Such an amazingly talented light in the world where there is so much darkness and ignorance to dispel. This gives it a good heads up. *No Shape changed everything. Mike has helped so many human beings to heal and love and be strong. I adore this.

I was really fortunate to be in the crowd for PG's set at the Block Party. I won't lie, at the end, when he played "Queen," I was in tears! Usually it is "Wreath" that really moves me, so I was surprised. Those lyrics take me back to things I have lived through, even though it is probably different from what Mike about. Plus if the end of that song doesn't bring yodeling back in style, nothing will! Gone is the desolation and cynicism of "Too Bright" and "No Shape" is roses and carrots and cabbages and strawberries and fields of lavender: a garden for the ears!

Just saw these guys open for Belle and Sebastian, after years of hearing about but not really "hearing" them. I don't like to compare bands, but holy shit. I'm a convert. Spent the night wishing it were just Mike Hadreas up there (no offense, Stuart).
