I can listen to Haley sing all day long and never tire hearing her beautiful voice. Sometimes she's so soothing and other times thrilling, it's always all very good. My favorite for ever and ever. She is a once in a lifetime talent.

Yes, I do. Until Haley's cover she had the last version that achieved any popularity, and as far as I'm concerned, one of the best.
Jack Dasef Doris Day and others covered it before Cass. Also, many people have had popular covers of it since Cass. Michael Buble for an example. Cass does a good job at the song but I just hope people know she didn't write the song, nor was the first to cover it.
Voice of an angel with a face to match it; it doesn't get any better than this.

Just to be clear, this song was written in 1931. Ozzie Nelson was the first to record it, but it has been recorded by lots and lots of people.

In truth, songs like Dream a Little Dream aren't much when it comes to lyrics. They're just nice music. I'd honestly equate the quality with the bubble gum pop of today. Although, their more novelty stuff (like Love Potion #9, or anything that Demento used to play) had some good stuff. I like the narcotic inspired stuff of the hippy movement, myself. I could listen to Yes all day. Metal has some brilliant lyrics, but I'm not really a fan of most of it.

Man, that's some statement: "They're just nice music." It sounds crazy.
Actually, I think I know where you're coming from about the lyrics. but every now and again you get a song that seems to just ooze a kind of nostalgic feeling. The melody doesn't need "deep" or edgy lyrics. It's a melody that will lodge in the memory, and the words suit the mood the melody creates, and are easy to pick up.
This is one of those songs that so many folk will regard in that way. As with all music, it probably won't weave it's spell on everybody, but it works for an awful lot of people, and it does for me too. I hope you were able to enjoy it even if it's not to your normal taste.

You are so right. Haley was the real winner of Idol that year, she certainly was the best. I know the best doesn't always win #1 spot. Sometimes the winner is #3. But true talent does make a difference and usually the most talented, makes it the biggest.

I wait so much to see her dream come true, he deserves to be a fucking popular and worldwide famous and recognized for her work and talent. I first saw her at PMJ's videos and wow I thought she was a very top Singer at USA, and i was the only one who didnt know her.. she convinced me she was a jazz diva. And now I just can't stop eatcuing her videos and takes by everyone who goes to her shows... :)
and she gave me this feeling that we can never Believe it is over, and try it again, never give up at the first No and Believe in ourselves.

I like this style more than Adele. It's a sweeter sound, to me. Haley make more music like this but originals. Your voice has a crisp timbre, never heard such a sweet-like-candy but also nostalgic voice. When I listen it makes me feel happy.
