    I know I’m late but thanks for the video. I haven’t been in a climber in 20 years. I bought a new bow at the end of last season and this is going to help me out a lot .

    Just got one of these, what is the black strap tucked into the back lineman belt for?

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  23 дні тому +1

      Hey thanks for watching! That’s the suspension relief strap. If you fall out of your stand and suspended in the air, you tie that to both loops on your harness so you can stand on the strap and relieve the tension from the harness pulling at you. Best of luck this season 🦌👍🏻

    I’m 6ft 200lbs. What size would be ideal. I will be wearing thicker clothes in late season but only a base layer during bow. I want it to work at both times of the year

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  Рік тому

      Hey Jacob! I'm 5' 9" 195lbs right now and the Medium works for me. I believe the difference between the M and L are the waist sizes. For example: MEDIUM: 28” to 35” waist size and LARGE: 35” to 46” waist size. Best of luck this season.

    thanks I got this to go with my viper watched all your videos on their products I got an extra anchor line that's long because I didnt know about the included short ones - either way now with the included harness from the stand I'll already have gear for two people if I ever want to get a ladder stand

      Hey William, thanks so much for your support of my channel! It’s always good to have a backup and you will really like the Summit Pro Harness. Trying to stick my feet with boots in those other harnesses was always hilarious and now I can snap in super easy with those Quick-lock buckles on the Summit Pro. Best of luck this season 👍🏻

    Looking to purchase this harness but still on the fence about not having a Suspension relief strap. Thoughts? Kinda a newbie here to harnesses

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  2 роки тому

      Hey Josh, thanks for checking out my channel! I would do whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. At the end of the day, it’s most likely you by yourself out there and you have to do what you feel most safe and confident in. I believe you can buy add on suspension relief straps to use with most harnesses. Also, try practicing your harness and safety line setups at ground level to ensure you have everything in place before you’re trying it up in the tree for the first time. Best of luck out there and stay safe! 👍🏻

      Just discovered that my Viper and HSS harness was made in China, what is your thoughts on Summit gear being made in China,do you have any concerns?

    • @christopherd7922
      @christopherd7922 2 роки тому

      Do not buy it if it doesn’t come with tension trauma strap. I thought years ago they came out with a law that required all safety harnesses to have them. This is why I went to a rock climbing harness. This does look like a nice harness, but if it doesn’t come with tension trauma straps for $100 that’s a joke

    • @joshstaples9892

    Would the padding on the shoulders be thick enough to interfere with say a pack or shouldering a rifle? Or make a noticeable difference?

    • @williamrobinson4265
      @williamrobinson4265 3 роки тому +1

      it looks like it could be this model seems to have some of the most shoulder padding I'm worried about that in some applications that would warrant a low profile model. I also like hunting bibs but too many overlapping bits there can hurt especially if we are talking about rifle/shotgun. furthermore can you imagine carrying a stand on top of that? I actually think the padding from the harness will work well with the very simple straps on the viper stand so I'm looking forward to that. I think it was made much more with archery in mind I could see a non rubberized gun stock slipping on the shoulder padding

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Ronald, thanks for checking out my channel! The padding isn’t noticeably thick as you wear it. It’s not any thicker than other harnesses I’ve worn, (just a better material for comfort and flexibility). I typically don’t put my harness on until I get to my tree and have packed in all of my gear. That extra bit of padding might actual help with recoil depending on the caliber of rifle you are using. Best of luck this season 👍🏻
