Going to practice these today! Now starting my glasses for the Creatives Market. Never been confident to do flowers/leaves on glass before. Thank You so much for these tutorials x
Hello Donna, long time fan here. 20+ years. Originally I thought I would paint all sorts of flowers and try to sell them. I never felt good enough to get into the business. I dropped painting flowers over 10 years ago. I am currently redecorating and using a lot of roses in my decorating. Now I want to paint roses and leaves. I'm getting better than I ever was by practicing daily. I do run into some problems. Somehow I seem to suddenly have too much paint on my brush. And I also seem to have one blended color rather than two distinct colors. I'd be very happy to see a video on problems and how to solve them. Also, are the brushes you use now better for a learner, or are the green ones just fine for a beginner?
@donnaSDewberry what is the name of your paint loader? I have been trying to find that exact one. Also, what brushes do you find to be best (i.e. don't shed)
I'm using the same brushes, paint and floating medium but when I go back for more paint after the first couple strokes my paint always gets muddy looking. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Watch my video on how to load brushes. Make sure you are keeping your handle of the brush straight up and down at all times to avoid pushing paint from one side of the brush to the other.
Love your leaves but this is deceptively hard. Your hand covers some of what you're doing also which makes it more difficult. I will keep practicing though. You make it look easy.
Thank you Donna.
This video is perfect for me.
I just find your channel so very beautiful I wish a=I can paint like this 😔

@@DonnaSDewberry ok thanks
I get globs of paint on the outside of my brush. 😢
Flatten the brush load on the palette when you see this happen.
@@DonnaSDewberry thank you 💞

It's not hard, just takes practice. Stay with it, you'll get it.
