This is not about Ozzy. This is Ozzy paying a tribute to Randy Rhoads. And I love Ozzy for it.
He talks about Randy in a documentary, ozzy never got over his death, he saw the plane crash.
I remember them saying that Ozzy was asleep on the bus when it happened. It woke him up when the wing of the plane hit the bus and he thought the bus crashed on the highway while he was sleeping. Stories change through the years I guess.

Heard this song a thousand times, but never knew that this song had a video.
dude same

Sure, 1987 Lp Tribute to Randy, live 1981 version
Same. UA-cam suddenly recommended it to me now wtf
I used to watch this vid on a show called metal mania...sadly I don't think they have it anymore

I saw Randy Rhoads last concert in May 1982 in Knoxville, Tn..... I was 13 years Old... It was freaking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David Dixon That sounds so awesome! You're so lucky and blessed that you had the honor to have seen Randy Rhoads, RIP. I was with my late brothers and dad. They were die hard fans of Randy, and told me not to fall for him, (of course I did).
David Dixon That sounds so awesome! You're so lucky and blessed that you had the honor to have seen Randy Rhoads, RIP.
David Dixon Actually, you got the date wrong. According to Wikipedia, Randy did play his last show at Knoxville, Tennessee, but his last concert was on March 18, 1982, the day before his death.
T.J. Worthington I'm pretty sure it was a typo
David Dixon so cool !!!
HELL YA! GOOD TIMES FROM OLD TIMES IM 60 AND STILL ROCKING AND I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY
us all crying because Randy Rhoads died, Randy Rhoads rocking in heaven....
Jesus listens to metal. Lucifer listens to smooth jazz
@happyhooliedaze who hurt u? Jazz and blues are fucking awesome so is metal
he was barely an adult when he died
He'll be sent to scream hello to you soon.
Ozzy's voice in this live performance is incredible! It sounds really powerful. An amazing song and a true classic.
That's bc it was overdubbed in the studio. I used to have a cassette of the show this came from "King biscuit flower hour"
It sounds NOTHING like this.
Dammit, now I need to break out all my randy bootlegs.
@@TheTperge It was actually from a Cleveland Ohio recording
Yes, overdubbed. Kiss started that back with "Kiss Alive" Many bands started doing it. Its how live albums are made now.
💯💯💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
It’s so good
Love how Randy Rhoads is celebrated in the video.
As he should be. Without him, Ozzy would have been forgotten as "that singer" from Black Sabbath who got fired.
Randy was to the electric guitar what Bruce Lee was to martial arts!!!...
@@shaneburst5661 hell yess! There can't be any better.
@@shaneburst5661 great comparison!

He hasn't gone anywhere. That ruse os for the unenlightened. Those who know... laugh at a funeral.
Thanks for your image! :)
All these idiots here with their stupid comments, yet, there is one sensible person.
I was just thinking the exact same thing. I didn't think they would reach these types of videos but they're literally in every corner of UA-cam
¿Con Randy Rhoads grabaron Crazy Train?
In the 80's, live albums were better than studio albums....because the artists were phenomenal.
This is the ONLY OZZY ALBUM WITHOUT ANY ADDED STUDIO EFFECTS ON RANDYS GUITAR...

My dad passed away, on Christmas, we just found out yesterday and I'm crushed. He was a huge Ozzy fan; even had "Ozzy" tattooed across his knuckles. I'm here in his honour. It's a good song! Haha...

This is the song that made me want to learn how to play guitar 42 years ago.
Today at 55 I still can’t play it.
Same for me with stones' carol on Ya Ya's album. And it's whole lot easier than Rhoads' solo here!!!
lol

🤣🤣🤣🤘🤘
Thats just pathetic.
Randy left us way too early but he left behind one of the most iconic heavy metal riffs of all time.

Randy Rhoads is hands down the greatest guitarist ever. Everything he did with Quit Riot and the 2 albums with Ozzy is inspirational. He did all of it by the age of 25. It's sad to think of all the other great songs we could have gotten from him if he hadn't died so young
Yes🤟
Imagine what would have been!
That's what happens to some that sell their soul.
Rest In Peace Randall William Rhoads

I remember watching this video when I was 12 on MTV when it first came out from the Tribute album. Watching Randy's guitar flying over the railroad tracks was so cool back then....that was considered really cutting edge high tech graphics. This is true...hearing Randy live inspired me to want to play guitar.
Same. Was 11 or so - song blew my mind.
Bro that shit is still cutting edge.

