This works for both control types but is far more effective on controller. Because there's a minimum crosshair speed for recoil to be suppressed. With a mouse, maintaining that speed would cause you to overshoot even with the counter strafe, but on a controller, those overshots will aimbot into the target

every weapon has its own effective hipfire range (also depending on attachments). ads makes u see less & move slow = ez kp. so generally try to hipfire as long as possible. only ads if u really need to. great challenge is to unbind ads for an evening :) after some time easier games as u might think!

Do you have to change the direction you're controlling the recoil everytime you switch strafe directions? Ex. You strafe left - pull the recoil right. Strafe right - pull the recoil left?
This is helpful but when I use strafing targets it is much more difficult to try to break the habit of tracking and shooting. I have a much harder time strafing right and reducing recoil than when I strafe left to reduce recoil.
I use a sensitivity of about 3 (ALC) for ads and the recoil smoothing feels like it’s not quite there all the time, especially in long-mid range engagements. Does recoil smoothing activate off of a threshold of speed or does it only consider the input from the stick, regardless of how quick you are turning? If so, do you think I should practice a lower ads sensitivity? (Or something else??)
yes feel free to pick her; great frag potential with good hitbox and animations plus safe reposition for u (tac) and ur team (ult). try to slide into ur tactical so u dont get slowed and use it out of cover into cover. dont q infront of the enemies barrel. regarding ult my hot take: use it in every fight and whenever u have it. that way ull create a lot of unnecessary portals but ull get a feeling as quick as possible^^ but also try out other legends every once in a while for an evening, itll help u learn how to counter their abilities quickly

I’m filling convinced that pros get a cheat from apex. I’ve tried this 1000 times and I’ve got it down pretty good but they’ll use the r99 with 0 recoil and beam dudes across the map. I’ve also found a bunch of videos of pros shooting where they’re standing still. And also a bunch were they have a hand cam and don’t seem to move the mouse at all. Really convinced something fishy is going on haha
Yeah I'm also finding it really hard to believe that a lot of the people I'm spectating that aren't even professionals are really THAT good. It just looks ludicrously unhuman.

to directly answer the question: no, sens/dpi doesnt matter. and yes, you need to move the mouse above a certain speed (but not consistently at the same). recoil smoothing also has a max distance where it is effective, above the enemy has to "help" by moving himself otherwise you naturally cant move your mouse fast enough while staying on target. if hes further than max distance for smoothing and standing still u could jitter aim which uses the same mechanic to eliminate recoil. but that requires way more skill and training :)

Usually when I watch other pros doing highlights, they will be standing still and somehow have no recoil. Or they will be moving, not moving their screen. Not having recoil. How does that happen?

its something you need to learn when to use it and when not to use it, think of it like a trick, or a type of play. you can do layups in basketball but you shouldnt only do layups, there is a time and a place.
@@Omegapootytang just keep playing the game - and be conscious about your aim. keep your crosshair on head/shoulder height at all times. in combat focus on the target, imagine your eyes are lasers and beam them, your hand will follow. out of combat stay on your toes, stay warmed up, try to preaim consciously where enemies might appear (flick to doors, corners, windows etc). *If ur on mnk i can recommend kovaaks aimtrainer
If this is really the case, Why is it that they’re always standing still the opponent still have zero recoil? This is bs mechanic that should not exist or be needed in any shooter. It allows for questionable behaviors to slip through the cracks. and give it unnecessary advantage over other players.

Doesn't work mid or long range.
Even if your threshold is 2 or 3 in alc. You should lower the ads pitch like 90 to 95. You can still pull the recoil
