What gen 2 needs: touch controls, longer battery life, better bass, and an option for clear lenses.
des8893 bass isn't needed. slimmer design and better battery would be better though.
And recharge in the case
Clear lenses would be awesome. Listening to music in class

Thank you Cherlynn, you're one of the only I've seen to say wait for gen 2. I feel this is true for most products, but especially Bose, they're really good at listening to feedback and improving on their 1st outing.

I received the Bose Tempo Glasses for my 70th birthday in early 2022 & couldn't be happier! Its great that i can chat on the phone as i walk at the beach or in a supermarket (with the glasses raised on my head)..although ppl think I am talking to myself..i don't really care..lol..the music side of it is simply amazing as my range of music on my android phone can range from 1950s to todays music..it all sounds amazing..no real difference from playing music in my car! So impressed am I that I purchased a second pair...JUST IN CASE! 😉

I think you can get polarised ones and control the volume on them now.
I like the concept, the only thing that would put me off buying it there would be the battery life. My Bose earbuds and noise cancelling headphones have eight hours and 12 hour battery life. I don’t see why they can’t implement that into the Bose frames. I would like to see the navigation a r system though. Perhaps that might be good for blind people like me in the future.
is there any information in the second generation model, like if they are working on them now and how long until they come out? I am very interested in buying those compared to this 1st generation Bose Frames.

I dont know.10 years on and i still get annoyed when my phone screen rotates when i didnt mean it to.
Accidental nods and shakes would probably drive me up the wall. And wireless headphone batteries are still not good enough.
Very interesting tech and a cool take on AR though.
Better push volume buttons of your phone than use the screen slider. Its more convenient and you can do it directly from your pocket

Yuri Grigsby on a scale of 1-10 how loud is the music for you? And can you hear the surroundings well?
TLDR; 8/10 for volume. You can hear surroundings very well. 4/10 for bass. 8/10 for music quality.
In very loud situations it has to be at 65+ or you wont hear much, but around 80% people around you can hear your music. In quiet/semi quiet areas, these are a godsend. You can hear your music suprisingly clearly and bass actually exists. At the same time, I can hear people around me with ease, it really depends on what I want to focus on..

If you install the update, you can change volume from the Frames themselves.

You can. You go to the eye doctor and switch them out for regular glasses or transitions.

You can add prescription lenses to them. I have prescription transition lenses on mine
same, I change the lens too. And I used progressive lenses

At $200 this is not a bad choice if you have vision insurance. In my case for example, with VSP, I can get up to $200 credit for frames every other year which would make these glasses free. I wish the quality was better though. I hope they’ll come out with new styles this year as this is the year I get the credit.

@@MaximusTheChosenOne Any frame up to $200 is covered. It does not dictate what frames you get as long as they pay your optometrist up to $200. Our insurance also covers basic lenses with transition. Any other upgrades to the lenses are not.

Need a clear lens Version, I can see they wouldn’t want to make them though because dumb office type folks would become distracted, but I think they should make them.
I think you can replace the lenses with prescription lenses.

Kind of drives me crazy when I hear people complain about the base on these and then compare them to another headset with decent base Jay to them complain about the vibration of the competitor. You can't have good base without vibration. They kind of go hand and hand.

You can buy Bose lenses that are polarised and UV rated for around $50 AUD

I just received the Alto glasses. Im impressed with the technology but I'm going to return because they are too unreliable and will not stay connected to my device much like the BOSE QC earbuds
