I've always been curious if somebody (from Drake's team?) put a limit on how many tags Conductor could use OR if it was an artistic choice.... There's significantly less than usual.
Nah- the tag didn’t feel good on either one of them records. Every time I let it run I felt like it was taking away from the moment. Drake gave me 100% creative control beat wise.
@@ConductorWilliams This is cool to know. Me and my Boy Inspectah noticed that too. Congrats for the placement again bro! Really enjoy your content, especially appreciate and connect with your presentation style.
Lowkey I fw just the “Conductor” tag for those two songs. When it’s Griselda the full tag fits more I don’t even know if that makes sense but it does 😂
when i heard the "conductor" in 8am in Charlotte i knew it was going to be one of my favorites songs of the album, and it was indeed.Thank you ConductorWilliams
That’s what boi 1 da said. He was rejected by drake all the time his beats were good already by itself and that’s why boi 1 da has so many songs with drake now cuz he stopped
This is easily one of the best drake songs over one of his best selection of beats. I listened to this song 10+ times on the way home from work and it’s just something about this song that really gets to me. Not even trying to be emotional and both of my older brothers are still alive so it’s not even anything like that. This song is called stories about my brother but the beat sounds like my grandfather. Jazzy, soulful. kinda how I imagine late night tv shows all sounded in the 40s, 50s, 60s. Idk man I could write a small essay about this song. Thank you for making this video and salute for giving the most high his credit! Assalamu Alaikum 🤝🏾
We might need a Conductor's Art Corner segment soon to hear you talk more about your fave painters and visual artists. Always love hearing you explain how they influence your music!
8am in charlotte is def one of my top 5 drake songs oat. Maybe even top 3. So glad ur beats are becoming so mainstream nowadays them things go so incredibly hard
Reminds me of a beat I made recently. Saw a photo of a woman at a museum and thought about the emotion she might be feeling. Then tried to make a beat around that. Other art forms really are a great resource for producers.
This beat makes me feel some type of way - melancholy, nostalgic, reflective, soulful and chill. All those human emotions in a beat. Makes me wanna move the pen. My fave track on the album. Thank you Conductor 🙏
I appreciate you making these and being apart of the drake project. These tracks mean a lot to me bc I have been a fan for a long time but these tracks allowed me to really appreciate him now more. I always wanted to hear him on some of ur shit. Peace
CONDUCTOR!! (the shortened producer tags are fire) You did a phenomenal job with the Drake tracks, and Stories About My Brother is probably my favorite of the lot. I love the laid back vibe.
You can see the pure nostalgia in your eyes when recounting the all too familiar nightly chore of doing the dishes. Something we rued or avoided as children, and maybe now wish we had the blessing of doing one more time, if only to be in the presence of those no longer with us who ate off the plates we hurriedly cleaned.
You’ve been such an inspiration for me. The last couple of months I’ve barely made any progress with my music and then I came across your production. Got myself a MPC and have then been working on my music. Thank you man!!
One of your smoothest pieces of production. Been up since 4/5 producing for my debut album but after this quick break, back to choppin some samples. Much love for your raw energy and inspiration 🔥
I see you Conductor speaking on the real God body. He definitely gives us that center and sustenance and vibration. Many blessings and fire track, chief!
Amazing work. The story behind this beat is inspirational. It reminds of a time when I was treating the beats I made like paintings by Basquiat and George Condo. I guess, I need to go back conceptual beat making.
Appreciate this breakdown. I usually like to glitch my art up a lot, flip a lot of different parts etc, and sometimes I feel guilty if I just find a dope loop but don't "do enough" - ima think of this video when those moments occur in the future.
I just wanna say as a fellow black artist primarily making instrumentals i appreciate your energy and your words about art in this video. Thank you 🙏🏾 didnt know people like you exists that really like art
Your Honestly refreshing to listen to man for a new producer. Your give insights and thoughts I wouldn’t think about and it’s helping a lot! I hope to one day make some shit you might like 👌🙏
love this simplicity (which is not easy! it's impeccably curated and arranged) and just how the added drums go on top and mix with the sparse percussion in the sample incredibly done once again 🙏
Oh my god 8am in charlotte and stories about my brother are so huge for me and I’ve been a fan since like 2013. Thank you for the amazing work. Incredible work
The fact that the actual producer of a song has to worry about gettin hit with copyright strikes is the most ridiculous shit ever. S/O to you for this breakdown and storytelling. Subbed.
There is such a huge overlap between dadaism and sample based music, it surprises me no one mentions the connection often. I have been making surrealist collages and sample based hip hop for years and it feels like much the same process.
honestly i’ve been a drake fan for bout a decade now and the last few years haven’t really been for me but the “Scary Hours” tracks (ESPECIALLY stories about my brother) felt like the drake i was missing. thank you for being part of that creative process. no diss towards drake or anybody else, we’re all at different points in our life looking for different things and scary hours just lined up for me at this time
Bro you’re becoming my favorite producer not only because of your work but how involved you are with your fans/community. Truly an inspiration man! I’m an aspiring producer and I’m trying to learn as much as I can!
my favourite beat of 2023, also so grateful y'all dropped the instrumental for us rappers to get busy on, you carrying the torch for legendary producers for me - Dilla, Madlib, Premier, Pete Rock, Alc, Diamond D, Easy Mo Bee, Conductor!!!
I feel you when you say it’s about context. You said you seen a frame work of art and that’s dope because I always see colors on a spectrum for every chord. Congrats
thank you bro for being apart of this , your beats with griselda and drake has really helped me through tough times dawg, everyone talks about metro…. but lemme tell bout my brother conductor tho!!!
You and Camouflage Monk still two of my favorite producers. I'm beyond happy you getting your much-deserved shine in the Hip-Pop space. Now it's back to jamming this Conductor Machine!🚀
I’m watching from South Africa. I was so happy for you (especially knowing a bit of your story) when you got the first placement and, when you got the next one with him.
That hit home bro when u said ur art is how u express yourself and it’s exactly how I view my own work with music. It’s personal, it’s reflective, it’s reassurance, it’s love and no matter where I’m at in life it’s something I can’t just turn off. Kudos to u bro for sharing an amazing piece and both Charlotte and Stories about my bro are my go to’s on his recent releases. 💯💯
Buffalo is finna get banged with snow and out of the two beats that we heard so far that you did for Drake, this is the one I wanted to hear the most about. So this is a perfect video to watch while chilling in the build with a beverage. Keep crafting inspirational shit, Conductor 💪🏿
perfect example of doing the bare minimum (no disrespect at all) and taking it to another level. the subtle rhythmic change after the pitch up, with those raw drums underneath. beautiful.
The way you approach your beats, associating it with another art form (painting) is something that has been in my brain for years. Taking inspiration and a style of art and transcribing it through music. I’ve never heard anyone else talk like that. It’s like you went into my head and took my thoughts! I appreciate you doing these videos. Hopefully one day we’ll cook something up on the same album. Peace!
the absolute best song on the whole album, i tried my hardest to come down to my decision but the constant replays i’ve had of this song, you did you’re thing man seriously, you got a new fan!🗣️
I got so much respect for people that make music, I have the dream of one day making music like this not to make money but just for fun! Amazing breakdown, amazing beat, amazing vibe, much success to you, I can see the passion in your eyes thats big time!
I was wondering why I loved you so much. then you started talking about God and it became clear. I believe you are sent by him sir. please please keep blessing us with this fire

