this is awesome, not only to look at, its also perfect for your health and get away from the city hustle drama, everyone need a house like this to refill the energy and silence.
Can't seem to help but be bothered by the whole "Treehouses are becoming adult" and "they aren't just for kids anymore."... At the end, Mr. Garnier hits it on the head: "An adult is just an older kid... 15, or 45, you can still have a treehouse" Exactly. It's not like treehouses changed. Perhaps, we adults are just starting to "grow up" and we're realizing we take our lives too seriously.. Anyway, this was fun video and a great concept. Lovin it.
Work kills us. We didn't evolve to live most of our lives doing the exact same task in the exact same location, being obedient to bosses and bossing around others. The more time you spend not looking busy and serious at work, the less likely you are to get promoted. That behavior bleeds into our lives outside of work and we are too exhausted to have adventures, except on vacations, which are too brief and many can't afford to really go anywhere that exciting (most often it's used to see family).
I agree. I just turned 46 and I would definitely live in a tree house in a heartbeat...sometimes i do take myself a little too seriously when it comes to certain things but when it comes to stuff like this...no way. I love tree houses and just being cozy
A real house uses far more trees, plastic, metal, glass, fabric, etc.. I would think they have less impact on mother nature then even any average size home.
These are beautiful and unique. I would love to stay in one for a vacation to experience the different types so I could see what would work for me long term. Love everyone's different creative touches to their tree house. LOVE THE DOGGIE! Thank you for sharing.
Hi my friend thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home my kids really enjoyed watching this video on UA-cam channel so gorgeous and very nice colors and styles love love love love it and God bless you and your family my friend
That was great to watch. Tree houses have always been playful. Reminds me of the movie Swiss family Robinson" for sure if I build a tree house I would want it to resemble that tree house Down to the sky room looking at the stars.
Absolutely. I'm almost 55 & all I want is a treehouse in the northern Phoenix Arizona area to live-in year-round. Just one problem - There are no trees!!!
+Voxboy876 Sooner or later they start cracking. But you don't need trees' growth for that. Just wait for them to start swinging and rocking on typhoons/hurricanes.
Goodness, there are no words to describe how badly I would love/want to live in a treehouse. However, I'm afraid I will never have enough money to live that dream :(
I love these houses, especially the bigger ones. Just tell me, please, what happens when there's a huge storm, thunderstorm, gale force winds, heavy rains, etc. What happens if thunder strikes the tree, does it set the house on fire? What precautions do you do to prevent the house from total destruction in a huge storm?
You mean Lightning strikes (not thunder)? and I think weather, lightning, fire, are just about as much a concern as with a regular house. It's just that with a tree as a base. Trees are very sturdy and they don't fall down unless there's something wrong with them even in "gale force winds" but I've seen in several videos about multi-tree treehouses they make a static attachment to one tree but make a flexible attachment on the other threes.
Of course! Wouldn’t you? Given reasonable construction and standards of living it could very easily be a full time or part time or supplemental living space. Keep an open mind and you can do anything.
I think living in trees is the smartest idea. With all the flooding around certain areas is a much economic to stay off the ground and won't have to keep repairing every year.
5k and 6 months. Makes you question why we have a housing problem in most of the west. Especially considering building a house in a tree is probably harder than on the ground.
I mean.. the trees shown here are pretty tall that i'd say they are fully grown. As long as you dont cut the tree or something then really you shouldn't cause any harm.
it doesn't really affect the tree much at all. you are building under its canopy, so you do not obstruct the sunlight. the braces he designed would actually help minimize the stress too.
Do you guys take projects outside your country? I have a project that I am working on and it is to do with tree house village above a permaculture land. Please advise. Many thanks
I like the idea, in theory, but I have to ask: what happens when the tree dies? Even if it leads a natural life-span, eventually the tree(s) will die and collapse. What happens to your house?
Chet Thomas Trees live much longer than the average house. You pick trees that are young with no indications of health issues, and monitor them every now and then for issues.
We plan on within 3 months start building our Log home on about 50 plus acres of land, and we do plan to have Pete Nelson build us a Tree House way behind out house. YES for the Summer or Early Fall Mark and I would Live in a Tree House which is NOT just for little kids anymore! I'm going to have Pete build us a 2 bedroom, 1 full bath, Kitchen with GAS, and a Nice little Dining Room and Living Room with a Fireplace. YES we will be most comfortable in that Tree House! Peace Be Unto You All and GOD Bless! Jane.
To protect the enviroment a little more i guess the best way will be that humans start living in tree houses, this houses can be conected by bridges, with sequoias it is possible to add 3 more houses, the more green our world gets the better life we get in return from nature.
I've been dreaming of revolutionary housing concepts for years. A tree house would be great, however, in this video it looks like they use large spikes for support (I don't have my headphones today) which is not sustainable for the tree. There are friction, rope, vice type of methods for getting support without having to interrupt the trees nutrition flow or exposing the tree to unnecessary bacterial risks.
this is awesome, not only to look at, its also perfect for your health and get away from the city hustle drama, everyone need a house like this to refill the energy and silence.

