I earned my Michigan degree in December 2023. And watched Michigan Football win the National Championship 3 weeks later. Lived experiences I'll remember for the rest of my life. Vacate that.
Just to make a point Michigan had all of its biggest games after the scandal broke. They beat #10 Penn ST, and #2 Ohio St without Harbaugh who was suspended, then beat #17 Iowa in the BigTen Championship, #4 Alabama, and #2 Washington to win the National Championship all in a row. Plus Its already been proven that advanced scouting was used by Penn St, Ohio St, and Purdue against Michigan. Last year in the bigten championship Ohio St gave Purdue all of Michigans plays which they got from Penn St to use against them.

Exactly what JJ went through when he hurt his foot during the psu game. He couldn’t run or throw like he wanted to the final 4 games of the season. He wasn’t healthy until the bama game a month later.

Absolutely nothing is going to take away from my enjoyment of this season and the accomplishments of Michigan football. Every statement from the NCAA and Big Ten so far is that nobody on the U-M staff had any knowledge of what Stalions was doing. It was one guy, desperate to look smart to get promoted, cheating the rules and hiding it. If that is what the final report says, and there is minor to no penalty, people will not be talking about 10 years from now. Even Paul Finebaum has totally reversed his attitude and congratulated them on a 100% legit Natty.

LSU fan here. The 2 allegations, 1) the COVID contact with recruits. Who gives a crap, how many HS players got lost in terms of having a chance to get evaluated and recruited because of the COVID shutdowns, and the BIG10 Commissioner was still on COVID lockdown well after the SEC, ACC and BIG12 had opened up again. As for 2) sign stealing, every team tries to steal signs. None of that involved academically ineligible players. Michigan is 15-0 National champions. Period.
I got the opposite feeling from the game, it never felt close. Washington just didn't have it that day, some of it due to Michigan's defense, but for the most part, the moment was just too big for them. Pissed down their leg. Also, I agree that UGA/UM would have been a good game. I know that, but I don't know if we would beat them. Regardless, Michigan earned it on the field, so congrats to them. Looking forward to a drama free off-season and Shirley the 12 team playoff solves all of the problems everyone has about a 4 team playoff. Shirley.

Luckily for Michigan there are no Bye-Laws that allow the NCAA to vacate wins or titles in the CFP. So they can vacate all their wins but their national championship will always be there.

I'm glad to hear someone saying the final score didn't quite reflect how close the game was. It was really frustrating watching this ass-backwards situation where the Huskies' offense constantly misfired but the defense was somehow keeping it a game. Washington's defense played well above their usual standard for the season, and if they can maintain that level of competence - and preferably, improve on it - I'd think they'll have a good foundation for their next run. I'm looking forward to the PAC-12 teams entering the Big 10.

Penix looked average last night BECAUSE of the Michigan defense. He was rattled. Michigan got after him, and made him uncomfortable enough in the pocket to miss on throws. Michigan had more rushing yards than Washington had total yards. JJ did not NEED to put up a hiighlight reel game. I have also seen JJ be that highlight reel guy before.

Penix had no pressure and faced a bad secondary against Texas. Michigan took away the deep ball w/nfl guys on the back side and they brought pressure all game. Penix took a beating.

He will be fine as a pro. Defensive holding was not called once in this game for either team but happened nearly every pass play. The guy threw for 240 yards and 3 tds against an Alabama secondary that probably has 3 first round picks in it.

The four team playoff was no doubt the best match ups in its 10 year history. Michigan won the title and it wasn't easy, but they did it on the field. They are the best team in college football.

OSU gave Mich the toughest game-24 points with no TO help on the road. Still think MI OSU AL GA - Extremely good and close. Someone gonna win. Watching though Mich left meat on the bone v AL and WA. Pretty clean pro style games v OSU and PSU. To me - MI/AL AL/GA AL/TX MI/OSU MI/PSU PSU/OSU were “pro rookie” games. Almost all the others were “college” games. Let it go already. If one play or one call can determine a game, then your team wasn’t playing well enough to overcome it. If you were leading at any point, then it wouldn’t have mattered.
Ncaa didn't say that. President of ncaa said in an interview that michigan won the natty fair and square. They did. They didn't cheat in that game. Investigation is still ongoing and the findings will be released in a year or 2.
My question is, how do we know they didn't "cheat" through their final games? The story had broke by then...they fired Stallions & suspended Harbaugh by then...but just because they were caught by then & fired one guy who got caught, doesn't necessarily mean they still didn't cheat or just found another staffer after that to do what Stallions did. I wouldn't be shocked at all to find out down the road that they cheated right till the end of the season. Not saying they DID, just saying I wouldn't be shocked to find out.
The title game was last week unless Texas had won, Wash would have been blown out by UGA, Mich. or Bama. They matched up well with Texas' 95th ranked pass defense. Since Texas had hoses on the line they could have played with Mich. or Bama (obviously) Its all about MATCHUPS . I'm glad to hear someone saying the final score didn't quite reflect how close the game was. It was really frustrating watching this ass-backwards situation where the Huskies' offense constantly misfired but the defense was somehow keeping it a game. Washington's defense played well above their usual standard for the season, and if they can maintain that level of competence - and preferably, improve on it - I'd think they'll have a good foundation for their next run. I'm looking forward to the PAC-12 teams entering the Big 10.

Penix looked average last night BECAUSE of the Michigan defense. He was rattled. Michigan got after him, and made him uncomfortable enough in the pocket to miss on throws. Michigan had more rushing yards than Washington had total yards. JJ did not NEED to put up a hiighlight reel game. I have also seen JJ be that highlight reel guy before.

Penix had no pressure and faced a bad secondary against Texas. Michigan took away the deep ball w/nfl guys on the back side and they brought pressure all game. Penix took a beating.

He will be fine as a pro. Defensive holding was not called once in this game for either team but happened nearly every pass play. The guy threw for 240 yards and 3 tds against an Alabama secondary that probably has 3 first round picks in it.

Actually, if the NCAA doesn't put their stinky club foot down and make and enforce some common sense rules for NIL etc, the $$$ disparity is only going to get worse and we will essentially be left with 2 professional mega conferences run like the NFL, "amateur college football" will be done, and everyone else will be left playing club sports and folding most of their non revenue producing athletic teams.

The story had broke by then...they fired Stallions & suspended Harbaugh by then...but just because they were caught by then & fired one guy who got caught, doesn't necessarily mean they still didn't cheat or just found another staffer after that to do what Stallions did. I wouldn't be shocked at all to find out down the road that they cheated right till the end of the season. Not saying they DID, just saying I wouldn't be shocked to find out.

The title game was last week unless Texas had won, Wash would have been blown out by UGA, Mich. or Bama. They matched up well with Texas' 95th ranked pass defense. Since Texas had hoses on the line they could have played with Mich. or Bama (obviously) Its all about MATCHUPS . The Mich. team had resolve, they overcame being behind to Bama and a bad coaching decision, going for it on 4th and 3 on the Wash. 39, he had them on the ropes and let them off.
