USS North Carolina Battleship World War II Tour Wilmington, North Carolina + Wake and Bake Donuts
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- On the Fourth of July we toured Battleship North Carolina. During World War II, NORTH CAROLINA participated in every major naval offensive in the Pacific area of operations and earned 15 battle stars. We took a self-guided tour features nine levels of living spaces, mess decks, gun turrets, powder storage, sick bay, and more. This is such one of the best things to do in WIlmington, North Carolina. After, we stop and try out the "Best Donuts in North Carolina" at Wake and Bake donuts then watch the 4th of July fireworks across from the U.S.S North Carolina!

I was in elementary school when we donated whatever we could to bring our ship home.
I'm 71 now and still love seeing her.
Your video was great, but you really need to see her in person, to see how beautiful she really is.
Thanks for doing the video ❤❤❤
My dad was on the North Carolina from her commission in April 1941.
Dad would have turned 100 this year.
Thank you for sharing 🇺🇸⚓
Awesome!! I saw this ship in 88.. as a US Navy vet myself...I was honored!!
Outstanding! I visited the USS North Carolina in October 2005 due to my military interchange in USMC Camp Lejeune... I'm going to suscribe right now... grettings from Chile 🇨🇱
Thanks for visiting my hometown. Great place and people. A lot different now than when I grew up here in the 80's/90's but still lovely.
Great job 👏🏻 thanks for taking us along! 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
I'll watch this during my night shift. Thanks for mixing it up. Love your Orlando parks vlogs, but enjoy seeing this type of vlog, and some "real America" travel vlogs.👍
Thanks so much Aaron!
Very cool looking ship. Thanks for the tour.
You bet!
Wow Krystal you do it all. Thanks for the vlog. That’s when men were men and woman were tuff as nails. Can’t wait to see what you bring us next.👍👍
Right! Thank you so much
That was awesome to hear an see thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loving how many different videos you post! This was an interesting and fun tour!
Yay, thank you!
USS NORTH CAROLINA FROM THE ATLANTIC FLEET ERA
My grandpa worked on that exact same battle ship and I js visited that battle ship last year and I love it!
Awesome vlog Krystal! Thanks for the history lesson.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! Glad you enjoyed the ship.
Awesome!!!
It was pretty cool to tour!
This was cool thanks !
Thank you Lori!
Just came across this. If you have a amateur radio license, you can sign up to operate radios from the ship's comm central (Radio 1) from the Official website or from the local Ham radio club's website, the Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club. Doesn't cost anymore than you regular ship's ticket. It's pretty inspiring to operate a radio on board and there are a lot of Hams out there who are very excited to make a contact with someone on the battleship!
Have you been to Wilmington, NC??
Never been but after seeing this video makes me want to go 🚢🐊
Thank you for sharing this great video on the USS North Carolina Battleship which happens to be my favorite ship. I enjoyed how you captured every important details beginning to end... I felt I was by your side.🤩 Thank You & friend Joey keep the videos coming. 💯👍💖💖💖
Glad you enjoyed it!
My dad was on the North Carolina from her commission in April 1941. I have his battle diary, and grew up with stories about all the engagements they took part in. Dad passed in 1997 and would have turned 100 this year. Yeah, the North Carolina is my favorite ship too 🥰🇺🇸⚓
You’re an awesome 😎 UA-cam channel.
This was a very nice video of the battleship tour and more. You did a great job !!
Thank you very much!
Ayee that’s where I live ‼️
Great place!
During the heat of one of those battles in the Pacific, the North Carolina was throwing such a heavy blanket of firepower that another ship radioed in to see if they were on fire. Starting with the North Carolina and South Dakota Classes on up, all of America's battleships had that kind of anti-aircraft umbrella that Japanese aircraft had extreme difficulty with. Not a single American battleship was lost after Pearl Harbor, owing to the upgraded anti-aircraft armaments of the day.
Nice video. Hope you guys got to see the upper decks, the bridge (where they steer the ship,) officer country and sick bay (hospital). Also, best donuts are Brits Doughnuts in Carolina Beach at the boardwalk.
You gave a nice tour. I live 40 miles away. I've been aboard her. July 1 I'm spending the night on a haunted tour..
Nice vlog for the 4th!
Thanks!!
Thank You for that!
You bet!
Nice. I'm planning to visit and record as well.
The crazy part is that 2 of the 4 Iowa class battleships can still be pulled out of retirement if needed the other 2 are sadly to far gone to even be considered to used and they’ve already moved all the live rounds from the other 2 ships to the 2 that could be used if needed
This was so cool! I love history! In Columbus Ga they have a civil war naval museum!
That sounds awesome too!
My late great pa was a Vietnam war veteran
Wow!

Enjoyed the ship tour. Not really sure about these people who rank donut shops, have a feeling they can be bribed🤣
I totally agree😂 Thanks for watching!

Vivo a 5 minutos de ese barco ❤
I know this is really late but I think that huge gator behind the battleship is Charlie
How much is it to have your picture made on ship?
My father was the first of the commissioning crew to be married to my mother after the North Carolina was committed this is documented in the ships Tar Heel newspaper
And did you know we have real ghost on the USS NORTH CAROLINA
and now we have a submarine named after North Carolina
Yo vivo acá 😂❤❤
That’s not a bicycle for 40 cents. It’s a deck of playing cards. The brand name is Bicycle.
