My fave interview from this era is Prince’s kmsp tv interview 1998. It was just great listening to a very different Prince chatting about his music and him supporting other musicians and his charity work💜💜
I was trying to work out what I loved about this so much and it came to me, it's simply the Joy of it. Mr Dean is doing what we all do when that groove hits us! I was worried the Estate might block the Music but thank goodness the Funk was freed. This video is guaranteed to make you smile and throw these jams on. Great job!
This album is amazing. Great ballads, Until U’re in My Arms Again, The One, Wasted Kisses, and incredible funky uptempo tunes, Come On, NewPower Soul, When U Love Somebody. I never understood why so much of Prince’s music went unnoticed by so many.

It’s obvious Come On is about Marva King. Prince “introduced” himself to her at Stevie Wonder’s party and he asked her to tour with NPG all over Europe including London. Marva said Prince fancied her, that Mayte and Prince were struggling. Marva was the one that got away. Manuela got him.