Bro all I know is when I heard that “Conductor” my jaw dropped and my headphone volume immediately went up!
@@ConductorWilliams This is cool to know. Me and my Boy Inspectah noticed that too. Congrats for the placement again bro! Really enjoy your content, especially appreciate and connect with your presentation style.
@@ConductorWilliamswhy did the tag on 8am in charlotte sound different?
Lowkey I fw just the “Conductor” tag for those two songs. When it’s Griselda the full tag fits more I don’t even know if that makes sense but it does 😂
the beat actually sounds stupid fire with Conductors tag all over it
You know there’s a huge issue with these copyright claims when a producer can’t even play his own beat man that shit broke my heart
What I was thinking fr
He was well paid for delivering his intellectual property, i'm sure belongs to the Label now.
Well the label owns the rights to the music.
He doesn’t own it anymore
It’s not his beat if he got paid for it lol. He relinquished ownership but i understand you
when i heard the "conductor" in 8am in Charlotte i knew it was going to be one of my favorites songs of the album, and it was indeed.Thank you ConductorWilliams
Much love
So inspiring to see you going from making Griselda and Mach-Hommy beats to one of the biggest artists in the world!
Is my music great?
@LightsCameraPantssss Big W
One of? … THEE BIGGEST!!!!
Taylor Swift is unfortunately bigger
@LightsCameraPantssss I gotta revisit that album soon
It's incredible what a sample based boom bap beat can bring out of an artist like Drake. Great work Conductor 😎👍🏼
Man I appreciate this, thanks for the love!!
Yo Oleg wassup
Is my music great?
Did he write his lyrics this time around ?
OLEG you are a GOATED sample provider for the community bruh
The simplicity of the beat is what makes it so great. It gave drake the space he needed to just flow with it and be the focus of the song. Great work
That’s what boi 1 da said. He was rejected by drake all the time his beats were good already by itself and that’s why boi 1 da has so many songs with drake now cuz he stopped

