If Rosinante had remained a celestial dragon his whole life, he probably would have been a shitty person until there was some kind of event that made him reconsider things.
Yeah doffy was also older then roci and being more extroverted he would have hung around with the other cd while roci would have stuck with his parents given that image of him clinging to his mom not to mention doffy base personality would lead him to be vulnerable Tobe effected by that mindset ( trebol and co would have also exacerbated that mindset rather then causing him to lose it ) I imagine if homing had left the CDs when doffy was a baby and made sure to hide the fact he was a former CDs doffy would have ended up differently
I've really been loving these latest chapters with the admirals. They are clearly getting tired of listening to these evil world nobles. I cant imagine them taking the nobles shit much longer. the line where he "calls kuma a mindless slave was clearly filled with emotion and it's just getting so interesting cant wait to see what happens next
He might respect the Elders but CDs complaining about not having lobsters when RA attacking their city - Charlos being a dumbass isn't what he signed up for as Fleet Admiral
This was excellent. I couldn’t even wrap my head around the connection u made with the yakuza/samurai theme and all the backgrounds of the admirals' childhoods and how they respectively made the characters we see in the present day. Keep it up!
Personally I’ve always felt it was clear that his idea of “absolute justice” will be born of a sacrifice of a loved one, like every other backstory. I assume that, by compromising on something, someone close to Akainu died, and he vowed to never let any death go in vain. During Ohara he would have said, if one person lives then all of the others who we killed would have been in vain and that’s disgusting to him
Great video! I've always thought that Akainu's character is deeper than what he looks. But for you to present all that about him in such an engaging manner is simply amazing!
Just finished the video, amazing analysis. Wasn’t always a huge fan of Akainu but now I understand him a lot more and am excited to see where Oda takes him
Just found this channel and binged all the videos just to see a new one dropped as soon as i finished the greatest shanks theory, thank you for these banger videos🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You're on fire man. I've never heard anyone theorise about Akainu's possible allegiance change based on his movie counterpart. Keep it up man that was great.
Someone cooked here! Great video! My favorite part was your deep dive into the inspirations behind the admirals. It adds a lot of interesting context to their motivations that aren't explicitly told to us in the story.
hell of an intro and one hell of an analysis. always love hearing your perspective and the questions it spurs along with it. excited for what’s to come when OP still has yet to flesh out all their characters, especially when they got a good amount of people around akainu’s power yet to fully showcase their abilities/morality
You do a great job of talking about outside the story references in the context of themes. A lot of theorists do some random conspiracy theory stuff and say that “X will die because Oda said he likes Disney World.” But you bring up references in the context of how certain character types are likely to play out. And I appreciate that.
Great video, a deep dive on the hottest man in One Piece. I appreciate you actually discussing the filmic influences behind all the admirals. Before the Imu reveal, that long stretch of real world time after Marineford but before Reverie, it was always difficult to square which of the two Big Bads, Akainu and Blackbeard, Luffy would punch first, since they both represent the apex of opposition to him in vastly different ways. This analysis helped me to answer that question, even taking Imu into account, but we reach different conclusions. Instead of MarieJois echoing Marineford, it'll reverse things in a way. Blackbeard will arrive to steal what he wants, but this time he won't be the one to kill the king at the last minute, because the dog will have already bit his face off, leaving the empty throne actually empty. Then Blackbeard mercs Akainu leaving his victory a hollow one, because black holes get it? or because magma rapidly cools after finally erupting get it? Then I guess like, Luffy vs Blackbeard happens shrug. My imagined scenario is obviously not as well thought out as yours, hope it wasn't too annoying to read.
I think nothing would be more interesting than finding out that Akainu's Home Island is none other than Hachinosu. For a man that dreams of Justice, being born on an Island that is the definition of anarchy and chaos. Seeing Piracy be revered as the Way and seeing countless attrocities done to the non-pirate population (mostly slaves, but also traders and other dark deals) Yet the population keep flocking, including his own parents. Corrupted by the desire of wealth and fortune. Akainu being a survivor of Rock's Island during his prime. Would explain why he's the way he is. He probably became somewhat of a vigilante, killing Pirates at Hachinosu. But at the end of the day Rocks always knew, and never did anything about it because he found it amusing. And with a single display of power, shows Akainu that only the Strong can change the world. He even fueled his hatred by letting him live and continue to do his thing. Eventually during a raid by Garp, he manages to catch Garps attention and becomes a Marine officially. But the words Rocks said to him that day and his display of power made him realize, that if he is to change the world to his views, then he needs to have the power to make it happen. Would be interesting. Blackbeard got inspired by Rocks, while Akainu got traumatized by Rocks. But at the end of the day his Will is the one they inherited. Truly painting Rocks as the villain that even dead still affects the world.
