Electric Issues in Triumph Speed 400 | Owners Experience

- Hi Everyone, There are many Rumors the Triumph Speed 400 have many electric issues, but in my experience i haven't faced not all those issues. i only faced 2 and those has also been rectified.
Also, the 2nd ECU update was bad which created some issues in the bike.
Rest the bike felt really great during January ECU update

Hey, brought speed 400 in January 22nd. Never faced stalling issue and the other 2 issues you faced earlier but after i got ecu update i noticed the stalling issue sometimes in traffic, gone to service center they reinstalled the update and issue was gone. Drl lights fluctuation issue was faced by me when i got my bike washed... Called the service center for that and they didn't know what was causing the issue so they offered free replacement of headlights if that occurred again. Later at diy session i got to know that washing it incorrectly ( pressure washing in headlight area) can cause this issue. So now whenever i go to a washing station i just tell them not to pressure wash it in front body and till now this has never happened to me again. Another issue i got was bike not reaching it's top speed that was also resolved after ecu reset and update. Fuel gauge false indication is the only issue i am facing right now, service center told me that they have got an update regarding that, haven't updated my bike yet. Hope this helps
@@divyanshu._.khanna Thank you Divyanshu, from past few weeks there s no Light Fluctuation i have also noticed, and i havnt washed the bike from long time. I only did normal cleaning. The fuel gauge is just a suggestion tbh.
Yes this is what most of the owners were complaining about. But i never faced such issue
@@roadrunner2757 sometimes my fuel gauge says 3 bars when it's only run about 100kms and sometimes it shows reserve light at just 120kms in. I usually fill after 180-200

My fuel average always showing 0 zero. Even Twice ECU updated still not resolved.
Please raise this to Triumph, they should fix it

It might be a battery issue or wiring which might be faulty or loose, one of the issues I faced and got the battery replaced along with wiring work done

I have been using a plastic bag to cover my odometer since the stalling issue happen . Till now i am very careful since the water can go inside and wd40 wont help everytime. But i hope they will fixx this in next ecu update

Is there any error in your Odometer?
Because yesterday after fueling up me and my friend covered same distance together but mine was showing 78 & my friend's Duke 390 was showing 91 ! Though KTM has accurate speedo & odo !
Have you heard about odometer error from any triumph owner ?
Yes few have shared, like when i ride 200kms it is in KM's app or google 192kms. It means 4%

@@TumBhosdiwale i dont think PPF is a better option on Motorcycle. Good quality lamination for 8-9 months will be a better option. Will cost you max 1200rs for tank and side panels
i HAVE PURCHASED SPEED 400 IN AUGUST 2024, and one prominent issue I am facing is horn is not working at initial time, only after riding 10-15 kms it starts working. Is it normal?
@@rajshahensha no it is not normal, get it replaced. One of my friend faced the same issue
Headlight and Speedometer fogging issues 😢

I think there is some flaw in the design of headlight area. That water goes inside the units

It's been around a year since I bought my speed 400 . Stalling issue is very problematic and occurs every time I let go of the race or clutch.
@@vishalshokeen7264 stalling issue can be resolved with ECU update. Check with Service Center
In my bike , Mileage Showing zero always even after reseting it..Did you faced it?
No not this issue. Although i dont Rely on bikes Mileage indicator

Speed 400(cons:road tyre) and CB350RS(cons: only 20bhp) me confused hu. Bro aap batao konsi prefer Krni chahiye aur kya reality me rough roads me tyre bekar hai speed 400 ke aur vibration hai kya under 100kmph???
Hello, in offroads soft compound tyres always strugles.
It is not bike it is tyre which limits you with the rough terrains. Next CB350rs vs Speed 400 for highway crusing. See its about your riding and prefrence. Both are different kind of motorcycles so you have to choose between Power vs Peace of mind.

Hello brother, you may find a bit difficult in speed 400 tires as they can slip a little bit in little bit rain (or if a little bit water gets in the tyres) overall in heavy rains i didn't found that issue. Bikes tyres are also good in cornering.
Vibrations can be a different definition for everyone. There are very minimal vibes in 90kmph of speed mostly unnoticeable but if you ride it in 120-140kmph speed you may notice vibrations and mirrors gets very vibey ( peeche ka dikhaai nhi deta hai utne speed me) and after 140 constant my body was numb

You can reach the limiter 167kmph very quickly. But i also agree 120 can be done all day long without any issue

Maine Just purchase kiya hai Speed 400 on date 15 August 2024 aur ye months ke models me koi ECU updates mile hai kya and any problems in this lotsss pls explain
@@Akashpacific Triumph have learned a lot in terms of ECU update over a year since launch of the bike. My Last ECU was in April. Dont worry the Service Center guys listens to customers issues. If you find any issue they will resolve it.

I dont think they can fix it. It is intentional as per govt. Norms. Speedo error will remain. But ideally they should correct the Odo error which is also around 4%
Yes update has come last week for cluster errors and mileage showing wrong

Hi, yes i am hearing some noise from the bike while riding slow. Not sure if it is Tappet or something else for now.
It is tappet/rocker issue. Needs to be adjusted

Bhai 48-49 degree chal raha hai temperature. Mileage test ke chakkar mein insan pighal jayega
if you drive like 100-150 cc bike 30-32 , if you drive like 400cc bike 20-24
