Thank you for your video. I've had a plumber in two years ago and the running issue has not been completely solved. Replacing the seal might do the trick. I don't know if the plumber replaced the seal and flapper, but your illustration allows me to check for myself before having the plumber back. I really appreciate you sharing your expertise.
When you’re done, run a little over the ring to be sure there aren’t any bits of stuff that might be stuck on it. My bowl was even a little dirtier than this and I wound up rinsing crud out of the bottom of the to be sure it didn’t get trapped when the tower lowered on it.
Make sure new gasket is level with top of bottom plastic. I pushed all the way down and water was still running. Took me an hour and many tries to figure it out.
Does anybody know what this style of flush mechanism is called(the plunger). I have this same setup and the plunger can get hard to lift up. Bad enough it has broken the flush handle arm. I am guessing that my seal ring is bad as well? This setup doesn't seem to be as common when looking for parts or info.
My toilet would refill itself every few hours. I put a new gasket in it and reassembled and then it was leaking worse than before. I reached down and rotated the gasket while it was in place and then it was fine.
I must've put it on wrong because it doesn't seal all the way when the valve goes down. If I press on the valve, it will seal and stop losing water. Any ideas? Should I be able to see the red part of the seal when the valve is down/closed?
I had the same problem. I put on a new gasket, reassembled and then it leaked worse than before. I reached down and simply rotated the gasket while it was in place and then it was fine.
I’m having the exact same issue. I replaced mine because it was very hard to flush, physically. It solved that but now it’s constantly filling up the bowl portion with water. So annoying. Didn’t do that before.
My toilet leaks water when I flush it. Would it have anything to do with this seal? Like when it lifts up it releases pressure allowing water to leak under it? Don't know what else it would be because it only leaks when I flush it. Like for a few seconds.
Did you put the round seal in the correct location? It's easy to push the seal beyond the lips It's supposed to go between. When the seal is corretly installed between the lips, the seal can easily be rotated.
Straight to the point perfect.. thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm going to be a hero in 5 MINUTES!!! 😂😂💯💯💯 you're the best!!

Great video homie
The o ring popped off at the base, preventing the tank from filling. But thanks to your video, I was able to repair it. Thank you

I have changed the entire setup but the water still leaks
does this leak out from O ring seal as well?

The flush valve is not A plunger.
It is a mansfield flush tower valve
Does it have to be the exact seal??
My toilets Koehler
N I bought a Mansfield seal
Seems ok so far
Saved me $335 that was what the company I called was going to charge and the seals were $4 on Amazon

It might not be the seal he's talkin about it could be the black rubber seal that connects your tank to the commode bottom.
Thank you for your video I was able to fix my valve seal and get my toilet flushing again.
I’ve replaced the seal and the plunger. I know the plunger is not sealing but apart from replacing the seal and the plunger, I’m at a loss

@@kimstockdale632 I ended up buying more seals and got one to work
I paid $200 to have this done at my house 😢
Thanks man
Just used this video to fix my toilet appreciate it!
Why do these seals keep failing? Is this a manufactured fail to enlist repair?
My thoughts exactly!
Thank you!
