Alpharius and Omegon were on opposite sides during the Heresy. Sort of. Alpharius set up a "warp calming device" to isolate the White Scars and leave them out of the war, Omegon led a secret attack to destroy the facility, then blockaded the White Scars to make sure they'd get all of Rogal Dorn's messages. Then after Alpharius was killed by Dorn, Omegon went to Horus, gave him Dorn's plans of the Sol System defence, took his legion and withdrew from the war. Edit: the plans to the Sol System were likely sabotaged by Omegon. Horus' forces had no idea that Dorn was planning to blow up Pluto, which killed hundreds of Traitor ships, and which they should have known about if Omegon's plans were accurate.
Alpharius and Omegon were given knowledge of the future by a cabal of psyker xenos, what consequences there would be if they and the Alpha Legion sided with or against the Emperor, the two paths they saw for them. 1. Remaining loyal to the Emperor and fighting against Horus, would end in the Emperor's victory. However, the Emperor would be gravely wounded and entombed inside the cybernetic sarcophagus of the Golden Throne, neither alive nor dead and no longer able to actively guide humanity. Ten millennia would pass and the Imperium of Man would be fated to slowly decay, until ultimately Chaos would return resurgent and defeat Mankind, condemning humanity to eventual extinction. 2. Joining forces with Horus and Chaos Undivided and fighting the Emperor. In this vision, Horus was victorious and slew the Emperor. The Traitor Legions would defeat the Loyalists and Terra would belong to Horus, now the greatest Daemon Prince of Chaos. Horus, after slaying his father, would be shocked into sanity by his conscience and violently freed from Chaos' corrupt hold over him. Loathing what he had done, Horus would seek to exterminate the Chaos-corrupted human race in a vast orgy of bloodshed which would consume the entire Imperium in a single Terran century. Though humanity would become extinct, the Chaos Powers would also be destroyed by the destruction of Mankind, since ultimately their existence largely depended upon the collective psychic emanations of humanity in the Warp. The Alpha Legion, as we all know, turned traitor and sided with Horus. Of course, all of this information comes from a source that may or may not be a lie. I am Alpharius. This is a lie.

The Carcharodons Chapter are implied to be Night Lords successors. Supposedly a chapter-strenghs worth of night lords who were conducting reconnaissance at the very edge of the Great Crusade. Like a handful of loyalist chapters of traitor legions, they immediately submitted themselves before the lords of terra to prove they were loyal. Every so often, if the high lords of terra call for them to destroy other traitor space marines (usually NEWLY turned traitor like in the Badab War), they will come *running* . They specialize in destroying other space marines. This has been all but proven when in one of the lore books, night lords space marines reffered to the carcharodons as "lost cousins", implying the night lords can *sense* they are kindred. Plus, they conduct 'red tides' like the traitor legions used to when they needed new recruits.

21:24 yeah but the space wolves literally do this more often and the blood angels too and the dragon spears but they eat their own fallen battle brothers so they can get their memories
To answer your question yes there are successor chapters to the nightlords. The Chacarodons (the space sharks) are stated to be Raven Guard successors but it is widely believed that they are of a chimeric geneseed between the raven guard and the nightlords which would explain both their viciousness and their expertise in stealth (hell they out-nightlords the nightlords). However I believe that they also contain Space wolf geneseed due to them having more bestial features like the sharpened teeth and rubbery gray skin, and an intense love of melee combat (all of their bolters have chain bayonets and are more of used as projectile based melee weapons). Something not common in either the Nightlords or Raven Guard
40K Theories have good breakdowns of successor chapters (gene seed speculation etc.) and I always love Grim Dark Narrator materials (he is breaking up all founding as well).
I think the key to the cloning of the Demon Primarchs is that their souls are mostly Warp Entities that the Emperor recruited and when they went full demon mode those guys bailed out so they're just out there hanging out and some are looking to return.
Russ and Khan would be the most dangerous combo. Because of how opposite they are. Russ is loud, proud and aggressive. He and his sons can take the aggro. Then Khan and his sons would outflank the enemy do to them being reserved and fast.
When bricky says "currently stuck in the walls of the most predigious school in the Imperium as punishment for falling asleep during class", he means that literally. An entire class of the Schola Progenium once tried to rebel and their superiors threw them into wet concrete of a new wing of the school. Their skeletons remain stuck in the walls as a warning for all other students.
Say what you will about the night lords but they were effective. there's a reason why the emperor never did anything about them until Konrad nuked Nostramo. Edit: Have you read the Night Lords Trilogy with Talos and his war band? I highly recommend it if you want to see the characters behind the Midnight Clad.
NL were VERY effective during the crusade, they also had the lowest civilian casualties by far. Of course, those few who died did it screaming their bloody guts out.
Think Abbadon actually sorta succeeded with his black crusades by destroying the Blackstone pylons on multiple planets, which was his main objective with the 13th black crusade and the battle of Cadia, which is why the eye of terror expanded into the galaxy, since the pylons on the now very floaty chuncks are kinda rubble.