Great video! Really well thought out, and delivered. I agreed with everything about Akainu. I also appreciated learning more about the films, the actors that Oda took inspiration from, were famous for. Definitely going to check out more videos.
amazinggggg video. Like you said, no one's gone so in depth on the actual role those actors played, and how it will relate to their role in the story. Your videos are always an EVENT.
Akainu is one of my favorite villains. I feel there are points where he seems like a foil for Dragon too but just imo. I will be surprised if they don't have history. I love the idea that Sakazuki could rebel and get sick of taking orders. Would be super interesting to me.. I love the parts about Marineford and about dragon and dog being opposite signs that's interesting.. the parts about the actors and old films was amazing and you're spot on that a lot of that influence seems to be in OP
What if Akainu is actually the real leader behind Sword? Remember how he's revealed as "an insurgent in the Marines" by Spider Squard when he explains who told him about "Whitebeard's betrayal"? Could've been a subtle nudge of things to come. Then we have the fact that Sword members act without having to be worried about orders from the upper echelon because they're "about to get fired". The fact that Jewelry Boney managed to get away even though Akainu personally came to pick her up, means he likely let her go. And then we go back to the tattoos that Akainu has. No, not the Yakuza one on his left arm, but rather the one on his right that completely stands out: A simple sword.
Maybe if doflamingo gets out, sakazuki will come to his realization while in battle with dofi and literally has to cut the strings of a celestial dragon while coming to terms with deciding to not be a puppet to them anymore
@@RogBearD You realize we had months on end months where Luffy wasn't in any chapters? People have been expecting Doffy to break out for a while now and this wouuld be a pretty exciting thing to happen, Doffy could start taunting him in the fight that he's just the Gorosei's Dog
Love this theory/analysis especially when you compared the admirals to their real life movie inspirations! It's also interesting that Akainu sings a song called Red Dog Red on the ONE PIECE Nippon Judan! 47 Cruise CD and "Battle without Honour" is repeated a lot in it.
Managed to finish it, hard day today but your video was great. Most casual viewers don't have a clue about the inspirations for all the characters in the series. I try to share your videos and videos from other OP creators but the "50 mins" are too long for some people. I call those people not real fans. Anyway, great video once again. I always love the music and style of your videos, and always keep the humour in them. It's always welcome, forget what those other people say :D
Awesome video, I love discussing the potential of the characters Oda has laid dormant for so long, and I think the way you fit Akainu as one of the final 3 villains was amazing and almost 1 to 1 with how I imagine it. I also love your inclusion of Like A Dragon footage around the 37 minute mark.
With how much marine focus we've been getting in the recent chapters, I'd say whatever Oda is cooking up for Akainu is going to start happening very soon and this video has me pumped up for it. Also, great video as always.
i reread marine ford recently and i’m pretty sure akainu foreshadowed his own death. when he was talking to ace he said “whitebeard will die a loser, a fitting death for an admiral of a mountain of garbage” and i think that’s going to mirror his death later on
I'm so glad I clicked this video, easy subscribe. I'm glad you brought up the recent chapter and how Akainu almost seemed like he was talking about himself when he was talking about Kuma, that really got the gears turning in my head when I read that.
kizaru's "unclear" justice can also be translated as "grey area justice". fwiw i think this gives another perspective on things. it's less that he applies his justice in an inconsistent or unclear way, but more that his justice deals in the grey area of what is legal or "just"
Thank you so much for pronouncing Akainu correctly. You're the only youtuber I've encountered who doesn't say "uh-kye-new." It's a very basic thing but shows you actually care about the source material
I think the real turning point for Akainu will be when he finds out that the World Government ARE pirates. They are descended from pirates. What will he do when he realizes that he ultimately works for Pirates?
