I just realized that Kage is not high damage enough for the low health and buttons he has....vtrigger damage really sucks man

Nah it doesn’t he’s just a diamond player so he likes to activate mid combo. Try activating VT and THEN executing your combo. The scaling will be much less effected. Scaling ruins both akuma and kages damage output. Often times less hits equals more damage.

Crush counter causes the next hit to go down to 80% instead of 90%, VT activation causes it to drop by an additional 20%

This is why you activate before doing your combo, not during your combo.
