Wow, that landing was setting to be a slammer and then pulled up last-millisecond attack style and absolutely buttered it! Efficient but comfortable way to land on shorter runways lol. It's unfortunate you couldn't enjoy a longer flight in that new cabin as it looks absolutely stunning and is jam-packed with new features that have skyrocketed United's position on my personal list of US airlines to probably number 1. They've really turned themselves around, not just on the hard product, but, I've observed, on the soft side as well. Very positive changes coming from Scott Kirby, and I'm glad United is heading in this new direction! Glad you enjoyed your flight :)
This aircraft was only 1 month old at the moment of this flight. It’s a pity that the flight was so short. Thanks to Simple Aviation for another marvelous trip report 😀👍✈️
Another grwat trip report David. I still remember the days that as long as Southwest was not involved you could chexk your bag in on one airline and it would go all the way thru to your final. I remember working for USAirways Express at MCI we would have bags transferring to Northwest, Delta, TWA pretty much everyone. No days you have to claim your bags your bags at every stop like damn Greyhound.
Enjoyed the video, my question was how was a checked bag was able to travel ahead of the passenger when it should always fly with the passenger or behind the passenger. Sounds like triple A was not followed. As the other aircraft that was carrying his bag would have been a bag up in their bag count
You're right! I hadn't thought about the fact that passenger and bag count are supposed to match up! Would be interesting to find out how that happened!
i wish if you fly with another companies that most of people don't know about them ... like Tassili Airlines & ASL & the new Airlines that will be in service next month in Algeria called Fly Westaf ..its a low cost company .... i wish you all the best
Awesome video david.. I am really enjoyed watching all the videos published in the channel.. So i have a personal question hope you don't mind.. So how do you afford flying these many flights so what do you get in return
I'm puzzled about your bags being sent on an earlier flight as I thought it was airline policy not to have bags travelling separate to passengers. For example, if a checked-in passenger fails to board their flight, their bag will be offloaded for sound security reasons.
This typically is the case but from my experiences of late, airlines have been VERY sloppy with this. I had a TAP flight from Lisbon to London. They messed up and didn't let me board my flight. My luggage ended up at Heathrow while I was still in Lisbon
looks like an amazing product! just flew with the new MAX 8 from Houston to Washington DC a few weeks ago (the day after the blowout with the MAX 9 😅), and the cabin looked amazing! Unfortunately I was so tired from getting off a connecting flight and spending 5 hours on a -800, so I was just begging to get home 😂, so I couldn’t enjoy the awesome plane.
You flew from one of the dumpiest airports in North America (Houston Bush) to a pleasant small airport (SAT), and all here in Texas. Next, I'd love to see y'all fly to some of our state's smaller cities, such as Tyler, Lubbock, College Station, Victoria, Brownsville, etc. Those small airports and aircraft might make for some interesting trip reports. Thank you for sharing.
The fact that you can connect Bluetooth headphones to the IFE. This feature is brand new and United is among the first airlines to have implemented it.
@@ryan-bq9ds are the Chinese B737 comment: “Due to its age…” ?? What is that supposed to mean, a less than 7 year old plane is now prone to crash “due to its age” … maybe you get over yourself? Besides that, I understand people are concerned flying an aircraft where the airframe design is nearly 60 years old, but equipped with ever larger engines that were never meant to be mounted onto this airframe, and they keep doing that which eventually led to this shitty MCAS implementation. Even the previous versions of the 737 (including the -800) have the tendency for nose up due to how the larger engines had to be mounted to make it even work without scratching the ground all the time.
Airbus makes so much more sense than Boeing. I've been on a number of Boeing United flights and I seriously don't understand why they put the outlet UNDER the seat instead of on the seat in-front of you.
The max has a flawed design from the start. no amount of fixes will rectify this problem unless the whole plane is scapped and redesigned. I would rather take the older 737s or A320/21s.

What an amazing flight and video David!😸😸
Nice vlog 👌👌👌
Why bags were sent by a different aircraft ?
It's great that United adds seatback screens even on narrow-bodies. After looking at Air India's new A320 interior, I really wish they did that too.

I don't think that is a rule in the United States.
I’ve never heard of that rule and I’m a Flight Attendant! I constantly hear of bags being sent on earlier or later flights
@@gabrielboisvert7306 I think it is, IIRC it was implemented after the crash of Pan Am 103
If it is international it must follow the passenger.
If it is domestic it can go earlier, later, whenever because TSA screened all the bags.
I love it! Taking a A330-300 Lufthansa (DLH443) KDTW (Detroit) - EDDF (Frankfurt) on April 30th! What are you guys plan for spring break?

I’m taking a similar flight at the beginning of April, DLH446 Frankfurt-Denver on the A340-300.
I'll be on a Qatar A330-300 VNKT - OTHH on April 30th too!
Try longhaul with Air Algérie with there new refurnished a330. It’s actually better than the previous plane

Why united doesn't have a350 and a330? So David and Felix both travellers operate
Cool airlines
I will go to Houston in that airline is so cool

The landing looked like it's gonna be hard but touched down softer.....
Was that a Biman Bangladesh aircraft I saw upon landing?
That’s just amazing
Is the 30 inch legroom bad on the United 737 max 8?
I personally don’t think it’s terrible. Not great, but doable

Great content!
Super! Thank you!
I'm more worried about they fixing the aircraft anti store system properly.
IAH-SAT with no MCAS. 👍🏻
The Plane took off and climb too steep..!
Is it 737 Max special feature.?
737's usually have a higher climbing rate.

WHY WOULD U TRAVEL WITH A BROKEN PLANE?
Dude after the groundings and the scrutiny it went over the 737max is probably one the safest aircraft in the sky right now lol
So 737-8 has screens but 737-9 doesnt wtf united
Yeah united sucks
United got the 737 max 9 long before the max 8, so it makes sense that their cabins aren't as updated.
At least half of their 737max9 now have them thanks to new deliveries
Very early

Why the 737 max has no business class
US Airlines usually put only First and Economy classes on their short haul planes. Business class tends to be long haul only.
