I can't even carry a note (they're like kettlebells) but this show was still so very applicable to every Christian. And a shout-out to (almost) Dr. Devon with that sheepdog analogy, it was on-point.
I love this podcast and how God is speaking through it. Such insight and wisdom. I love soaking it in and growing as both a Christian rock musician and a worship musician and someone who is called to pastoral ministry but not yet ordained.
if this note will ever be noticed, I wish you can discuss and share something to specifically guide the members ministering to children in the church and how to nit ruin family Bible conversation but reinforce or encourage it. We have a lot who come from non-Christian family. Thank you in advance and God bless/use your ministry for His glory.
I am hoping they might address this in a future episode: One thing I struggle with is wondering if the idea of worship leaders/worship teams have helped drive the consumer mentality of the western church? I can't pick music that expresses someone else's heart of worship to Yahweh and it seems most people come into church having given no thought or prayer to worship and expect to come and consume "worship" as a product that someone else has prepared. I am not at all anti-worship leader/team but as a pastor I have wearied of watching people year after year consume a product but never truly worship.
You should go back and watch all the episodes before this one, music as worship and accurate theology in song are addressed. Since this is part one of Shepherding Souls Through Song they might bring those topics up again.

Thank you for encouraging and reminding me how to better shepherd my church as a worship leader.

Did anyone mention music as worship?
Also there should be good theology in every song. Is the song biblically correct?