Really good video, I already knew that the admirals were modeled after famous Japanese actors, but I didn't know how deep it went, how much inspiration Oda pulled from the characters they played. Also I had never thought of it, but Dragon being exmilitary, and maybe a former comrade of Sakazuki's makes a lot of sense.
This felt like a documentary! Great arguments, I can see it unfolding as you theorized. Akainu is such an interesting character. A good villain with his own morale code, an apex that you as much as you would hate him, have to respect due to his immense strength and will power.
Nice bro! Perfect analysis! Sakazuku unlike Luffy put hat his on himself from his dead marine fathers corpse and is the product of a life of rage! A volcano and a pit bull ready to explode and eat his owner the second it shows weakness! Seeing your connection of how yakuza operated like the world government in feudal Japan makes me more convinced that the world government is an alliance of 20 pirates that took down the lunarian gods atop marijoa… like the raid on onigashima…but, like kuro, imu wanted their existence to be unknown abd no one to chase them to end the cycle of coups! Sooo would Robin revealing in front of Morgan’s and Saturn that the world government flag is the original skull and cross bones… they are the original rocks pirates and joyboy was the original roger? If this is the egghead incident and this causes world civil war and marines like sakazuki to go rogue that would kick start the final saga in my mind. Then so really like your setup where even though sakazuki is going rogue he he still has to be taken down by sabo and Luffy together! And if imu is so overpowered that he can’t be taken down by anyone but Blackbeard who knew about imu power and knew it’s counter was the darkness fruit! So Blackbeard taking out the strongest in the world and becoming both pirate and king of the world not be the very best setup for final villain? Pirate king vs pirate king! Black hole vs the sun … This is too good if you ask me. It suddenly ups the stakes so that we get the most chaotic war ever with a final high stakes villain much stronger than we previously imagined! It also sets up the end theme meaning freedom and control, you can’t control the will of the people so the ultimate controller is hidden(like an island) so that no one know they are being controlled by a named person with a face and address! Just like my theory that Oda is a communist and marx and Engel said that capitalism continues slavery but you have no masters the masters are a class of elites that take no blame for their mastery of the world. So Luffy is the answer an anarcho socialist! A liberator who does not hang on to control and instead the throne is actually empty… the king of the anarchists(pirates)
This is spot on. Similar to other anime. I didn't realise it until now. Most anime use the momotaro story and include it into their own story with a twist. Great job man!
Interesting! I had never considered that Akainu could only have accepted the fleet admiral position because he didn't want to serve under Aokiji, who he doesn't like. But it does make sense, as I can't really see any other reason for he to be doing paperwork instead of fighting on a battlefield.
I predict that Akainu will be defeated by Sabo, magma was told to be hotter than fire and once something was told in the story that its impossible, its gonna happen.
My God you clowns are still going on with that theory even after all the build up with this character you guys really go all out of your way to make your bullshit head can you come true if you think Sabo is going to defeat when you clearly don’t even know the limits of a kind or his awakening wake the hell up of your head canon bullshit dude.
I genuinely like him, yeah he's a ruthless basterd but I feel we never get something this serous done well, plus the fact he keeps murking everyone is just cool. I hope he gets something done with his character
Great video man, I wrote a theory a little while back that Dragon and Akainu are "Brothers" because they performed the "Sakazuki" ceremony together like Ace, Sabo, and Luffy and for some unknown reason Akainu felt or was betrayed by Dragon resulting in the immense hatred for him and solidifying his will of absolute justice. Also now with recent chapters and a possible Akainu connection to Kuma, maybe Kuma is the 3rd brother just like Luffy was to Ace and Sabo? Ace and Sabo were the same exact age like Dragon and Akainu are, Luffy and Kuma are also years younger. I know the theory is very tin foily, but I'd like to believe there's something more between Dragon and Akainu rather then Dragon just being a revolutionary and Akainu a Marine.
Interesting theory would be cool if Dragon,Akainu, and Kuma have or had a brotherly bond. Maybe we will see a new type of reaction from Akainu to Kuma when Kuma dies if this is true? It's the same type of theory logic I like same as Akainu and Kizaru being friends or best friends, to see what happens if Kizaru dies this Arc or is put in retirement or quits!
I think Akainu is really gonna snap back on the world government in some way. When I see him, I think of the story of Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. Light/Dark and no grey, but something happens that snaps that line. I don't know what that will be exactly though.
