I am 75 years old and “Godfather” is my absolute favorite movie, I watch it on DVD every 3 or 4 years again. I read the book before I saw the movie. Francis Ford Coppola found the perfect cast.
My parents are buried in a Catholic Cemetery on Long Island. I always smile seeing they're buried next to Lenny Montana "Luca Brasi" in this movie. I know my parents are safe. Abe Vigota is also buried 1 mile away in a neighboring cemetery.
Godfather is a master piece . The movie plot and scene are taken perfectly that it was played very casual and natural. The actors played their role perfectly that you'll mesmerized by their acting prowess.
Scenes and Songs are beautiful, my Italian family had this aura , especially in Italy, the marriage and the tarrentella are vivid memories of many Italian weddings I attended, Family is only second to GOD
I think it’s interesting that Pacino played two opposite characters in The Godfather … archetypical mobster and super cop in Serpico I really enjoyed both.
I’m 72, watch both GF and GF2 at least once a year, and in part multiple times throughout the year; rarely watch GF3 but occasionally do watch 3 for closure

I noticed other stars are always sacrificing their money for al pacino, like wtf, i know he's a great actor but taking money of your check for him especially when he's so successful yea I don't think so as this has happened a few times I know of the other with Keanu Reeves where he sacrificed a lot of his income to afford al pacino in The Devil's Advocate now come on with that crap that's the producer or whomever decided to hire him not another's star pocket money, like seriously if you can't afford him don't hire him hello the mooching bastad.
Am 73 & when ever the movie is on TV , I watch it , like it was the first time.

Now, I am pushing my child to watch it.

I've seen the first two Godfather films and enjoyed them very much. Al Pacino was in a movie called The Panic in Needle Park which I have also seen.
Diane Keaton is a brilliant actor
Pacino any day of the week... Those eyes....

Castellano was one of the highest paid actors in godfather 1
PLEASE STOP WITH THE AI VOICE.
why did they have to use this AI (irritating)voice!! This voice was all over the internet!! Anyway, thank you Golden Rewind for posting .
How 'bout DuVall in "MASH," and Caan in "Brian's Song"?
How about Baby Boom for Diane Keaton? Adorable movie and she's excellent in her role.

Is Richard Castellano related to gangster Big Paul Castellano?

Barzini collaborated with but did not head the Tartaglia crime family in the Godfather.

The only time sonny makes a comeback in GF2 is at the very end when Michael is reminiscing he plays no part in the movie
