Fantastic survival tool. Big heavy watch, but after wearing mine a while it's weight wasn't so noticeable. I have 2: an earlier one bought in 1996 and another in 2014 before I retired from the RN. Saved my life twice. It's a 'tool' watch which is for professionals. Very good video. Many thanks.
Great review on a really awesome watch. Congrats on this grail purchase Dane. God willing you will never have to use the emergency feature of this watch. Enjoy it and wear it in good health.
Have appreciated hearing I can change batteries myself. Now have to find video to show how. Including the battery for the watch function. Mine is like yours hardly worn with tha same case . Was thinking of selling haven’t figured the price if I do. Thx for this video.
Same year as my Superocean :). Love Brietlings however after they came under new ownership there newer watches don't speak time me. Take the Navitimer Automatic 35, just not a Navitimer haha Great video as always :)
If yours says it monitors both the 121.5mhz and the 406mhz frequencies, its a second generation Emergency. The older ones like mine only broadcast on the 121.5mhz analog channel. It may even say this on the watch face.
@@saleendriver hearing you talking about your next grail sounds like me with blades sir. Its chasing a dragon man your collection is never enough never complete and always something new to look forward to get.
According to the manual, the watch has a battery end of life warning. The digital readout goes into flashing mode. According to the manual replacement should only be done by an authorized Breitling dealer. Normally I'd say screw that.....but we are dealing with two separate modules here, including the emergency transmitter.

So you have both a Gen 1 (analog) and a Gen 2 (analog and digital) Emergency? Nice! One day I will hopefully acquire a Gen 2 version of the Emergency.
Congrats Dane. That is one of the coolest watches ever made. Adding that to your collection is super exciting.
Thank you my friend. What do you think? Should Elshan make an Ani-Digi watch?
Great review on a really awesome watch. Congrats on this grail purchase Dane. God willing you will never have to use the emergency feature of this watch. Enjoy it and wear it in good health.
Hope I never have to use it either. But going forward its nice to have. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Been lusting over the Breitling Emergency since they came out in the mid-90s. One day I’ll get one. Thanks for the great review.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck and good hunting!
NOICE!! I LOVE Breitlings!
Thank you. I love this brand
I did until my wife bought me a Swatch for yomping and a Certina for diving
Very Nice watch .. I had the yellow dail with the very very rare matching yellow utc module back in the day .. Regret selling now..
I've seen pictures of those. Very cool. I'd like to next get the second gen Emergency with the orange dial.
Excellent review of a great tool watch. This is next level horology.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. It really is a great piece.
Awesome watch, very interesting and very unique. Your Breitling choices are superb
Thank you kindly. Research pays off.
hi from u.k love the brietling emergency watch id love to own one great review mate
I am a great fan of this watch and the concept. I hope to buy the 2nd gen Emergency at some point. But if you can get one, do it. You won't regret it.
Great pick up Dane, enjoy that piece 👍🇬🇧
Thank you Mr. Stone. Most kind.
Thats a lovely watch..awesome review 👍👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Cool piece for sure ! Congrats on getting one
Thank you sir.

I'm glad you liked the video. I once saw a video showing someone changing both batteries on this type of Emergency. I'll try to find it.
Found one: ua-cam.com/video/cByb8ehc5XY/v-deo.html
Great review. I love this!
Thank you sir.
Very cool. Congrats
Thank you sir.
Hey I just saw your video and was curious about breitling emergency watch
Are they worth something today if I wanted to sell mine
OK.....ask any question you'd like
Absolutely they are. I suggest you look at Chrono24 for these watches to see what they are selling for. Generation 2 are worth more than Generation 1.
Always wondered how these worked!
Kinda neat, yes? Hope I never have to use it, but I'm glad I have it anyway.
Same year as my Superocean :). Love Brietlings however after they came under new ownership there newer watches don't speak time me. Take the Navitimer Automatic 35, just not a Navitimer haha Great video as always :)
I agree. I like my Navitimer Twin Sixty much better.
Those are very cool watches
I agree. Thank you.
Beautiful watch, good for on finding one!
Thank you. And I'm shipping your watch to you today.
@@saleendriver thank you for the chance.. I'll be posting on Instagram as soon as I get it! 😉
Don't have an Insta, but glad you'll be bragging about it.
Question; I missed what battery size/type is used for watch and emergency side.
thx.
The Emergency side takes two CR2025 batteries. The watch side takes a 399
Is this emergency frequency still being monitored? If so, until when? I'm planning to pick one up myself
As far as I know it is still monitored. For how much longer I don’t know.
Is the watch super light , Because I held a titanium with a rubber strap and it felt like a toy
It is light, but not "toy" light. It actually has really good weight to it. You do know you're wearing something substantial.
Mine is a E76431 is that different than yours? I guess I should look at video again.
E 76321. Big fingers!
Big fingers I understand.

@@saleendriver no mine is 2007 yours I believe is 2008 both 1st gen 121.5 2nd gen is 406 MHz. Satellite followed.
Gotcha
My ocd couldn't handle them screws going different directions.
Not a watch I want to mess around with.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
So does the emergency pull have its own battery ?
Yes.....the emergency module is a separate one from the quartz module for the watch. Separate batteries too.
I asked before I finished watching lol
@@saleendriver hearing you talking about your next grail sounds like me with blades sir. Its chasing a dragon man your collection is never enough never complete and always something new to look forward to get.
No worries
Gotta have goals sir. The next Grail Watch is an Omega Speedmaster From The Moon To Mars. Fantastic looking watch.
Does the older version have the blinking light above the 12
Mine does not appear to have one, so I'll say no they don't. But I'd check official Breitling sources to be sure.
@@saleendriver thx get mine tomorrow maybe ists the digital display its gor when the battery is low so should have it
I think these watches have a way of alerting to a low battery condition, but I have to look it up.......
According to the manual, the watch has a battery end of life warning. The digital readout goes into flashing mode. So all 3 need to be changed ok
The Herman Munster watch.
Took me a minute, but I get it. That's funny.
@@saleendriver A cool watch horologically speaking, but I prefer the looks of the Aerospace.
Uh.......its basically the same watch. I have one. There's a video of it.
Had to play this at 1.5X speed to get normal speed....
OK
How much, if you want to sell......re
Not for sale, but thank you.
Emergency 2,, first military, up to 2012,, after middle 2013; civilian. 2015 legal in the US.. FCC. FAA ETC RULES.... RE
Yes. Looking to add an Emergency 2 to my collection at some point.