Well...he is a man on a mission as the saying goes and he has been directly compared to a main character role so, imo, oda has big plans for him and I do like this theory very very much!
Man, what an amazing video. I am rarely impressed by One Piece theories, but this throughly swayed Would definitely appreciate more marine content from you

Rosinante and Doflamingo were both born celestial dragons, but reacted completely differently to their titles being stripped. Rosinante was able to accept his way of life had changed, but Doflamingo only learned to hate those who took his old one from him.
@@adonaimelles2317Doffy went insane because he was attacked
seems ur theory on Dragon bein a Marine worked out well!!
Keep it up!
One of the best videos on Akainu and the other admirals. From character influenced to how they are displayed , great writing 🔥
Wasn’t always a huge fan of Akainu but now I understand him a lot more and am excited to see where Oda takes him
So happy to see this in my feed because I know you’ve been struggling with motivation lately. Keep up the good work dude!
Your videos are genuinely so high quality, im excited to watch
Just found this channel and binged all the videos just to see a new one dropped as soon as i finished the greatest shanks theory, thank you for these banger videos🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
W, hope you can catch one of the live streams!
You're on fire man. I've never heard anyone theorise about Akainu's possible allegiance change based on his movie counterpart. Keep it up man that was great.
Hidden back with another BANGER ! A straight up major motion picture, havent even finished it and its already fire
Actually a really well put together theory in a short comment😁😎
Seriously, you put so much hard work into these videos, in my opinion your reviews are so very unique and amazing! We need to get you more viewers
I'm a simple man. I see an hour-long The Hidden Island video, I click.
Awesome video, as always. Discovered your channel by chance (sometimes the algorhythm really does work) and got really blown away.
You're great, man!
Thanks dude!
The best 🎉
I think nothing would be more interesting than finding out that Akainu's Home Island is none other than Hachinosu.
For a man that dreams of Justice, being born on an Island that is the definition of anarchy and chaos.
Seeing Piracy be revered as the Way and seeing countless attrocities done to the non-pirate population (mostly slaves, but also traders and other dark deals)
Yet the population keep flocking, including his own parents.
But if Kuzan is related to Garp and Kizaru Vehapunk who would be Akaninu's main force? Rocks ?
Love your videos! Big love from South Africa's biggest One Piece fan!
Bro this video is 🔥 editing is great too
Thanks bro! 🙏🏻
Wow. Its really rare to find video essays with this much broad topics and depth being explored. Good stuff my guy. Instant subbed
Bro you are literally a genius. I think Oda watches your Theories for inspiration
Its amazing how your videos manage to keep my entertained for 50 straight minutes, how do you do it man
What if Akainu is actually the real leader behind Sword?
Maybe Akainu went why do we care
Maybe if doflamingo gets out, sakazuki will come to his realization while in battle with dofi and literally has to cut the strings of a celestial dragon while coming to terms with deciding to not be a puppet to them anymore
Great theory

You are the only UA-camr whose 50 minute video can get viewed by me three times in 24 hours and still be compelling enough to probably get a fourth.
The wait was worth it! Stay dropping this theoretical heat!
one of the very best one piece videos I have ever watched, incredible work
Love this theory/analysis especially when you compared the admirals to their real life movie inspirations!
I gotta laugh at the idea of somebody reading / watching almost 1100 chapters / episodes and then being like "nah man, 50 minutes is too long" lol

WHAT AN INTRO FOR THE FIRST 3 MINUTES..WOW
Awesome video, I love discussing the potential of the characters Oda has laid dormant for so long, and I think the way you fit Akainu as one of the final 3 villains was amazing and almost 1 to 1 with how I imagine it. I also love your inclusion of Like A Dragon footage around the 37 minute mark.
With how much marine focus we've been getting in the recent chapters, I'd say whatever Oda is cooking up for Akainu is going to start happening very soon and this video has me pumped up for it.
Also, great video as always.
Quality takes time and you clearly deliver in that aspect, another Hidden W
Amazing video as always. Thank you so much for the work you put into this, I always have and will continue to look forward to next!
i'm happy to see this video doing so well! what a great comeback
i reread marine ford recently and i’m pretty sure akainu foreshadowed his own death. when he was talking to ace he said “whitebeard will die a loser, a fitting death for an admiral of a mountain of garbage” and i think that’s going to mirror his death later on
glad to see you made it out of the creative block with some HEAT
14:57 - You missed the change of saying "...his opponents will make it out of that encounter in ONE PIECE".
