Been waiting to pull the trigger on one of those expensive oil skin/waxed canvas bedrolls. I’m going with this option instead. Good recommendation. Thanks!
Do you know if anyone has had success in using camp dry to "waterproof" the bivy bag? Or perhaps in waxing the cotton part so that it's like a "wax canvas tarp" for water resistance?
There are many options out there not shown here. Shopping around, military surplus or visit thrift stores are also viable options.

I will definitely be looking into this for my next hike
Outstanding! Thank You!
Nice video. it looks like you built yourself a Czech Army bedroll. Good idea putting the mat inside so its a simple roll out, inflate and get in

I am actually planning on trying different waterproofing methods on it this weekend and will be posting what works well.
@@Tailored_Outside Nice! Subscribed and looking forward to what you find out :)

Love to see what you say after a night in it.
It's been part of my sleep system for a few years. I sleep great in it.
Sounded like 16’s, you near Shaw?
Not Shaw, they are navy but I didn't get a good look.
@@Tailored_OutsideI ordered that bivy bag last night. Are you actually located in SC? Wild if you are as that’s where I am.
No, I'm not in SC.
