I remember during my first playthrough of Okamiden I was so ecstatically shocked to fight Dark Chibi. I was like "BEST THING EVER SUCH TWIST SO EVIL YES." I then played through New Game+ as Dark Chibi. The Dark Chibi vs Dark Chibi at the end of that run was...delicious.
After playing this game myself, I used the n of Magnetism and it repelled the hands away from me. So Chugga was trying to crush himself unintentionally.
Alternate scene: Chibi: *runs toward the mirror to destroy it when the eyes of his reflection glow red* Huh? *the mirror shatters, releasing a dark clone of Chibi* Chibi: What the!? ???: Hey. Akuro: Meet Dark Chibi, he'll be your escort out of this life. Dark Chibi: *hits Akuro* Speak for yourself! After the fight: Chibi: Phew! Huh?! *gets kicked in the face* Dark Chibi: That's for stealing my style! Chibi: I'm the original!
Ya know,I kinda just felt a feeling of authenticity that Akuro's True Form has The Hands Of Yami, like I said,Yami had a right hand but was in the wrong, quite the trope of evil as he believes everything he does is right! However,Yami lends his dark energy for the fight to give Akuro, the desire to use Yami's hands for evil,SEE THE CONNECTION,hehe
Erm... I think this was the only way he could come close, as Chibi is supposed to be a god, or at least the kid of one, and I dunno about you, but I don't think that's easy, or even possible, for something like that to happen. If it is, it's more trouble than it's worth.
well of course amateratsu is probably taking a nap while a giant evil demon possesses a innocent little kid and tried to kill her pup :P by the way did I mention this demon is also the cause of all evil in nepon? yup I'm positive everyone agrees this is the best time to take a nap :D so nap away ammy ^-^
@@323starlight A fanfiction-ish idea I've had for a while is Akuro finally achieving his goal of becoming Yami again, taking on both Ammy and Chibi, actually succeeding in killing Amaterasu, and bringing Chibiterasu near death after witnessing the death of his mother before being saved by... haven't decided yet. Years later, an older Chibiterasu would come back much stronger to avenge his mother's death.
Honestly, I think they really outdid themselves for this final battle. Kudos! I really loved the concept of having a Yami Chibi as part of the final boss.
I believe there are many aspects of a game that make it worth playing and or watching. Commentary from a great LPer, which Chuggaa is, definitely makes the game worth watching, but so are the scenes that take place. All the talking and "important" scenes are building up the story into something that I, Chuggaa, and possibly a lot of others really love. That is what makes this game worth it and not unacceptable. The beautiful story that unfolds and Chuggaa who is leading us along on the journey.
I have to admit, that was one extremely impressive boss fight. Probably the best I've seen. Just epic, and looks very difficult but very fun. Love how he uses brush strokes against yours and vise versa. Spectacular fight.
I love the placement of the recommeded videos for me at the end... it had Episode 65, with Akuro's Eye floating in blackness, overhanging Episode 66, with Kurow standing on a platform similar to that on the final battlefield. Lovely symbolism there.
Here's what I don't get: How does Chibi, Amaterasu's child, beat the perfect form of the spirit who controlled Yami when she herself almost died and needed the help from a bunch of prayers? Somehow her pup beat a more powerful villain while only getting hurt when he wanted to at the start. This is the flaw: They act as if Chibi is weaker than Amaterasu through the whole adventure, but he somehow does something tougher than beating Yami, which Ammy couldn't pull off without a power boost.
HEY, I loved watching him play this game as did a lot of others. Okami is one of the coolest games I've ever seen ad watching Chuggs played this game is just as awesome.
Even though Dark Chibi is evil, he's one of my favorite characters in this game. On my first playthrough, I knew it was gonna be some sort of copy fight of either a clone or your evil side. And it was the latter. Ridiculously easy but hey, great songs were played during it all.
He did talk during the first part of the Akuro battle. Letting us know what we should avoid and some tips on what to do. As well as Akuro's ultimate attack being able to heal him if he gets it off.
If you have played Okamiden like I have, you make your brush techniques small and quick, which I gained a habit of just from Akuro's battles as they took forever without it.
Akuro reminds me of the Shadow Queen... evil purple colouring, attacks that can heal himself, and of course, deadly demonic hands. Not to mention he possesses one of the protagonist's close friends! The similarities are pretty striking.
Those who want to know.... when Akuro or Dark Chibi as some call him in this form is drawing the sun, the character on there is the character for Dark.
One more episode and this will be over. I doubt there'll be much commentary in tha (except maybe for the credits part), but I do want to hear Chugga's thoughts on the very obvious Sequel Hook that is the ending.
hey chuggaa, yeah I think you might have forgotten to finish the trial demon gates in Okami?? I would really appreciate it if you find the time to finish it :D I just really really like Okami and since I saw your LP on Okami i've been hooked till now.
Can't have an Okami(den) Finale without being able to draw a circle :) And to those who are mad about chuggaa not talking during the fight... he knew there was no way he could make it more awesome than it already was. This is an EPIC fight, with or without commentary!
