I have a 2008 CK30. Same thing happened to me. Gear stripped out of fuel pump. 1 of the culprits could be the FUEL SHUTOFF SOLENOID snapping back on the rack causing the gear to fail. Kioti has an option to install a manual shut off to the injection pump. I installed this and use it religously.......pull manual shut off to kill engine....THEN turn the key off. Just listen to the solenoid snapping that rack closed with engine off.......there is alot of force there. I'm sure the metalurgy of the 1st set of gears wasn't great either. Nice video Steve!!
That is soooooo true!!! That solenoid slams. A manual shutoff is ideal. My little bobcat that I rebuilt on here has a manual shutoff so simple and easy! Thanks for watching and commenting Jeff.
That looked so difficult, but you got it done. You are a mechanical surgeon….then wash your hands, pick up the guitar, and can play “Misty” like a pro. Pretty genius.
Great video my CK30 is having starting issues also I can run it an hour ,shut off and it’s 3-4 tries to get running again seems like a fuel pressure problem.
Hey Keith, thanks for the comment. It does sound like it is starving for fuel after sitting a bit. My kubota side by side does the same thing, but only on first start after sitting for a while. The fitting on top of injection pump that the hard lines thread to, pretty sure the are supposed to keep fuel up top when not running.
Having sort of same problem ck3510se was fine the day before. Going to start do 3rd function kit and have a fuel leak now from the t fitting that connects to that pump the oil cooler and fuel rail. I’m stumped.

I have a ck2510 that has the same pump. My tractor runs but I have a white smoke condition under load or when I rev it quickly. I’ve brought it to the dealer and they said it was my fuel but i I run the same fuel in my truck and other machines with no issue. I’ve replaced the filter and confirmed no blockages in the lines to the pump. Oh and coolant level hasn’t changed in 6 years of owning it. Any advice?
Hi. Well my first thought was water, but if level has not changed you can rule that out. But...the fuel tank could have some moisture in it that it is burning off. Fuel smoke is black, oil smoke is blueish, water is white. I think I would try some white bottle Power Service Diesel additive. Most Walmart's carry it. Dump some in there and see if it will absorb the water and make it burn a little less noticable. The only other option to rule fuel out is completely drain tank, rinse, and put some fresh fuel, see what happens.

Yes sir. Google "Zexel 140241-2700" I bought mine from Finditparts. Also some on ebay.

Let me see if I have that. I just took it to the shop, he identified it, and rebuilt it. Bet he just put those 3 gears in it.
Pretty sure it was a E5800-51016 pump. Google that number. On another comment on here I put the part number for the rack gears that went bad.

I would add that that kioti and my blue ford tractor belches black smoke when I hit the throttle and under load...and so does my dodge truck
