- Let's go shopping for VINTAGE HOME DECOR in the center of Chioggia, that is a city near Venice.
If you like thrifting and going to flea markets, come along with us!
We will visit the antiques market with my parents, we're going to have fun together and we will purchase a lot of vintage items!
We will look for old Murano glass items, golden mirrors, vintage cups and vases, vintage doilies, old costume jewelry pieces, vintage dishes and jugs, jewelry boxes, vintage tin trays, antique ceramic pieces, and many other vintage collectibles.
In the last part of the video my mom and I will share with you our vintage haul!

My mother loved to crochet. Even when she aged and lost her eyesight that was something she could still do. I can tell her work from the store bought ones that were so popular a few years ago in craft stores. She always did white and ecru. I bet you could easily dye the white ones to get the perfect color that you are searching for. 🤔
Crochet must be very calm and relaxing, I guess I should try one day! White and ecru are always beautiful and classic 🤩 and I collect other colours because I use them for special displays or to take pictures of some items... And you're right, when I need a specific color, I could dye it! 😃 Thank you! 😘

They are hummingbirds. I get them in my garden in Canada!
Hello Suvi, I think they are hummingbirds just because they are close to a flower, but kingfishers have very similar colours so you're a good observer! 😉

I remember when I was a kid living in Montana, doilies were very popular, but today in Alaska I cannot find any doilies anywhere. I don’t remember the last time I seen a doilie in a shop.
I am going to keep an eye for doilies now.

BTW, I think the thing you called a candle holder is a Chanukia, a traditional item which is a part of a daily candle lighting ritual during the Jewish holiday of Chanukah.

How to spot if it is Murano glass?
It's not easy to recognize them, I know there are many reproductions made in china etc... But I live close to Murano Island and I've seen the kind of artwork they make, it's easier to find true Murano pieces here! I can remember when I was at the primary School I went on a trip to Murano and got a Glass horse figurine there, it was made there by The artisan. I'm sure that there were no cinese fake Glass items at that time. So the vintage market is probably full of true murano glasses here! 😉
