I don't think she was really willing to work hard for it. Not that she doesn't work hard but you basically have to sacrifice everything, get stuck on tourbuses for months on end... she was never going to do that given she left SB so she could be a more present and stable mother.
@@theresuga my impression was that, it wasn't about a lack of sacrifice - more that she didn't know how to "play the game" when it came to stuff like interviews. look at radio 1 - they play everything rita ora releases non-stop, not least because she's a great interviewee. so they play the songs of people who boost their ratings when invited on.
@@dylanparker130Oh I think she knows how to play the game - she was working in the industry for years before her solo career. But yeah, I don't think she wants to play the game, especially when you have a kid and that becomes your strongest focus.

Yeh the songs got a bit retro-80s in 2007, that's also when Cadbury's adverts started playing all those 80s songs and skinny jeans became popular again
With all the 2000s songs making a comeback, if this song got rediscovered again - featured on a popular show or whatever - this could be a #1 as it’s that good and todays generation would be blown away!
Being put with a dance act from an alreadz established girl band must have been a real kick in the teeth, considering they usually unknowns. No wonder she looks uninterested in the video.
@@kurthaven834 whut? Is this a bit? Like when people said it was good for Rhianna to give 'new artists' like Paul McCartney an opportunity... If it's not a bit, groove armada were incredibly successful well established artists by this point.
I really miss the 00s. As an American I didn’t discover British artists like the Sugababes until a just a few years ago while I was watching a Top Gear special from 2005 on UA-cam.
If you actually listened to the lyrics, it's about a new girl that her man has now after she left him. Also this song was written for Estelle but was given to Mutya
@@chiselmarr1414 yes i have ears and I hear the lyrics. The release was very timely, that’s why I made the connection. If you read my response you would have seen that. I didn’t know it was written for Estelle specifically - cool!
Why don’t you just say it? The 2000s were the fucking best. A celebration amidst doom and gloom, and before social media turned everyone into D-list celebrity wannabes.
This video takes me back to the mid to late 2000s! There will never be another decade like the 2000s ever again! This tune I forgot about! Mutya deserved a bigger solo career, better than Adele
Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada are pretty similar artists, they reside in the same world of music so I can totally see that connection. The drums throughout and bassline at the end of the song is very Groove Armada though
I have just thought, although this sounds very 2000s, it does also sound a bit 80s. I just to had to come and listen to this for a bit of nostalgia. I liked when they used to play it on ITV for the England games.

100% agree. Always loved her voice.
couldn't agree more - mutya, winehouse & gabrielle are the top 3 voices of their generation imo

2007 bit of a turning point for music, you'd never hear anything like this in the charts now. Love IT!
Yeh the songs got a bit retro-80s in 2007, that's also when Cadbury's adverts started playing all those 80s songs and skinny jeans became popular again
it was also when daft punk did their live tour essentially birthing EDM
I was about 15 back then wish I was my age now but back then so I could relive the music and culture better
2007 was one my best music yrs
1996_1997 best years for electronic music
Always loved the "temporary title for a file that just stuck around" vibe of the name of this track
My stick to the wall speakers just gone and fell off off and made me jump on my feet
Mutya always had the edge over the Sugababes ... Fantastic voice Fabulous look ... This track still hits hard after all these years ❤
2020 and still a blinder of a tune!! Back in the back when this came on places erupted. Great times! 😎
MutyaSoooo hot
Bang on.
Solid Tune.

Why does this still feel so fresh
Makes me feel so young!!
It's becuz they were playin our era back on the track and now its up to date maybe..ahead of there time I say ..
Wasn't really ahead of its time TBH, it's very 80s
Damn so true. That was childhood
Are you kidding? That video is so terrible! The superimposing may as well have blu-tack!
2022 ..cheers Mutya .. so many years later n your class still showing through .. this track just takes you to that special place in your life .. x
Pure pop perfection. My only gripe is that it just doesn go on long enough !
I've been searching for this in, like, forever! Still an amazing bop 14 years later!
This 19 year old blonde girl (Tamzin Merchant) turned out to have quite an acting career
Knew I recognised her!
Queen Katherine Howard!
This deserves more views! Awesome summer track!
This song has been empowering me for years. Thanks so much!
Going to see Groove Armada tonight in Auckland Nz I PRAY they play this song ❤
This is one of the songs that is getting me through Covid 19. What a voice.

Smooth vocals and powerful beat, such a pace. Great song.
