I know Lloyd's third was incredible, but that first goal was also a thing of beauty. The corner was inch perfect, Lloyd timed her run to the millisecond, and the look on coach Ellis' face tells me it was the plan all along.
It's awesome when you can spend the last half hour of a game that big smiling instead of worrying.
The Sun was a great help to the US in the first half of the game.

I just watched this after the 2022 Men's World Cup, and I'm struck by how precise and clean the women's play is. No diving, no whining for mommy to kiss their fake boo-boo when they're pretending to be fouled, and they actually show respect to their opponents, even when it's not required. This was real competition, not players trying to get away with stuff. Their passing is great, and their shots on goal usually aren't rockets that fly way above the net and into the stands. There were a few, but in the men's game that seems to be the rule, not the exception. Maybe the speed and the power are a little less in the women's game, but if that's the case, it makes their skill and precision that much more important. I like what I see. There don't seem to be any overpaid, over-privileged egomaniacs here, and it's a much purer game because of it. I'll be watching in 2023.

This was easily the most dominate USWNT there ever will be. 5-2 thrashing in the cup final, only allowing 3 goals the entire competition, the world has gotten better in the women’s game since. I don’t think we will ever see a team as dominate as this 2015 team

As some one who played for a team that won every match at least 10-0, I can tell you I never felt incredible doing so.
Nah, it was one sided but it was a bad one sided match. And the women had zero class during the match which made it worse
What a great game, the US dominated this game with a barrage of goals, but I also give plenty of Kudos to Japan for never giving up and getting back 2 goals. Honestly it could have been 5-3.

@@incarau The men's tournament is a lot more competitive then the women since there has been 21 world championships for the men since 1930, and the women's tournament is relatively new with 8 world championship tournaments. But it is all catching up. It is fun to see both the women's game division grow and allow them to have the opportunity just like the men always had.

Um excuse me FIFATV, but why haven’t you uploaded the 2011 women’s world cup final USA vs Japan? Like seriously, that game stands out as one of the most iconic and most dramatic outcomes in women’s world cup history. I wan’t to relive the soul crushing devastation I felt when my favorite team lost. I was happy for Japan though and they deserved it and definitely needed that win more than the US and Homare Sawa’s goal is probably the best of all time. It was a beautiful game😢 So get it together FIFA tv and upload it already!!! It should have been posted ages ago!!!

The United States women's team is the best in the world and deserved to win 4 world titles. While the men had 21 world championships, the women's division with 8 tournaments is catching up fast. Perhaps in time we will see if anyone can dethrone the United States as the top women's team. The men's division once ruled by Kings Brazil now is more widely competitive especially among elite teams in Europe. The World Cup is going to become more brutally competitive over the years as more teams join and more teams desire to be world champion.

The men's tournament started in 1930 Uruguay, that actually now has 22 world cups after Qatar. I was talking about the men and women's tournaments hosted, not the number of titles the USA men's national team won. Women only had 9 world cups in their history compared to the men's tournament which had 22 world championships since Qatar.@@iakadayrneh
