Homing bullets with speed turn less, so extra speed is bad. You want as small a mag as possible and as high a reload speed as you can manage for a homing shotgun. Then you can take advantage of all the reload bonus items.
You already know this as you've mentioned near the end but you do need a very specific build to kill el fuego. And as with everything else, once a strat perform better than expected i.e. overperformed, they tend to nerf it. Last time it was range -> damage bonus (v1.x.10). I expect damage multiplier related things will be nerfed in the near future in particular the eyeball charm. Or maybe they'll go after insta reload because thats the real enabler and it also enables a different thing (insta credit farm).
There are two builds I guess but they are functionally the same. Either plasma ball or shotgun but you focus on getting 1 mag size and abusing on reload mechanics.
I think this shotgun would be good for dealing with the trashmobs and for the boss you take a rapid fireing gun, with tons of bullets and use the augment that makes the bullet swirrl arround you, with the singletarget augment... but to be honest,.. i would even try to set up everything even harder... I would give the shotgun now the drone... then do another run, and add a lot of max exp level ups to it,.. because i think max exp buffs do carry over to the drone weapon. You eventually try to get the same shotgun as the drone, just with more level ups in exp,.. you repeat that with multiple runs,... that way you should level faster and faster, building up damage on the final boss run even faster because you level so fast. I think thats the trick,.. useing the drones weapon to boost your level gain and that way build stronger and stronger weapons that give more and more exp until you reach absurd levels. Its a slow process, but once you get a good drone weapon, you will benefit in every future run from it and can build yourself a damage weapon that is nuklear...
Yeah, I agree the gene system could be cooler. It would be neat if it were more than just basic stat upgrades, and had build-specific stuff, or interesting trade-off mechanics. Or maybe something that could change the way the game plays like certain Brotato characters like Pacifist or Cryptid.
Love the different combos in this game, just so many different options. So I watched a short clip of a build to beat El Fuego and the guys gun with his ability was doing over 10 mill dps using the RYS-30 Plasma Spiral gun. Hope u can find the build to do it bcus it was literally just a 4min vid w/the build and kill and I'd like to see a full play up to the boss with the kill.
NOOOO why did you just let yourself be killed?! You would have been able to beat him eventually, especially when continuing to rack up crit dmg and bullet dmg 😂
crit dmg to base dmg always take CD when offered, base dmg matters but only up until you have ~78% CC (if you know you cannot reach 78% crit chance, crit damage is shit stat) You are honestly best served by just winging it, going about it with feels, effective DPS change would not matter if your gun has great stats, but doesn't play well. sure, it's complex math, but (trust me bro, it came to me in a dream/I'm not typing out an essay/my Warframe nerdshit at making Mr30s weep says i'm right and everyone else is wrong gg no re) multiplier beats base you are by game mechanics forced to take enough base dmg anyhow to ignore prioritizing it only % values for base dmg above +20% would matter in this reference frame (in this game, on this patch, based on the amount of time you spend in runs, based on the overall pool of choices you have) if you have
oh and dmg multpliers down, you can just ignore em. ( in any (currently active) crit build and/or suffer temp loss on any non (active) crit build ) tldr; trust the feels, Luke, not the targeting computer
The math I have seen assumes 100% CC which is easy to assume. At that point bullet damage out scales CD once it's at 300%. After that take BD each time.
Nah, every build should be able to beat the regular end bosses for sure. The secret boss should be reserved for specific highly thought out builds where a run goes well. To expand on that, I would say any augment that is focused on single target should be viable if built correctly. Whereas right now it would seem there is only 1 build.
Having a persistent world to keep doing runs on that change over time sounds pretty great. Nice change to the genre
I've actually beaten this monstrosity, it took 2 1/2 minutes of blasting him in the face because he has such a massive HP pool, its quite insane
The working theory is he exists just as a target dummy for people to break the game and for them to collect data.

The one problem with this is that infinite ammo rack is the same augment as homing so it kinda stinks
Kited him for 8 minutes then made a mistake and got el fuego’d. He was barely down 5%

I will ALWAYS accept a Spaceballs reference
one of the bosses gives a bullet lifetime increase, weapons with long lifetime do better with the homing because they can swarm, but it is laggy.
LOVE THE VIDEOS!!!

you can make a bubble fireball also. you can also helix barrel the bubble and make a supernova.
How do the circle crank res thingies go so quickly for you? Takes me 30 secs for 2 circles...
Depends on whats inside, less rewards go faster it would seem
@gamingwithjeff ahaaaa,thanks!
do you know if the hemo magazine - extra projectiles, works with the drone? like, will it always be over 50percent hp?
Apparently it does have an internal health pool and it's questionable if health Regen effects it so it's not great.
they could add new planets
I went into this video thinking "Ooh I'd like to try this hidden boss" I level the video thinking " Yeah!!!! NO!"...
I should point this out shots fired does not equal bullets propelled out of your weapon
I may only be 22 but i have seen spaceballs a few times
her on fire damage boost gives 12 move speed.
NOOOO why did you just let yourself be killed?! You would have been able to beat him eventually, especially when continuing to rack up crit dmg and bullet dmg 😂
He has an enrage timer, it's possible I had enough cc to keep him from getting to me even through it but it would have taken.....a long time lmao
do this build with the rocket launcher?

you are by game mechanics forced to take enough base dmg anyhow to ignore prioritizing it
only % values for base dmg above +20% would matter in this reference frame

@@rekrn12345 thisis why you people keep losing dps races
Tbh every build should be able to theoretically beat el fuego and thats why nerfing in a game like this is bad
