Wauconda Illinois is a quite, recreation community in the northwest suburbs of Chicago that offers great schools, great recreation, and wonderful eateries, where the spirit of entrepreneurism thrives due to being such a close knit community where everyone is involved. It's one of the most unique towns in Illinois which offers great community whether you're a new family or retired.

The beach scene in the Blues Brothers movie was filmed here at Phil’s Beach. Also a couple of scenes of cop cars crashing were filmed on Rt 12 right by where McDonalds is now.

It's interesting to know that there are very few businesses that I walk in to without being met with a unique level of service....they address me by my name (or some flavor of, ha...:))
My neighborhood is friendly with a few places conveniently to lift weights or bike safely.
The community, as a whole, provides a significant feeling of safety. Being centralized near high-quality medical care is also a plus.
In the past 40 years, I have seen a significant improvement to the community and the resources/services provided across all age groups!
