I remember them saying that Ozzy was asleep on the bus when it happened. It woke him up when the wing of the plane hit the bus and he thought the bus crashed on the highway while he was sleeping. Stories change through the years I guess.

That's bc it was overdubbed in the studio. I used to have a cassette of the show this came from "King biscuit flower hour"

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
    Maybe it's not too late
    To learn how to love
    And forget how to hate
    Mental wounds not healing
    Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
    I've listened to preachers
    I've listened to fools
    I've watched all the dropouts
    Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role
    Mental wounds still screaming
    Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
    Yeah
    Mental wounds not healing
    Who and what's to blame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

Thanks Ozzy and the rest of your buddies that helped create this masterpiece! I also wish people would learn how to love and forget how to hate. My favorite lyric to this song 💓

Agreed! Every song I grew up listening too is so commercialized these days. That and the fact that the internet made it all so accessible.
Back then we'd get so excited to hear our song coming on MTV or the radio.
We were truly the last generation to grow up during the best of times for music in general. 😔
