I've been looking forward to this. Thanks for another great review!
I'm Australian and I've never heard of this! Thanks :)
I understand not liking the pivot in Ned's character but I feel like they wanted to shock us with the extremity of it, and for me it was very effective. That interrogation scene was flippin' insane. George MacKay gives 200% to everything he does, this movie is a strong example of that.
George Mackay was the best thing about this movie. I expected more from the film especially since I loved Macbeth. Wish there has been more "meat" in the narrative apart from establishing his mother's influence.
I want to watch this film but idk if i should
Thought it was trying too hard to be weird for the sake of it. And the weirdness didnt seem natural.
I didnt think Hoult seemed to be that confident in some scenes either. Looked a bit nervous and twitchy in some scenes when he should have projected total confidence in himself and looked fully relaxed in what he was doing. Enjoyed it a whole lot more than that overrated woke crap, 1917 movie though.
The story of Ned Kelly has been told more than a few times before, one from back in the '70s starred Mick Jagger.
Watch his movie, The Snowtown Murders.
If you review this film with an accent...IM GOING TO FREAK OUT...thank goodness. American. Finally.
I loved the kid. The sound quality was horrible and the foley was shockingly poor. The film made no sense. What's w/the dresses? The Irish were known for cross dressing...they even had secret clubs to do this behavior.
So the English would fear them ? What, when they finished picking themselves laughing, look at that title in a dress. The film makes a mockery of the Kelly gang. Russell Crowe was excellent in it though.
the night sequences with the strobing light effect along with how the landscape was captured constantly reminded me of Jennifer Kent's The Nightingale.
hadn't watched a trailer prior to seeing this so only knew that George McKay was in the movie; so the rest of the cast was a great surprise (essie davis, thomasin mckenzie, russell crowe)
This movie owes me 1 1/2 hours of my life back
I loved this movie
Assassins creed was studio meddling, so easy to see, too many cooks in the kitchen...
First
The Nightingale
The Assassin's Creed movie was hot garbage.
It was one of the worst movies EVER made. It was full of rapid cuts, it got worse than Taken 3.
The plot is a complete plot hole itself.
What a giant disappointment.
Very stylized. Kind of reminds me a little of Bronson. I’m sure it’s leagues better than the Orlando Bloom version. 😆
That's what I thought too! Reminded me of the intensity/brooding in Bronson.
They had a choice to not cast Charlie Hunnam... but they did.
What?
@@obsolete8210 That guy sucks. He makes every thing worse.
Bill Scurry he wasn’t half bad in the gentlemen.
Wrong
He did great. Get off your horse. Sure it wasn’t an Oscar winning performance it did fine, I fucking hated him
This is such a fucking underrated movie. It’s so good
