A more educated population would mean most people here would be able to see through Mr. Howard's misunderstanding of basic math (or he is redefining terms, and for some reason is refusing to let us in on this). He claims 1x1=2 as if you are duplicating the object by multiplying it's one instance, twice. But 1 and 1 in this case are not two objects. 1 is the object, being first in the equation, and the next 1 is the symbolic concept, a number. So if we see 1x1 as 1 apple being multiplied by the number 1, I would still just have one apple. This is because we are multiplying, and you need to have a concept of 2, at the very least in order to have a multiple.

Their discoveries and theories were built on existing knowledge and experiment.