I couldn’t imagine the feeling of pride you must have knowing you got a classic on your hands.

Conductor & Drake = Magic 🎉🎉🎉
Now, We need y'all to collaborate in 2024 more than before😂
This the decompress before the intermission 🙌🏾

Not religious in any way, but I love the way you explained the gift of creativity at the end. It is a blessing indeed.

Amazing . Such a masterpiece . Conductor we have a problem 🚂!
2 of my fav tracks on the album. Well done, Conductor. 👏

Taking the few seconds in ur explanation of gratitude to give God praise says a lot.
Probably my favorite joint from the bonus pack. You special Conductor. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
This one reminds of an old mafia film...so classic, i play this first everyday.
This is arguably my favorite beat of all time that shit was legendary
love this simplicity (which is not easy! it's impeccably curated and arranged) and just how the added drums go on top and mix with the sparse percussion in the sample
incredibly done once again 🙏
this was my favorite beat and song on the album, thank you for puttin this heat out!
Mine too
I really appreciate his style of teaching how he makes beats cause he’s talking about the mindset he had before making and while making
This beat and record is fire 🔥 . Peace King ✊🏾

7:36 it’s wild how they would copyright flag your creation. Nice work. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Anybody else peep 3:18 when he said “art” as the word popped up on the screen in the background?
Good Juan
Really wish you were more apart of FATD. 8am in Charlotte and Stories about my brother are two of my favorite songs
this man deserves everything he’s getting, no surprise drake would want to work with him

Such a crazy beat man, so glad you’re finally getting your flowers!!
You have the two best tracks on the album for sure. Pure sensational.
“Anything that I can read I can conceptualise and apply” true artistic approach to creating.
There is such a huge overlap between dadaism and sample based music, it surprises me no one mentions the connection often. I have been making surrealist collages and sample based hip hop for years and it feels like much the same process.
that Martin snow episode is classic, keep the Martin samples comin!
It’s amazing to hear this backstory. Your composition caught my attention on his album. 🔥
woke up this morning listening to 'God is Love' I would love to see how you did this one brother. So soulful and menacing simultaneously.

Bro 2024 is your year - truly inspiring. I’ll see you at the top 🫡
I feel like if you had a convo with Andre 3000 and played some pieces, you could get him inspired to do a rap project
I was wondering why I loved you so much. then you started talking about God and it became clear. I believe you are sent by him sir. please please keep blessing us with this fire
I just wanna listen to Conductor talking about music forever.
I lowkey feel like u could rap you got a unique voice and you’re one of the best producers in the game. Keep up the great work man you’re killing it!
