@@AmusementCircus4K yeah CP really leveraged their experience with the different HalloWeekends parades over the years. Cedar Fair's Grand Carnivale parades are colorful. But CP's always been about very good floats accompanied by Live E! performers and some regular employees.
You can find the 2019 Grand Carnivale parades for Kings Dominion and Dorney Park on my channel. I still have to record the 2021 parades. Cedar Point's 150th parade was modeled after Grand Carnivale.
4K clarity looks great. It’s fun to see the show performers in different costumes. Some of them do different things on different days. I’ve shot some CP HalloWeekends parades from two separate POV’s into a single video also. One of them from that area. How much do you think UA-cam compresses 4K like it does standard HD? I rarely watch my own YT videos they look better on the Mac. I can’t imagine how long 4K takes to upload let alone process as you mentioned. If I ever did 4K I’d upload it via Ethernet vs Wi-Fi.
4K takes a long time to upload and several days to process. I know UA-cam processes 4K down to lower resolutions SD and HD. I could speed up processing by shooting in 1080p, but I believe the quality of 4K is worth it.

I remember MiniDV 480p in 2008 taking a long time to process on a Mac Pro and upload lol I can see your compressed 4K down to 1080p is clearer than native 1080p HD compressed by YT. It doesn’t really look ‘compressed’ so I can imagine how good it looks raw. Have you watched it on a 4K TV? Come to think of it I shot the CP All Wheels Extreme show a few years ago in 1080p60. It is detailed but motion looks odd. I can’t recall the file sizes I should dig some up. Maybe I should shoot the parade like that just for kicks. I also did a test in 2015 shooting 1080p 30p instead of 24p in AVCHD instead of mp4. One is called “Rougarou Cedar Point 2/6 All Elements Exit POV Canon HF R400 HD Sample AVCHD” the best examples start around 2:45 if you want to see some of that. you can see the roller coaster itself has pretty solid lines. I use iMovie it's much simpler than Final Cut Pro. I remember to trash any huge Render folders inside the Library lol Final Cut Pro you can do that without digging. What editing app do you use for the 4K?