Bricky is the type of lore guy that thinks that Ariman is a dust but is great when it is on the surface. Perturabo is such a solo Horus Heresy leader, he was the only guy doing the job, shame everyone thinks they are loosers (Valrak looser fans think that). White Scars are gigaCHADS!
it's a shame he didn't mention the legion of the damned... which are essentially a legion of daemon space marines lead by a now headless Ferrus Manus who first appeared toward the end of the horus heresy when the Emperor resurrected them
Yeah, uh. Where did you get ANY of that information about the Legion of the Damned, let alone why would Bricky bring them up in a video about the *Space Marine Legions* and not something that has shown up AFTER the Horus Heresy?
As mentioned, it's pretty much only the Carcharodons that are possible loyalist successors to the NL. Most of the Terran NL didn't join in with Curze during the Heresy. They actually folded into the Raven Guard after Istvaan. But I believe at some point Corvus expelled all non RG from his legion post heresy, so they left. Hence them heading out and possibly forming the Carcharodons.
The thing is; the Dark Angels have been known to make nosey Inquisitors disappear, give them a pair of cement shoes & kick them into the eye of terror. The only person who knows about the fallen outside the DA's inner circle (& their successor chapters') is a f'ing Space Wolf of all people.
If you're wondering who's that with Rawbutt Guiltyman, that's Belisarius Cawl looking over the creation of the Primaris Marines, ofc all blueberries, and the Primaris process jus makes a chad Marine into a gigachad. How do i know? Just ask Papa Smurf
Probably not. The Death Korps are completely willing to spend lives to get the job done. Heck, that animation shows how they onow that the space marines are more valuable, so they’ll gladly spend their own lives if it means keeping an Angel of Death alive. The Dark Angels perfectly fit the same kind of grim determination and operate on the notion of getting the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible, regardless of what it takes.
Fulgrim cant be that perfect by two facts: The Emperor is a thing (and the Emperor had way more fabulos hair) and Sanguinius is a thing and nobody is better than the Great Angel! Chill zone my man has a good taste in books!
Abaddon the despoiler.... Oh the guy who could only win by crashing the 40k equivilent of a lambo super weapon into a planet to blow it up (which probably created so many problems logistically for him now), a weapon that he hotwired while out for a stroll looking to commit his equivilent of teenage rebellious crimes... sorry can't for the life of me give this character any credit for his wins. Was stopped by the imperium multiple times and nearly lost to a normal man on a strategic level as a superhuman with magical gifts from his sugar daddies. The character is the 40k equivilent to the Trix cereal rabbit: Silly Abby, respect is earned not given.
there's hundreds of successor chapters, any video on that would have to be multiple parts, probably a video for each legions successor chapters would be possible
Speaking of Space Marines only I think my favourite will always be Deathwatch . Mainly because I kinda think that if 40k was less bloated, Deathwatch are you archetypical astartes. More than even ultramarines. I mean its about killing xenos and being a very elite rare special force.
So the reason why he skipped over the 2nd and 11th legions is because officially those two legions had all of their records regarding everything from their primarchs, their homeworld, etc. either expunged or completely destroyed. And it seems like that the reason for may or may not have happened before the Horus Heresy so it isn't known if the Legions themselves had any part in it be they loyal or traitor. Nobody knows why and it's a big fat mystery. Unoffically, I think Games Workshop left those two blank so be a creative free space for people to just make up their own unofficial legion without trying to connect them to back to an already existing legion or primarch. So if you want to make an reverse Death Guard? A loyalist Space Marine chapter focused with having lots of apothecarians (Space Marine field medics) and buffing units up thanks to performance enchaing drugs? then Boom. There's your missing 2nd Legion, the Sacred Hearts or whatever under Primarch Lazarus Hippcrates. Want a chaos undivided traitor legion that specializes in using feral, mutated war beasts? Then boom, there is your 11th Legion, the Dark Maws under Primarch Dogfart McBumblefuck.
My personal favorite Legion is the Ultramarines. They know how to fight a war. You don't fight the guy good at melee in melee or the guy who loves range at a distance. Flexibility is key.
As far as I know there are three night Lords loyalists successor chapters that recruit their members the way the emperor did for the original lesion and are taken from prisoners across the imperium not just one world they're a lot like the night's watch from game of thrones the recruiters will travel all over the imperium and select lots of prisoners and basically make them pit fight or throw them on a death world and only choose the best to join the chapters and two of the chapters are a lot like the conqueradon space sharks and spend a lot of time away from the imperium proper and they still have a really strong sense of justice and punishment their names if I remember right... the night angels the night hunters and the night's dredd

Baldermort's Guide to Warhammer, has good lore videos combined with good storytelling (he writes his own stories to go with the lore)
16:43 uncle ruckus theme 😂
Vulkan: I'm just a hunk, a hunk, a hunk of burnin' love!
37:21 the clip he played was from Life of Brian, the same movie that clip was from and no that wasn't Julius Caesar that was Pontius Pilate
IRON WITHIN!
