Not going to lie here. Brought a tear to my eye seeing Ruby in the doorway smiling at all the goodies about to get slotted in.
That's one of my favorite things about Ruby. When every you see her from the front, she always looks like shes smiling and ready to rip off a 7 second pass. She was such a good car. She'd always hook up no matter who was driving her. Honestly, she was the most dialed in car Cleet has ever had.
Watching Leroy & Ruby is like listening to a bands most popular songs, yeah sometimes you get over it and want to hear something new but you always go back to the hits!
It's like Bing Crosby and Brenda lee (White Christmas and Rockin around the Christmas tree for the younguns)

Yup. I think Ruby was the next drag car he got after Leroy. She's been with the channel for years. She's the most dialed in car he's ever had. I remember his videos of his friends driving her down the track and every single time no matter the driver, she'd hook up and always run an 8 second pass. She was such a good car and I'm so glad that they are bringing her back. Plus, she always looks like she has a smile while going down the track.
Crazy to see all the projects and guys working on the channel.... I remember the golf cart and raising hell was what got me hooked!

Can attest to the cold start coyote sound... had a rental over the holidays, a '23 f-150 75th anniversary edition. Thing sounded like a 200k+ miles LS for about a minute on first start of the day. Once it got some heat in it, was fine. It only had 21k miles on it so it wasn't worn out.

Edit to add, I realized maybe it sounded ungrateful, and it's not. I totally get that not everything is meant for the internet, trust me. I have done my fair share of things I'd rather not have on video or photographic evidence, much less on the internet. Especially when they have to have insurance and such. So I totally get it, I'm just jealous that I don't have a group like that, if I'm honest 😂

That new rear end is like what they put on a class 8 semi-truck, fully floating rear axle. If they put on the right type of hubs/wheels on mullet they can change the axle out without removing the wheel lol.

Bit optimistic there break an axle you just undo 3 bolts pull the axle out and throw another in. Except there is likely a chunk of axle stuck in the differential. So you will have to pull the other axle and run something through the center and try to knock out the stuck piece.

Give DRP a call! They have bearing spacers that will reduce the drag and load of those floaters even more. Its an awesome one time buy for huge results. Going even further on drag reduction, call up Micro-Blue bearings and get their coated races and bearings. You can run grease as thin as ketchup. We use it in the circle track racing industry all the time.

I guess you didn’t catch the street part of my comment. Full doors, ac, heater, full interior car that can casually do 6’s. Doesn’t matter how many 6 second capable cars he owns. Eventually one of them will go 5,s lol and you can alway de-tune to run slower. In my opinion Ruby deserved this treatment WAY before Mullet ever did.
Ruby is what got me following this channel and her getting back together is the first thing in a long time that brings a smile to my face.

Loved watching the excitement in Cleets face when Ty and Jackstand are explaining the new rear end for Mullet, classic. The knowledge that these friends have between them is insane and a testament to why they have the success that they have. From down under and have followed Cleetus (like a lot of others) from nearly the start, and have never not had a smile on my face while watching their videos xx
Ruby is the first project I saw that brought me to the channel. I had heard of old Cleet and Leeroy but never watched the channel. Good to see her get back on the strip!

@@extremecheddarswityomomhey, Mullet took what felt like AGES after they announced an El Camino build, especially after the change of plans. I for one am content being patient and seeing what they come up with, I'm sure I'll be sick when it's done.
Ruby could be said to have carried the team pretty solid there for a while, at least in my opinion. I like to see it getting some real equipment.
Couldn't agree more. Ruby's just not built to do the crazy numbers, and that's ok. being reliable and running the number wins. 8.50 is going to be a mild tune for these guys and shouldn't go through parts near as bad.

I remember back in the day seeing all those Leroy thumbnails and thinking "man,that's a really cool looking car!" And he's by far my favorite but it was Ruby that got me to subscribe and I've been a huge fan ever since.

1:33 I have a 1997 Mustang 5.0 Lx with a Complete Coyote Power Plant. I had the same issues. Out of the blue it hit me. I removed my FFR system. I went with the Aeromotive regulator and haven't had a start issue at all. Now every piece of the FFR system is in boxes and collects dust! Check your System. It may not be the one you prefer. It was the best option for Me at the time.

I've been waiting forever for Ruby to be back in the shop. Mullet's a beast, Leroy is where it started, McFlurry is a cool experiment, but Ruby was always the heart of why I watched the channel. She always got the hand me downs and said, "Hold my beer while I show you what I can do with the afterthought parts". She was predictable and dependable up to the electric issues to where she was the one you'd let people who never raced before take her for a trip down the strip. She just wanted a chance. However, I don't know for sure, but it seems she just doesn't like Dr. Tune Em All sitting in the driver's seat. She prefers James' mentality of win at any cost, LOL.I hope this is the start of a full on showing of love for her, she deserves it.