Randy Rhoads..still an inspiration 34 years after his untimely death
36 now! Rock on!
Agreed. I have one of his original RR business cards and a bronze RR ring that his niece Jenna made for me. Love Randy as a musician, but more importantly, as a good person.
Me too. Randy is by far the best guitar player
@@lynnwilliams2468 And if he'd only lived long enough to get to his full potential. It was unlimited, and he was just starting to get there. I still love the original QR Randy Rhoads version of "Slick Black Cadillac." Even though he was using a completely different amp during those recordings (and solid state Peavey head and Ampeg cabs) his sound is still full and distorted but clean.
Been playing guitar for 13 years now... Leaned this song 5 years ago! Playing this song had me blisters on my fingers again!!!

Randy Rhoads will never be forgotten. When we lost him, his impact wasn't hyperbole. His music still lives on to this day.
Brings a tear and sadness when seeing these clips of Randy and how much he was respected. Everyone in my highschool wanted to meet him, to be him , to play guitar like him. So sad to see him die so young.... but as Billy Joel sang, only the GOOD die young!
Queen made a Freddie Tribute song called No one but you(Only the good die young) and it is so true!
Everyone in my freaking high school is an asshole who wants to meet post Malone and stupid shit like that.

Just in case someone needs a drum transcription of this song please check it out on my channel
So is Ozzy !🥺🫶🏽💕
You could see the love as brothers Ozzy and Randy Rhodes had for each other. Such a legendary song and album.
So Randy Rhodes took a plane to do flyover over Ozzy's Tour Bus in the middle of the night. As a joke to scare the band. Well that was was a Crazy Train idea. Ozzy writes in his autobiography, Ozzy writes, he was 50 feet from a bomb going of as the plane hit a house next to the tour bus. Randy Rhodes lost his life. He did put Ozzy back on top , that was just crazy rock and roll at it's fullest. Read Ozzy's autobiography for an an amazing crazy train ride. Tom Weapons Education
The tour bus driver stole his friend plane. He was working toward pilot license. He was drunk high and tripping.
I saw them for Mob Rules tour right before Randy died. Best. Concert. Ever.

Crazy train great song after these years. Keep rocking Ozzy. Ps I hope everything goes well Ozzy with you on your operation. I heard God bless wish you good luck take care Ozzy.
You’re so sweet! I bet Ozzy would be pleased with this comment and your sweetness!
After listening to this version of Crazy Train a few years later, I realize that this is way better than the studio version.
Sure there's no ALL ABOARD!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHA! But the drums, bass and especially guitar are fucking gold! It sounds so amazing!
i prefer the live versions too, just sounds so much better
I like the guitar tone better but they couldn't have cut parts of the main riff out.
My favorite version of Crazy Train is the Montreal one.
TheNuisanceBird I like the Montreal live version one too. Almost sounds like a violin with an amp, truely amazing
For me it’s the improvising, little bits in between phrases sends tingles down my back.
I only like the studio remastered version simply because Randy’s epic intro riff is longer
The best thing about this UA-cam video is we get to see history, one of the possibly best guitarists of all time doing what he did best.... RIP Randy.
On a list of 'Greatest Heavy Metal Songs of All Time'....this one tops the list.
Dear Randy, we miss you 4ever
The most true thing to myself in what I say is that randy rhoads was the greatest guitarist in history hands down and he died so early and he left his mark as a legend in so little time
Randy Rhoades is an Awesome and Legendary guitar player of all time forever

SO TRUE
The amounts of times I wished I wasn't born in the 2000s but the 70s so I could go to old rock concerts and not the kidz bop lookin shit we have now ❤️
Same, I'm 2000s kid too and honestly modern music is really just crap. Wish we could go back to 60s-80s where people actually put effort into music instead of making it like it's manufactured in a factory.
I wish I was born in more like 1965. It was 1976 and I'll was too young for any of it still when the beginning of the 80s started 😆
Well now you don’t gotta wait for the music to come out atleast
1980 - 1985....when metal ruled the airwaves.🔊🎶🔊 There was "other music" out there, but metal kicked ass!😈🤘😎
I appreciate both old and new music :)
