Condemnation, Conscience, and Confidence | HSYG [1 John

This week in high school youth group we talked through 1 John 3:18-24, where John talked about self-condemnation, our conscience, and confidence before God in prayer.
Romans 8 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are "in Christ." John reminded us that those who keep God's commands (to believe in Jesus and love one another) abide in Him and He in them. And yet, sometimes our hearts condemn us - sometimes we condemn ourselves and have a hard time forgiving ourselves. Thankfully, God is greater than our hearts, He knows our hearts, and He invites us continually into ever-deepening fellowship with Him.
