I did this with my son. He's not a shredder, but I did get a "now I know why you love mountain biking so much", which means I think he had fun and kinda gets me. I'll take it.
That’s great! Truly all we can ask for as parents. I think the lesson I learned on this trip that what I expected to take two weeks will likely take two years. But I’m patient, as long as he’s down to ride!
It's awesome loved seeing this video and that you both bounded, you yourself are an amazing rider! It's good to see everyone is different me personally specially with the camera/youtube stuff i would be scared to let my dad down a bit but it seems he is used to that stuff *being on camera*. He did awesome you both did awesome! I can imagine it's hard not to overdo or overthink something like this because of the huge passion it is for yourself and all you want to do is share it with the people that are the closest to you like your kids!
It's hard as a Dad to connect on hobbies and interests with our Sons. It seems the more you push the less interested they are. My Dad always wanted us to play golf together and I was bored...now that he's gone I started playing golf and regret all those missed opportunities . There's definitely a complex dynamic between fathers and Sons. Good luck!
I couldn't agree more. My dad loved fishing and I could never get into it; I felt so guilty about it when he passed. Hoping that I have better luck with my two sons...but as I learned on this trip, it's easier said than done!
thank you for this video. i really appreciate it. i just started mtb in 2022. my son is 8 and i hope to have a similar trip when he gets older. we've gone to dupont in nc but thats it for now. so this video is definitely a bucket list idea for me and him.
@ its more tame than pisgah but still good trails and a nice introduction to brevard! Being from Florida it’s perfect for me and my family. We try to go every year and we always start off with Dupont. Great bike trails and hike trails. Lots of waterfalls too. Ridgeline trail is the funnest flow trail and the climb isnt bad at all!
@@SuperRiderTV Aaron, you are in a good place, honestly. Being in a position to share your experiences, hand that down to the next generation. Next thing you know, tradition is born. Jou got this, Mang!!
No 'trials' just 'trails'! 😄😄. But any biker can pick up good tips from your vlogs👍 PS: Damn, your paduan's first bike is sweet! I prefer the Marin to the e-bike.

Let's hope he gets the bug, Aaron!! That would be so awesome for both of you.
Agreed! I think my biggest realization on this trip was that it is going to take years, not weeks, to get there. I’m committed, though! :)
