    Love DIVO, along with SCHD they are my largest holdings. I’m retiring in one year and I like the lower volatility of DIVO, their stock selections, and monthly dividends.

    It is always good to have a financial plan. I work with a professional planner and fixed-income strategist in NY. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won't simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income.

      I've shuffled through a few experts in the past, but settled with LUCY ROSE CARTER. The strategy they use is recession-proof, more specifically profit-oriented , and most likely, you'd find her basic info on the net, she's a renowned advisor.

      Very true, people downplay planners role, until burnt by their mistakes. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license-fiduciary advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, I liquidated 200k of 325k from my 401k it has yield nearly 1M after subsequent investments so far.

      @@MartinD9999 within reason it does. Take MAIN for example, it seems to go from $41.xx/share to $38.xx fairly often. So I wouldn't recommend someone drop $20k into it when it's at $41 when more than likely in the near future it'll be $38/39. Now if you're just DCA'ing in, sure it probably doesn't matter much, but nothing wrong with buying on dips.

    DIVO looks to be trading basically sideways the last 2 years, and with only a sub 5% dividend. I'd prefer just getting a 1 year CD and get a guaranteed 5.75% with zero risk. If there is a significant market correction DIVO would definitely be a consideration

    • @tonycrabtree3416
      @tonycrabtree3416 Рік тому +9

      You are cherry picking a set of time data. 😂 the past three years stock price is up 20% and still paying the 12-14 cent monthly dividend. You weren’t getting 5.75% in 2019 on CDs.

    • @disco4535
      @disco4535 Рік тому

      @@tonycrabtree3416 The 2 most recent years (which is 30% of the entire lifespan of the stock) is far from "cherry picking". And Im looking at it from the angle of someone looking to get into it right now. Right now the stock has stalled and is at risk of doing worse. The dividend isnt enough to hedge that risk, so I would rather get guaranteed higher yield for a year and reassess after that year.

    • @disco4535
      @disco4535 Рік тому +1

      Using the anomaly of a pandemic crash and recovery to push this stock would be cherry picking.

    • @tonycrabtree3416
      @tonycrabtree3416 Рік тому +8

      @@disco4535 and yet, using the pandemic “recovery” stimulus that created the high inflation that forced the fed to raise interest rates creating 5.75% returns is in fact the ultimate cherry picking! What were CD rates from 2000 to 2022? Or 1990 to 2022? From 2016 to 2023? DIVO has increased 40% since inception in 2016 and paid dividends every month. You are losing this argument until data changes.

    • @disco4535
      @disco4535 Рік тому

      @@tonycrabtree3416 Yet you'd be better off (if you insist on inserting risk instead of CD's) putting that money into something like Cornerstone CEF's that DRIP at the NAV and sell/rebuy at their rights offering. 20% yield every year. DIVO doesn't have a high enough redeeming yield for such low price appreciation. If the price falls to $25? I would consider it. I'm up 34% this year, Divo is up 6% this year.

    The current market buzz certainly offers a fascinating viewpoint. It’s quite startling to witness such bold predictions about the future trajectory of certain cryptos and stocks. The fervor around AI and the robot-taxi concept appears to be inflated. Amidst this, it’s essential to keep one’s feet on the ground and not be swayed by these forward-looking statements. My strategy in the climate has been to trade judiciously, and secure profits, and I can’t praise Janet Santa Sherry enough for her stellar work in analyzing charts, trades, and techniques. Her expertise has been instrumental in expanding my portfolio to a whopping $247k in just few months. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to grow their investments.