It's always been my dream to own & LIVE in an actual treehouse.
+latishabrown801 ssame
it's always been my dream to be a chupacabra.
+André M They're nice aren't they?
+leo ll 😂😂😂😂😂Isn't that some sort of Mexican beast legend, a mix of 2 different animals or something?
latishabrown801 no legend. Real shit.😨😲
Looks like fun. Most people never outgrow the appeal of playing in a tree house. In my seventieth year, I think I'd enjoy it as much as ever.
I want to live in one of these sooooo bad.
me too
Anneke Westra
yes I do to
🙋
I mean you kinda can, if you buy a plot of forest land, you can build your own
A throwback to childhood and being surrounded by the beautiful forest? Sounds heavenly to me xD
Genuine question: How environmentally friendly are these in comparison to commercial housing?
@FrancisLappin Honestly I was thinking the same thing because I want one too 😂😅
A real house uses far more trees, plastic, metal, glass, fabric, etc.. I would think they have less impact on mother nature then even any average size home.

GOD I love that man's treehouse, it's beautiful.
It's a home that blends perfectly with nature, like the hobbit houses that are now trendy, and the earthships!
My dad built a tree house on his own at the age of 11. It's crazy! I've always wanted a tree house and I'd totally sleep in one.
im doing a tree house where i can sleep ps: its not gonna be as big as a house
fn 2198 Cool, let me know the end results!
Watching this calmed my soul and made me smile, thank you😊
This man is very, very talented.
I would love to live inside a treehouse. They’re so beautiful, and being out in the wilderness would be amazing.
I will retire in a treehouse!! I miss the trees so much! Wish I could be in the trees now! Wish my kids could live there now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jentiago Working on a treehouse right now that I intend to live in! Check out my first video if you like, more to come...

Cactus house?
Hug a tree today they are alive, take care of Gods Creatures ..
The dog chasing its tail is so cute
Live trees grow....so what happens to the structures if the main foundation (trees) are growing ??
+Voxboy876 Sooner or later they start cracking. But you don't need trees' growth for that. Just wait for them to start swinging and rocking on typhoons/hurricanes.
good point. Im not closed off to this idea, its just 50 years of being taught the whole "solid foundation" thing
mi name vithowdsb
Every year you get someone to come in and take care of maintenance, but eventually the tree takes to the structure and actually helps lock it in.
Most tree houses like mine are built to grow with the tree, and allow movement in the tree(s) but are still secure
Birthday gifts !! makes me laugh lol xD 5:57
Goodness, there are no words to describe how badly I would love/want to live in a treehouse. However, I'm afraid I will never have enough money to live that dream :(
+sunderingpants oh hey I didn't catch that the first time, but the cost of plumbing & electricity adds more...still seems pretty do-able though :-)
lil geode If you rent it out you could start to make your money back :)
I believe in your dream, make it come true. :D
Ohhh yes I do! Its my dream since I was kid to live in a treehouse or cabin somewhere in the mountains only with my dog and my rifle :)
So amazing Treehouse

I love your tree house !! I give this video a thumbs up... Wish I could give more.
I totally agree, it's the whole mind set, peace and beauty from nature.
Of course! Wouldn’t you? Given reasonable construction and standards of living it could very easily be a full time or part time or supplemental living space. Keep an open mind and you can do anything.
there needs to be more of these
i love this place so much
wow nice idea..i wish i could have that too..
very beautiful...tree hous
hey this is amazing especially I would live in that final treehouse man I would love to make videos up in there
Really Cool. But I hope Lightning Doesn't Hit The Tree on your tree house.
wow very nice I love these treehouse they are beautiful
I think living in trees is the smartest idea. With all the flooding around certain areas is a much economic to stay off the ground and won't have to keep repairing every year.
I don't consider the really big ones tree houses just because trees are around.
Must. Have. Treehouse.
Love your video. Really cool. Thanks for sharing 😊
This is awesome I wish I can have three house one-day haha 😍😍😍🙏
I wanted a Treehouse so badly after watching Swiss Family Robinson. So far, never happened, but I'm not dead yet... 😊
5k and 6 months. Makes you question why we have a housing problem in most of the west. Especially considering building a house in a tree is probably harder than on the ground.

Nice --- i would love to stay in a treehouse.
I love this idea. Wondering how it affects the life and growth of the tree....does any know?
I mean.. the trees shown here are pretty tall that i'd say they are fully grown. As long as you dont cut the tree or something then really you shouldn't cause any harm.
But im not a tree expert tho but i do think they're fully grown
+Doctor Robotix trees never really stop growing
it doesn't really affect the tree much at all. you are building under its canopy, so you do not obstruct the sunlight.

Love the concept but hate bushfires.
TO THE TREE!
Why does he need a permit if it's his terrain??
Probably because it’s a large scale project
Just love it.
I searched igloo and now i am here lol
This is what I dream when I was a kid crazy 😎🍻
Had a dream I had a tree house to get away from the world to relax. Got curious if people actually legitimately lived in a tree house.
How much for you to build me one with a suspension bridge to go to a 2nd building?!! I want one so bad!!!
So beautiful but isn't it prone to lightning?
I would actually consider living in a treehouse, I just have so many questions about it that would determine my decision.
Biutiful house i want to live in dise house . Naice laife .
I like the idea, in theory, but I have to ask: what happens when the tree dies? Even if it leads a natural life-span, eventually the tree(s) will die and collapse. What happens to your house?
