Late for the comment. This will be something you will use this every day. I am not kidding. I found the brass one a bit soft. Just me. I nip off the wire edges all the time on mine.
Great Job Sir Mick! I'm not gonna say anything about you not wearing Safety Glasses because others mentioned you not wearing Safey Glasses so if you can find your Safety Glasses that would be great. LOL Looking forward to your next great video. Take care Sir Mick
Cheers Mick. I will do that to the next grinder I get from a scrapyard. I just posted a video of fixing a scrapyard one. I will be converting it to silicon carbide on one end and a diamond wheel on the other for grinding and honing carbide bits.
@@themowerman Interestingly the wheel nuts on mine are threaded right hand on the right hand and left on the left so that they can't come undone. Interesting that the Parkside isn't.
I did the same last year. I put 2 wire wheels on with different strength wires, which is even better. I had to do away with guards as it was slowing it down and they've splay out with use. Use it so... much now👍
Wire wheels are overlooked on a bench grinder. I believe softer is better, and I believe it's better to remove the guard especially if no stone. I'm skimming through youtube to adapt a chuck dead center so I can use anything on an 8inch unit.
Both of my wire wheel units, I took the guard off, so it will run faster, and have more area to clean, and always wear goggles, with a wire wheel..... Take off both sides of the guard..... You will thank me.
I was thinking maybe if you put a smaller washer on the inside of the concave washer that might sure that up a little better ? Your grinder is about as powerful as mine . Does the job , you don't want to clean up that wrench much more it may look like you ain't done nothin' !😆
Dude… running a wire wheel that flings needles, but not even glasses on. Putting wrenches on the motor when it’s plugged in…. I appreciate the video, but keep yourself safe!

@@themowerman I always leave a like and I support your Channel by promoting you to any one on my live and on my radio show
You are going love that thing - makes quick work on plugs and bolt threads. If you upgrade 500+ watt grinder will do all the difference.
The mate it's making all the difference already..
Handy tool with the wire on.
Ta mate

Hey Mick, that’s a nice shop. What size is it?
Hi bud. It's 10 by 20..

Mick where’s your safety glasses those wires come off and I don’t want you to get in your eyes remember you only have 2 eyes. Love your videos
Hmmm I do have a pair somewhere.. I will dig them out
Hold the stone wheel whenever you are tightening the wire wheel
Thanks cupcake

Yeah I thought that when I was doing the video but you know what people are like if you take the guard off..
@@themowerman oh I know.... But give it a try, it will work a lot better.
@@knighthawk86855 one day the guard may just fall off wink wink
@@themowerman Hahahaha.... I didn't see a thing.

@@themowerman Hey Mick does Henry have a UA-cam Channel ?
@@mr1pearl no mate I don't believe so
Pull the inner and outer gard off. No guards are better on the wire wheel.
Yeah I hear you mate.. just can't advice that in a video.. the health and safety boys would slap me up side the ear lol

Never clean a plug with a wire wheel!
Oh you can as long as your carefull..
