Synopsis

Here is the story. My intentions with this were to write a story in a very similar premise to "Release that Witch!" created by a chinese dingus. I loved the worldbuilding and its whole aspect of letting a modern dude affect a more primitive world in a very obvious way, but I didn't like the mc so I'm basically rewriting it with my own twist.
However, as you'll see in the first two chapters, the backstory is a little out there. I made it to give my mc basically unhinged advanced knowledge in all areas. After all, in RTW, the mc knows a lot of everything that he would never actually know in real life. I learned just how much I don't know just by researching cement. It's apparently an incredibly simple yet complex material that I knew nothing about.
Anyway, I want to know if I should remove the backstory and just go with a regular modern dude isekai, in which case his wide knowledge would be valid through suspension of disbelief.
