Not only a great rendition of a couple of Christmas songs, but an equally great way to teach young people the Welsh language. I get bumps every time I hear Calon La, and I am a Lancastrian!!
I really did love it even though i am from the United States I have got some English in me I have got English & Irish in me & something else my mom told me.
FABULOUS performance :) by this GREAT group of singers, & those that have helped prepare them, to do SO GOOD!!! :) Does anyone know the names of those exceptional soloists? Are some of them still singing, publicly, at this later stage in their lives?
The audio is wonderful … one of my very favorites … but the video on this keeps breaking apart on the lower half of the screen … is there any other source of this wonderful performance that might not have the video problem?
Danzspdref there’s a great online app ... Say Something in Welsh ... (free until you get to the more complex lessons) ... I have shocked some people on my visits to Wales 🏴 with my basic knowledge of the language ... it centres on the spoken word rather than the written word!
Tim Rhyss Evans is a genius Musician and teacher of young men

Love it sung in Welsh. Male choirs have got an amazing future in the welsh valleys. Keep the tradition lads!
The talent keeps getting better and better. The solo voices are stunning! Wales should be so proud of her sons.
OMG! Beautiful singing. Beautiful language!
Stunning soloists, especially the one doing the higher notes! All of these boys have promise.

Lewys (2nd soloist) is releasing welsh rock under 'lewys'
Me, (1st soloist) am releasing music under John Lindon. Not as good as lewys though
Rhys meilir final soloist also released music as a kid
@@johnrobinson1481 Are you the soloist with long hair in a ponytail at the beginning?
@@chiplobay6126 I am indeed. Or more to say I was, this is from quite a while ago now
@@johnrobinson1481 Nice to see a soloist in the wild! Hope you're still enjoying singing!
Who is the second soloist he looks so young to have such a strong voice
Troubles with image - they looked caught in golden sparkle vests. But their music is wonderful.

Unfortunately not, sorry ...
Thank you … the music is simple divine … much appreciated!@@ChormusikImTV
Such a shame that no one thought it important to reuload a better video quality.
Curious if needing to speak Welsh is required, or do they also have opportunity to learn it (or become more proficient) if necessary?
All schoolchildren in Wales have to learn Welsh as a first or second language. So yes, they do.
These lads are from the Welsh Valleys. Welsh is taught at school and probably spoken at home. A very tricky language to learn as an adult.
Thank you :) I speak 4 languages already, and had considered attempting Welsh or Finnish as a next adventure.

@@utopiandreamer8540 So you don't need to speak welsh fluently to be in the choir. Also this part of the choir are from north wales