I'm kinda glad he didn't talk through the entire boss fight. I feel like it needed to be quiet in order for everyone to completely enjoy the epic music and battle. Don't get me wrong, his commentary is amazing, but I'm glad he kept quiet at that moment.
The 2 parts I like when Chugga tries to spam his Whirlwind but he didn't realize he does not have enough ink. And the end when he failed to Sunrise repeatly.
Thank you for putting all my thoughts on the matter down for me. I find that Chugga likes the audience to be enriched with the story rather than be informed with the obvious.
And here we see the Okami version of the Dark Link fight, with a bit of Shadow Queen Peach thrown in at the start. Remember kids, looking into mirrors during (final) boss fights spells trouble for the protagonist. I don't see why Akuro didn't think to knock Chibi out and possess him instead of Kuni; is he not pure enough as the child of "the ruler of all that is good and mother to us all"? I am more than a bit confused, even if this final boss is really cool.
I must say, I don't watch your videos often due to not always having the time to do so, but I do admire the amount of work you put into your videos. I love the editing work and am currently trying to increase the amount of actual editing that I perform on my own videos. It's unlikely that you'll respond, but I sincerely hope you at lease are able to see this. I have 1 comment though. I was hoping that you were going to commentate over the 2nd battle, but it was very good nonetheless! Keep it up!
I personally love how the game makers made a dark version of Chibi as the finale boss fight and since he can use a celestial brush it just makes it that much better.
haha well most of the time its dark chibi intercepting chugga's brush art. You see the little red dash while chugga was trying to draw a circle? That's how the akuro is stopping you from finishing your brush. Chugga can do the same to akuro (for example when akuro is drawing the infinity symbol, chugga drew a dash to nullify akuro's brush attack). :)
I remember it took me forever to figure out how to stop Akuro's laser attack. Eventually, I figured out all I had to do was wail away with the Feathersword, because that did the most amount of damage in the least amount of time. Dark Chibi is indeed very awesome. The two final boss themes (Akuro Suppression and Eclipse) are almost as amazing as the two from Okami (Yami and The Rising Sun).
I can understand be quiet in the custscenes. I can understand being quiet for epic music (hint hint!). But no strategies, no puns, no references, etc. Then again... it is the final episode (excluding bouns episodes).
didnt he do a pokemon emerald playthrough before his Super paper mario LP though? Still it would be awesome watching Chuggaa play pokemon black or white 2 lol I'd love to see him run into another shiny!
It's just like what he did in his Okami LP. It would have been nice to have a little more commentary, but honestly, I'm glad he didn't talk during the boss fight...the music was amazing.
That was a great final boss for this game. I still like the face off against Yami more because of the way all of your brush powers are used and how you have to fight to get them back, as well as the fact that I think Yami's design is awesome. But this fight has a ton of emotional weight, and while not all that intimidating, Dark Chibi was a really cool fight and kinda difficult, being a worthy final boss. And the music is awesome.
14:47 - The fate of the world hinges on Chugga being able to draw a circle.
+TerribleFate423 ....That's it. World's doomed. GG.
Yup pretty much. I mean, there's a slight chance we'll get lucky and Chugga somehow pulls it off but otherwise yeah we're screwed.
The greatest test for any Okami player: Can you draw a circle?!
Circle drawing fail count: 5.
@PragmaticAntithesis a bit late, but the dark chibi countered it.
I remember during my first playthrough of Okamiden I was so ecstatically shocked to fight Dark Chibi. I was like "BEST THING EVER SUCH TWIST SO EVIL YES."
I then played through New Game+ as Dark Chibi. The Dark Chibi vs Dark Chibi at the end of that run was...delicious.
delicious?!
well i did the same and with the same weapon as dark chibi
but then i lost the game right as chugga began his lp
Video game rule number 27: never look into an evil looking mirror or you will spawn a dark clone of yourself
Hence
Dark Chibiterasu
Dark Pit
Dark Link (yeah I still count it cause OoT)
Page Clayton In a way the entire chapter 4 of Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door
Page Clayton
Dark Meta Knight didn't count. Nobody looked in the Dimension Mirror to make him show up.
Or darkk link in tp
Anyone else almost love the fact that Chugga doesn't talk during final bosses like this?
I hate it
Have you fought this boss? It requires great concentration, so it makes sense.
Bennett Walsh Yes, I love it
After playing this game myself, I used the n of Magnetism and it repelled the hands away from me. So Chugga was trying to crush himself unintentionally.
Alexa Snyder "Damn i was too late again" No you were fast enough.. Just used the wrong symbol.. lmao
And here we find the rare and elusive quiet Chugga in its natural habitat. Sorry if that's weird it's 1:45 for me
Dark chibi uses sunrise. Chibi: lemme fix that! Chibi uses sunrise. Chibi: I FIXED THE SKY :D
Dark Chibi uses SunSET.
*Sees Dark Chibi.
*Face yourself starts playing in my mind.
How fitting that for the penultimate battle you and your final partner face against a dark version of you and your first partner.
I'm sorry, but Dark Chibi is really cute. I like the coloring.
Except when there's no light. That is terrifying, especially when he tilts his head.
