Great set of vids! We had a full house game last night... and we pulled it off. It was tough, but the group that assembled were hardened veterans of other 'horror' games where you manage resources in a puzzle like fashion to complete a scenario. It wasn't easy and there were certainly moments when we could have been more cautious and more bold. Ironically, I was the Doctor and others getting 'Madness' cards almost caused me to die (I went to 1 life at one point). I was the first to grab a clue... and then we knocked out the other two. Now we want the next scenario and even to play the first one again. Lots of options because I got the whole shebang during the Kickstarter campaign. Still can't believe how well the monster miniatures turned out!
Thanks for the playthrough Colin. You made me realise that you can’t play this game with the same mindset as playing MOM and AHLCG where you try your best prevent losing sanity. I am doing much better in my latest play-through after watching the way you played.
Yeah, I had to play this mission 6 times before finally winning! This is Mike, by the way. I should probably state who it is before each video now that Colin isn’t always the poster.
Just here finishing this up as I said I would. Seriously, these videos are the best!!! Keep up the awesome work, I appreciate it, but my wallet hates it 🤣🤣
Will you be posting a "final thoughts"? I'm hoping to see some reviews before the re-print KS launches later this month. So far, I'm interested, but not 100% sold.
Fantastic. The fact that the DM reprint is launching at the same time as Street Masters reprint is not good for DM (IMO). Street Masters is almost a guaranteed 'All-In' for me, which is something I rarely (if ever) will say.
At 18:45 the Twisted has range 1 because his is in a devoured room, but is it legal for him to attack from the flooded area into the non-flooded section. I thought he does not have line of sight in that case. Thanks for the series, very helpful and entertaining.
I notice the big guy in the top left corner has moved since the start, don't the rules state that if a monster can't reach an investigator, it doesn't move at all? It's kind of oddly worded. It performs the 'move action' but remains in place. Wondering if I've miss read that part of it?
Bro how did you win. I learned how to play so quick, but this game feels impossible to win for me. I've played several times, 2 times with easier setups and still lost horribly.
I'm so excited to show this off to my friends. One of which loves Mansions of Madness so I'm sure he'll love it. But I want us to be able to win the first chapter so we don't get discouraged from playing again.@@OneStopCoopShop
If u leave a space with a delirium monster while its on devoured ground it will deal one direct wound to the leaving characters...and you did this in the last few round alot :P
I would not say that. I’m not a fan of zombicide, but I really enjoy this game. There are tons of tactics and tension in this game that I never feel in Zombicide.
You helped me understand the rules to the game. Had this on he shelf for a while now collecting dust thank you .
Awesome, glad it was helpful.
Almost an anticlimax after such a long first chapter! Fantastic play-through... really appreciated.
Wasn’t anticlimactic to me, since this is still the only game I’ve won of this mission!
Quite the dramatic escape. The board was FILLED with monsters.
That tends to happen. It can make solo a bit intimidating to manage, but still generally works.

Sounds amazing! Thanks for watching

One Stop Co-op Shop ah sorry Mike. I thought the voice sounded different lol. I am on my 6th playthrough now so fingers crossed for that.
Thanks for sharing, can't wait to get my copy of the game in.
Hope you win some ;)
Great play through series! Congrats on the win! Can't wait to get my copy. I backed the recent KS.

I’m doing a 5 in Five for it within the next week or so, after I finish the street masters review.
Fantastic. The fact that the DM reprint is launching at the same time as Street Masters reprint is not good for DM (IMO). Street Masters is almost a guaranteed 'All-In' for me, which is something I rarely (if ever) will say.
I actually watched all three parts, wow. I guess it was pretty entertaining, good job! =)
Thanks! It was certainly the most involved playthrough I’ve done so far :)

You are correct!

No. They move toward closest investigator, even if they can’t reach them. Otherwise they would bunch up and make the game super frustrating.
Bro how did you win. I learned how to play so quick, but this game feels impossible to win for me. I've played several times, 2 times with easier setups and still lost horribly.
The video is years old so I don’t remember, but yeah this game is ridiculously hard

Darn it! Good call. I think this part of the video was recorded around 2:30 am, so I was just a bit of a zombie! :)
still quite entertaining ;) i lost all my 3 games till now but maybe i get soon as lucky as you :)
Good luck! I’m 2 for 10 plays at this point, but still really enjoying it :). Glutton for punishment I guess!
What are the small brown minis all over the board?
Monster spawn points
Important to note that those are Kickstarter bonuses. In the regular game you just use the other side of the little devour tokens.
do Twisted pull an investigator from 1 away?
oh it's Delirium. they look similar
Correct. Twisted inflict madness (or madness cards if they roll well).
It plays like zombicide
I would not say that. I’m not a fan of zombicide, but I really enjoy this game. There are tons of tactics and tension in this game that I never feel in Zombicide.
Not remotely.
