  • In this video you’ll learn how to reinforce your gym floor to carry more weight.
Reinforcing your gym floor is sometimes necessary when bleachers or heavy surface mounted gym equipment is installed.
Most gym floors are not easily reinforced once they are installed. In order to increase the load capacity of an existing hardwood gym floor, it must be partially reconstructed. This is a time consuming and costly process requiring several days to complete. Cushioned vinyl and other rubbery gym surfaces cannot be reinforced at all.
Sport Court® gym flooring is the only gym floor that can quickly and easily be reinforced to carry heavier loads. Even without added reinforcement, Sport Court® flooring is capable of supporting passenger cars and light duty trucks.
The flooring in this video is Sport Court® High Gloss Response. It’s known as the “Safest Gym Floor in the World”™. Response flooring is statically proven to reduce injuries by roughly 50% compared to similar play on hardwood gym flooring. (Injury data provided by Nike Tournament of Champions.)
