Very informative video. Thank you! I like the German seat and yes it's the same theory for road cyclists. You want a firm minimalist seat for long bike rides not a fat cushy seat.

You’re right, wish it is an open space. Probably can get away without the shower, just the cassette toilet for basic needs.

Love the new front seats and the sink cover/cutting board.
You may want to check what James from " The Fit Rv" channel did to the kitchen of his Winnebago Ekko. He swapped the location of the cooktop and the sink. The cooktop is a portable one and added a expandable/hidden counter top plus a drawer for the cooktop. Much more usable counter before the actual cooking.
What about 3 Lithionic batteries?
It will be cheaper and you will have 945 AH vs 630 AmpHr

Aaron Silidker not until the current batteries die. That’ll probably be 2023.. they’re running great again once they were charged back up (plus a few other things need to happen before I have more $$$$ for this 😁)
Think it's important to note that on the 2021 models they have an upgraded Lithium electrical system stock, and apparently the RoamRig guys are working on a new kit. Should be nice I'm sure.
John, how much did that upgrade cost? Yes the Revel off the lot is a great value, but when you start making the changes you've made to yours what would you estimate the new cost to be? I'm putting 400ah of lithium in my 2019 sprinter and its going to cost approx $10k and that's without all the nice monitoring panels, etc.
Hi John…. Thanks again for the great video. Aaron’s Roamrig lithium battery pack system setup is really sweet! I don’t however you mentioned that the batteries are 48volts and that’s why the wiring gauges can be narrower also that this particular setup is designed for Revels 2020 and older.
I don’t like the anchor points of the rear passenger seatbelts on all Revel models and unlike the Storyteller’s GrooveLounge seats it is not pull tested and besides Winnebago is using very thin plywood to frame out the seat bottoms….. not a good place to be in an accident!

Currently I have a 2023 Winnebago Revel, originally it came with 320A Li3 battery, can I purchase another same battery to connect it in parallel, and become 640A? Will it mess up the whole system or will cause any damage? Please let me know.

Yes, the system uses solar panels to charge. On the system we have the solar is the only charging method. Some other bigger system have solar and alternator charging
I imagine the wiring Winnebago uses is substantially less on the 2021 model now that there are lithium batteries inside. Correct?
The lithium is still in the back of the van so there will have to be wires running to the front. IMO you're better off with a 2020 Revel with an upgraded system then a 2021. You end up less expensive, better batter system, lighter, and bigger garage area

Hey John. I have been looking at the Revel but not real impressed with the "off the line" quality of build -vs- price. So, I am looking at buying a Sprinter and converting it myself. I would entertain working with you on a build and def on using your products. Have you guys considered doing conversion builds or partnering with somebody that does? Nice work on this rig BTW. Very Cool.

Many people add storage systems to the back garage. There are also storage shelves for the shower that I don’t use

The only thing I dont like about lithium is the fact that they have to be stored inside the cabin where the space is already limited (to protect from the extreme cold) while with AGM they are stored outside under the car.

How the hell do you sleep 2 in that bed? 46" wide? when the doors are closed it is a narrow cave.
With the flares, it is not that bad. The only issue is the person near the back has to climb over if they want to use the bathroom.

Yes, that works but some people want AC overnight. It’s not good for the Sprinter motors to idle all night.

Those were a prototype we made. We are going to have side-step/nerf bars soon.

Wait so why did he remove the inverter? It was a pure sine wave inverter to give you AC power. Nothing wrong with it.
You would have to reach out to Aaron for specifics but my guess is he replaces it with a higher quality unit.
Hi Cameron! The inverter is swapped from a 2000w unit to a 3000w pure sine unit that can run the AC without a soft start and handle the induction cooktop at the same time. It also has a built in 100a shore charger which is much more powerful than the stock shore charger converter.

The Winnebago Revel is way overpriced for the low quality of workmanship, parts and performance.
Many are completely upgrading the entire crappy electrical systems, replace the “ugly” low quality coach seat with one from Europe that has head rest 3 pt seat belts, add insulation and larger water tank and Froli system under bed mattress.
Absolutely. I don't understand why people are buying Revels and then doing all this upgrading to it. Just buy a sprinter and get it converted to what you want right in the beginning. In the end, it will save you money and you will get what you want right at the start.

This looks great. You should get a job working for Winnebago and teach them how to make ultimate revels. I'd like to see an off road version of the longer sprinter so you can get a little more room inside for a bigger bed and maybe a little bit bigger bathroom for fatties like me

Latest Revel van price $185,000. My estimate for a new lithium battery install is about $20,000. You’re at about $200,000 for basically a small van without a proper shower and toilet.
This van is for a small segment of people that want to Boondock and have continuous power miles from any major highway. God bless you guys with all the money you pour to these vans.
I have no idea what the resale of these vans will be in eight years. But somebody is going to get a great deal even if they have to install a new engine. That will be cheap compared to everything spent on this van.
I’m looking at a Thor Tellaro KT It has a rear bathroom with a wet shower It’s one of the largest shower areas you could have a small van. If I purchase one it’ll probably be in Texas where they are about $15,000 less than they are in California. In Texas they are selling them for 79,000. Here in California they’re about 95,000.
You're 100% right that these are not inexpensive vans. That said the supply chain on MB Sprinters is VERY tight because of COVID and the new vans not passing emissions. This van was about 60% of what they are going for now. Therefore this van could very likely be sold for a profit even used. Additionally, our first van a 2010 Sprinter, was used for 10 years and sold for $5k less than we purchased it for. That is purely anecdotal evidence and says nothing about that the market will be in 5-10 years but thus far, vans have held their value. I believe it is a changing of the RV industry and their expense is due to their quality.

I’m all about solar power and batteries. The battery power swap you did I’m sure will run all your equipment for days. It will let your air-conditioning run all night if there is enough battery.

Yes one needs a shower in van. Shower is more important than a cooking surface. U can eat cold veggies /fruits. But not go without a shower. Many places do not have a shower. And all showers in vans should be recirculating water.
