Could someone in the media please demand an answer from Jake Sullivan and Donald Trump, about their controversial positions on Ukraine? For example; If the USA were invaded and under constant missile attack by a powerful enemy, 1. Would Sullivan refuse to launch missiles at the enemy launch sites in fear of escalation? and 2. Would Trump be willing to hand over Alaska and the state of California as a trade-off for peace????

There are so many similarities with the late 1930’s and early 1940’s which I think most military leaders see and most political leaders don’t, among those similarities is the opportunity to bring an end to a European war without US combat units just their unrestricted material support, before a major military power in the Asia Pacific is ready to start its own war which the US will be compelled to fight, or see that major military power prevail.

That's because military officers are taught warfare and study previous examples to hone their skills. Politicians study nothing of use and most certainly not geopolitical history and the failure to act, which provides examples for military men to study.

When ready it instead went straight to Ukraine. We figured it would be of better use in Ukraine than here. We have time to buy other weapons, Ukraine needs it all yesterday.

The war won't be won by storm shadow missiles or F-16s, as both are limited in number and impact. Ukrainian airfields are also vulnerable. Artillery shells in huge numbers are more important, as is numbers of troops.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security.
