Correction* - At the time of posting "tape!" actually has 141 backers for a total of $68,146 of their $50,000 goal. Not sure why it said 0 backers at time of filming. Seems like it might be saying 0 backers for the parent company and not the product itself.
Settlers and consumers. That is your whole culture. You can't make fun of them when you can't wipe your butt using local foliage because the outside is literally still a foreign space. Some of your families have been here for 300 years.
We have to remember there are people out there who just want “the cool thing” and really have a cloudy decision mechanism maybe? Then they get fed the cool trendy video / ad. Maybe there’s a fern? Maybe a wood desk? And sale!
I just got a tascam dp-06. It's just a digital 4 track recorder and I've been playing beats live into it with koala and a launchpad, this would be great for me. I attached the whole rig to my motorcycle and i'm making jams on the road, its sick. Dawless is a struggle, its not easy, but when you get a good take it feels really good, and In my opinion boom bap type beats sound way better when you get off the grid and turn the metronome off. I'm on Oahu btw hit me up.
a four track asynchronous looper\effect box is cool, but the form factor and interface kind of sucks. like this would be good as a pedal with footswitches, or a desk unit with easier to access buttons and knobs, but sticking with the casette tape gimmick seems like it would make things way more difficult. the screen seems really shitty for live use too, it needs a backlight
it would be cool if it was like... 150 bucks but it literally does what a Norns can do, and you can do lots of stuff with a norns and, i think you can get a norns for under there 500 dollar price
Interesting but it doesn't really do anything for me soundwise. I don't think there is anything wrong with as you say audio community they just got the bucks to waste on lots of toys and other stuff. And handheld gadgets if you did market research is a proven money maker if marketed right, people used to buy walkmen but they also did buy pet rocks, kid lol
Dude you have the worst negative vibes. Have been recommended a lot of your videos by youtube, but I give up watching because all you seem to do is mock others for daring to do anything or try anything. You are like some troll sitting alone in the shadows calling all the happy people losers because they do not want sit in the shadows alone like you. You should try this thing they invented called having "fun with something new", its all the rage these days
He wasn't even hating on it. He's trying to work out what it does, how it might be useful, and if it's worth the price. Having a different opinion to you is not trolling or hating.
@@Wombleizer And I was talking about his general attitude thru several videos, not just this one. Also I said not thing about trolling, I called him a troll in the old fashioned sense of sitting under a bridge gatekeeping who gets to cross. Still I am sure he appreciates you sticking up for him. He really seems like the type of person that likes white knighting.

Great for depressed desktop module enthusiast millenials who need everything they own to smile at them

😂😂
it's a 4 track cassette recorder emulator and it's actually quite cool, especially given its size (just not at that price)
I was expecting to roll my eyes when they announced it was $250, holy shit dude how could anyone prepre themselves for $450
$500 after early bird closed
Lmao
Yeah considering you can find a OP1 for $700 these days
Tape was not the answer to anything but vinyl.
Rocked by CDs.
Papered by MP3s
Scissored by streaming music.
We have to remember there are people out there who just want “the cool thing” and really have a cloudy decision mechanism maybe? Then they get fed the cool trendy video / ad. Maybe there’s a fern? Maybe a wood desk? And sale!
That was a fun stream. Congrats on the 60k on the main channel. Keep calling out these bs products.
a device like this has been desired for a while. its like a digital tascam 424 plus effects. or like a teenage engineering tp7
desired by billionaires
But the OG OP1 is heading towards $600-700.....
I like it, it seems like the retun of Music Concrete. For poeple who want to get their hands dirty.
What does this do that RC 20 doesn't?
Perhaps re-watch the video

So don’t tell the truth. Got it.
The wave alchemy cassette plugin is the truth literally £30 come on now.
Seems like it’s made for the modular synth space as opposed to daws.
It looks like he has to charge it too
Lions don’t worry about what cockroaches do.
Would rather do it in the DAW.
for a little more you can get the incredible Neve 542 module
it would be cool if it was like... 150 bucks

The developer of Tape! is the same guy who wrote Reels for Norns.
@deastman2 makes sense
No.
I personally prefer Γ(Tape)
Daphne Oram would approve...
I don’t see the point of this gear ??
Damn weaver is becoming kinda weird😂he didnt understand even what it does , actually its pretty neat especially for field recordings etc
I’ll stick to emulations with algorithms
Hehe

$500? Nope!
Just get rc20 lol 😂
So "lofi" (i.e. shitty sounds) is still a thing ? 😁
