I'm so happy you got to review this one too! Your Gust reviews are my favorite 😄 To be honest, I went into this game expecting nothing, because I didn't like the original Sophie. But it's so goooood so far! It's no Ryza 2, but it's an insane improvement over the original Sophie. I agree with you about the crafting. This is the best it's ever been. It takes the Mysterious alchemy system and puts it on crack. And my casual ass is happy auto-alchemy returned from Ryza 2 for the grindy bits, lmao. The soundtrack is great as always. You say you prefer it over Ryza and Ryza 2's OST, but I disagree. The Ryza soundtracks are peak Atelier to me. Everything felt so grande and fits every area, event and battle so well in those games. In Sophie 2 there are some amazing tracks, but also quite some that... are a bit lacking. Some tracks almost sound midi. Is that just me? Idk. Maybe Blue Reflection Second Light and Ryza 1 & 2 spoiled me lol. Also, you sprinkled some comedy in here. She's a comedian I see 👸 The echo on your "aura"s kill me 😂 Anyway, as always, great review!

So glad you liked my inner comedian coming out 😌😂 Fair point about Ryza- we’ve discussed it before and I’m sure a huge group of people agree with you, but I just have such a soft-spot for the regular Gust composers! I love the quirky, folksy and/or exotic style of some tracks~ Ryza had some of that, but it hits a little different for me~ Glad you enjoyed it and I really love making these! Gust just keeps improving with each game 😭💗
Post game? I weak out gear synth and upgrade every major story beat :) Sometimes just improving quality and/or material compostions (elements and link stars)
Haha yep, same… but I mean you can really spend time at the end with access to the best dungeons/materials/farming seeds etc. it’s just easier to get the best traits and gear post-game, but you’re right ;D You can get so many hours out of Atelier games
Greart review of Atelier Sophie 2. I've loved the seires since Ayesha. I'm enjoying Sophie 2 alot so far, though i do personally prefer Ryza's more action combat. But the turned based combat is well done too. I hope we get a 4th entry in the Dusk series next, since i feel the Ayesha/Keithgriff wasn't fully ended in Shallie.
Thanks for watching! Omg I would love a new Dusk game! Sadly it didn’t sell that well in Japan, but it’s my favourite trilogy. Wish we could get Ayesha 2! 😆

Original Sophie couldn't wear a bikini at all, but Nu-Sophie can wear a bikini in sequel.

Ryza and Sophie 2 are suit for newbies while rorona is not (that's my opinion)