Damn, the new editing style that you used in this video is absolutely brilliant. Just listening to that intro gave me chills!
What an amazig analysis of such a great character, I can't wait for Akainu's character arc to happen
I'm so glad I clicked this video, easy subscribe. I'm glad you brought up the recent chapter and how Akainu almost seemed like he was talking about himself when he was talking about Kuma, that really got the gears turning in my head when I read that.
The title is true. Nice job. Love the longer style videos and the research.
Very good video man, never woulda came to this conclusion on my own but it makes perfect sense!
kizaru's "unclear" justice can also be translated as "grey area justice". fwiw i think this gives another perspective on things. it's less that he applies his justice in an inconsistent or unclear way, but more that his justice deals in the grey area of what is legal or "just"
Thank you so much for pronouncing Akainu correctly. You're the only youtuber I've encountered who doesn't say "uh-kye-new." It's a very basic thing but shows you actually care about the source material
My theory is that Akainu was orphaned after his family was killed by pirates, which is why he can't see them in any light other than evil.
Combine Zephyr and another character origin
You genuinely understand storytelling and have convinced me, someone who despised one piece. To start the series. Thank you.
I think the real turning point for Akainu will be when he finds out that the World Government ARE pirates. They are descended from pirates. What will he do when he realizes that he ultimately works for Pirates?
😂 sure...
Wtf are you talking about bro😂
absolutely, cant wait to see that bastard face when he finds out the truth
@@jaymethodus3421 21:44
Dawg, your stuff is so elite. I feel like I get to enjoy One Piece in a way deeper way after I watch one of your analysis videos
Most people hate akainu which shows how good he is a villain when people despise the villain your doing it right
This felt like a documentary! Great arguments, I can see it unfolding as you theorized. Akainu is such an interesting character.
A good villain with his own morale code, an apex that you as much as you would hate him, have to respect due to his immense strength and will power.
21:25 nah you’re wrong for that 😭😂😂
I know for a fact akainu is going to have THE SADDEST BACKSTORY in One Piece because Oda loves play with our feelings and expectations
Was thinking that maybe he fights Imu and has an Obito Twist.
The amount of research that went into this Video is Insane. Big Respect.
Your humor with your theories has made this channel my new favorite! Keep up the good work man
I predict that Akainu will be defeated by Sabo, magma was told to be hotter than fire and once something was told in the story that its impossible, its gonna happen.
My God you clowns are still going on with that theory even after all the build up with this character you guys really go all out of your way to make your bullshit head can you come true if you think Sabo is going to defeat when you clearly don’t even know the limits of a kind or his awakening wake the hell up of your head canon bullshit dude.
You’re by far the best One Piece UA-camr for research and theories. I e been binge watching all of your videos and have loved all of it lol
I genuinely like him, yeah he's a ruthless basterd but I feel we never get something this serous done well, plus the fact he keeps murking everyone is just cool. I hope he gets something done with his character
Amazing video. Great analysis. Your jokes inserted into the description of Akainu’s history had me laughing so hard
Ivankov is their Makino or Dadan?
Interesting theory would be cool if Dragon,Akainu, and Kuma have or had a brotherly bond. Maybe we will see a new type of reaction from Akainu to Kuma when Kuma dies if this is true? It's the same type of theory logic I like same as Akainu and Kizaru being friends or best friends, to see what happens if Kizaru dies this Arc or is put in retirement or quits!
@@14KroshTV Ivankov could even be the 3rd person/brother, I wouldn't say Makino or Dandan because shes younger than Dragon and Akainu
Probably the most thorough one piece character analysis and theory on YT. Great Work! Subbed
I think Akainu is really gonna snap back on the world government in some way. When I see him, I think of the story of Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. Light/Dark and no grey, but something happens that snaps that line. I don't know what that will be exactly though.
This is the best analysis I´ve seen this week of any topic, specially One Piece. Wow
Given the implied closeness of Dragon and Sakazuki I've had the idea that Sakazuki was raised by Garp's assistant Bogart
Bro, Bogart doesnt even exist in the manga....😅
@@sojiroseta98he does, he just isn't named Bogard
