2020 Election results.