23:39
Until an artillery shell hits the top of the formation.
about that..... believe me those guys can tank it
it's a shame he didn't mention the legion of the damned... which are essentially a legion of daemon space marines lead by a now headless Ferrus Manus who first appeared toward the end of the horus heresy when the Emperor resurrected them
Yeah, uh. Where did you get ANY of that information about the Legion of the Damned, let alone why would Bricky bring them up in a video about the *Space Marine Legions* and not something that has shown up AFTER the Horus Heresy?
@@dj11o9erIts very popular widely believed head canon.
28:56
Fun fact, they don't see themselves there, they see themselves AS Sanguinius himself
I was waiting for this reaction!
Hows that Red alert 3 going?
Bricky did a great review of that game, and soaked The video with humour, much like The custodes are soaked in oil.
I beleive that was the storage chamber that cawl used for his primaris marines to keep them in stasis until called upon
If you're wondering who's that with Rawbutt Guiltyman, that's Belisarius Cawl looking over the creation of the Primaris Marines, ofc all blueberries, and the Primaris process jus makes a chad Marine into a gigachad. How do i know? Just ask Papa Smurf
imagine getting dark angels as your reinforcements. id just continue on like they aren’t there because they’ve already fucked off to find fallen
Yes, since the introduction of the Primaris space Marines
Funny enough there it is believed theory that one of the original 8 selected marines to become the leader of the grey knight was a Night Lord
35:10 a bit of further irony when you realise they were called the warhounds before they were united with Angron.
There was one fan made animation that had Dark Angels and the Death Korps of Krieg.... wouldn't those command meetings be uncomfortable.
While the World Eaters and Angron are my favourite legion, the Khan comes in a close second.
Something to add when you said that world eaters go to war like dogs... before they joined their primarch, they where called war hounds
Fulgrim cant be that perfect by two facts: The Emperor is a thing (and the Emperor had way more fabulos hair) and Sanguinius is a thing and nobody is better than the Great Angel!
Chill zone my man has a good taste in books!
Perturabo " Screw you guys I'm going home"
Your resident space wolf is late to this video, Happy to see you react to this. 🐺🙏
I've still to read Darkness in the Blood, it would be great to see your Black Library collection!
You know? Speaking about Worlds Eaters that are like angry dogs, their original name before to by the Worlds Eaters was War Hounds.
If I would ever play, either tabletop battle game or tabletop rpg in Warhammer 40000, I would play as Salamander.
I've been waiting for a video like this I love the lore but the game is intimidating
*with bad french accent* "you empty-headed animal food trough waterer!! I fart in your general direction".
My favourite is Salamanders because kindness and FIRE!!!
there's hundreds of successor chapters, any video on that would have to be multiple parts, probably a video for each legions successor chapters would be possible
Speaking of Space Marines only I think my favourite will always be Deathwatch . Mainly because I kinda think that if 40k was less bloated, Deathwatch are you archetypical astartes. More than even ultramarines. I mean its about killing xenos and being a very elite rare special force.
the only successor chapter i actually like and want to know more of is the mantis warriors (successors of the white scars)
Lol my dad went out for milk and cigarettes and never came home 🤣🤣🤣
I'm guessing that the second and eleventh legions were wiped out... and apparently not in a quick and clean way.
Oh the Alpha Legion are my favourite overall faction, love that spy sh*t
Check WesHammer’s Deep Dives into every faction and novels referring the Primarchs and their legions.
sticking with my Salamanders lol
Been waiting on this reaction from u 😁
P.s HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SERIES (star wars vs 40k )
37:20 You guessed right! This was from that film
Ok Boy Scout.
This is all I'll say: be like the Salamanders.
I you want to hear something even more tragic then the Blood Angels, look up their successor chapter the Lamenters.
As far as I know there are three night Lords loyalists successor chapters that recruit their members the way the emperor did for the original lesion and are taken from prisoners across the imperium not just one world they're a lot like the night's watch from game of thrones the recruiters will travel all over the imperium and select lots of prisoners and basically make them pit fight or throw them on a death world and only choose the best to join the chapters and two of the chapters are a lot like the conqueradon space sharks and spend a lot of time away from the imperium proper and they still have a really strong sense of justice and punishment their names if I remember right...
the night angels
the night hunters and
the night's dredd
In the Vylka Fenryka's defence most of the unit names is a mistranslation into low gothic and that is why all the wolf, wolf, wolf stuff comes from.
I love this. All of this.
Oh God, this guy enjoys the gamersupps flavor TheRussianBadger made? Wow
Iv been in a rabit hole of 40k for the last week thanks to Space Marines 2 😂 someone help brothers!! But in all seriousness im inlove! As an old school halo and gears fan this universe is heaven and im glad the game finally pushed me to check it out
Nah horus is in the retconium with malal drinking hot chocolate
This dude should borrow his voice for some lore videos, really strong deep voice. British on top of that.
Bricky got the battlecry wrong for the EC. It's the ALPHA LEGION who say that.
Bricky doesn't know shit. :P
