Lou Woo - Spotlight On Bobbin Lace Suppliers: Deirdre Carver

To commemorate the birth of my grandchildren, I asked 3 bobbin suppliers to create a bobbin for each of them, this is the opening of the parcel that I received from Deirdre Carver.
The only information I sent was the name and date of birth, the design etc I left up to the bobbin maker.
None of the suppliers knew that I was going to make this video but I wanted to showcase the amazing talent and suppliers that we have in the UK for bobbin lacemaking.
I had not seen Deirdre's bobbins before but the artwork looked exceptional when I visited the online website, so I made an enquiry and these are the bobbins that I received. Deirdre did ask if I wanted bears and I said that they would be fine but other than that, I left the design process up to her.
