Is this an F1 2023 Alternative? Automobilista 2

With the EA Codemaster F1 2023 game due for release soon, I decided to look at one potential alternative on the Market. Automobilista 2 is a PC based simulation game with their own version of Formula One cars. Have you tried them?

I have all the proper drivers names. When you install the 2023 car skins, there is also a file where you can change the drivers names.

I came to write this comment. I would also add for those who don't know it. If you use Crew Chief, which I highly recommend, the engineer will say their names and gives you information about them. So you can ask him "who is leading" and he would answer "Leclerc"

All my favorite F1 tracks are in AMS2. I don't care to change the Tilkedromes for tracks used by Indy and endurance. But I'm not a die hard F1 fan and I also prefer to race older cars from this category (in modern tracks, as a current vintage series) like late 70's ground effect cars and the latest 80's turbocharger monsters. I also used to race some multi category championships, mixing different eras of F1 and F-USA cars, specially with these skin+AI packs that bring some real drivers names. Cheers!

There are already real names available for 100% of default AMS2 skins, and top-notch liverysets with custom AI for much of the content, including the cars mods out there. Just google "AMS2 names" and go from there....

AMS 2 is a great sim, but to be a true F1 sim it needs to feature tracks like Albert Park, Hungary and Las Vegas. A few missing tracks would be acceptable but not 12 missing tracks.

I still think that despite this, it offers a really good selection of other tracks in addition to the half of the calendar it has

You could add custom AI drivers with the right names I guess if you were bothered by that sort of thing.

I didn't realise mate. Someone else said the livery mod comes with the names. I had no idea. My mistake 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