For extras, you can play as dark chibi .
YAS! I LOVE DARK CHIBI!!!!
Am I the only one who found these final battles way more interesting than Okami's?
Don't anyone realizes that the hands of akuro are basically double the hands of yami's
i do
Definitely.
I always like The idea of having the final boss be a dark clone of yourself, feels like the most even matched battle.
issun started this by making you choose a partner and you chose kuni starting your adventure and meeting all these people, thanks issun
15:00 Its Okami all over again xDD
Alternate scene:
Chibi: *runs toward the mirror to destroy it when the eyes of his reflection glow red* Huh?
*the mirror shatters, releasing a dark clone of Chibi*
Chibi: What the!?
???: Hey.
Akuro: Meet Dark Chibi, he'll be your escort out of this life.
Dark Chibi: *hits Akuro* Speak for yourself!
After the fight:
Chibi: Phew! Huh?! *gets kicked in the face*
Dark Chibi: That's for stealing my style!
Chibi: I'm the original!
14:47-15:05 "Drawing circles is easier in this game"
I like how Chugga doesn't really talk in the last battle to emphasize the situation
(6:27) Why hasn't he at least TRIED to possess Chibi? is he not a pure light being as CHILD of the SUN?
(7:18) ...close enough? ^-^"
Erm... I think this was the only way he could come close, as Chibi is supposed to be a god, or at least the kid of one, and I dunno about you, but I don't think that's easy, or even possible, for something like that to happen. If it is, it's more trouble than it's worth.
Joshua Vares
True.... Either way, stuff happened and yeah X3
well of course amateratsu is probably taking a nap while a giant evil demon possesses a innocent little kid and tried to kill her pup :P by the way did I mention this demon is also the cause of all evil in nepon? yup I'm positive everyone agrees this is the best time to take a nap :D so nap away ammy ^-^
Which leads me to wonder, if we do get a sequel, what would we get for a villain?
@@323starlight A fanfiction-ish idea I've had for a while is Akuro finally achieving his goal of becoming Yami again, taking on both Ammy and Chibi, actually succeeding in killing Amaterasu, and bringing Chibiterasu near death after witnessing the death of his mother before being saved by... haven't decided yet.

Been a fan of this series since 2006. You; Chugga; have done this series justice.
Dark Chibi: conquer yourself!
I swear I heard the "Conquer yourself" somewhere once.
+Mega Sceptile it's what Navi says in OOT when you fight Dark Link
District 13 productions I knew it, it was something from LoZ, just couldn't keep my finger on it! Thx by the way.
I am guessing he wanted us to enjoy the music being played during the battle and just let us watch and observe just how epic the battle is.
I love how the youger they are the harder the foe is shauni got orchi
ammy got yami and chibi got akuro
Honestly, I think they really outdid themselves for this final battle. Kudos!
I really loved the concept of having a Yami Chibi as part of the final boss.
EVIL CHIBI! - faints -
I can not get over the picture for Evil Chibi's health bar. ITS SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!
What song? What song, what song? What is the freaking song when ur fighting kuni and anti chibi
Actually, it's called Eclipse. How fitting.
Dark Chibi
Stellar Tempest Dark Sun

who fights the bigger fight ammy or chibi???
Amaterasu. Because if Yami won… then everything was screwed.
you are right and also i dont think chibi is strong enough to face someone like yami cos he only fights akuro who is a piece of yami
TheJKLbros
Akuro isn't a piece of Yami, Akuro is the spirit that controlled Orochi and Yami to do his bidding.
***** Nope. I believe they are two separate entities and Akuro wasn't controlling Yami, he was a piece of him.
yeah northern lights is correct
Fucking fantastic DS game that no one played or cared about and the best soundtrack
As soon as i saw that mirror i was like "You're going to fight an evil version of yourself" I was right haha. It was so obvious thp
I have to admit, that was one extremely impressive boss fight. Probably the best I've seen. Just epic, and looks very difficult but very fun. Love how he uses brush strokes against yours and vise versa. Spectacular fight.
I Really can not help myself but Akuro's A FIRIN HIS LAZAR!!!
I suspected my favorite god would post that meme.
Akuro: IMA FIRIN MAH LAZAR!!! BLAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
brockrumable
LOL XDDD
brockrumable ROFL XD
I believe it started in a Dragonball Z fight against Cell but I could be wrong i missed most of those episodes.
I love the placement of the recommeded videos for me at the end... it had Episode 65, with Akuro's Eye floating in blackness, overhanging Episode 66, with Kurow standing on a platform similar to that on the final battlefield. Lovely symbolism there.
This is HANDS DOWN one of the best videos i have ever seen! =D
I dont think its all that bad that he didnt talk because this is ONE KICKS ASS HARD AND ONE AWESOME IDEA FOR A FINAL BOSS
You know Chugga, he must have praised the music so much that it was actually enough to keep him quite, now that is respect.
he typically does this to not only add tension to the vids, but also to not interupt the epic music the fight had

Nice cliffhanger. I actually know the next part which is really emotional. But you have done amazing with this final part Chuggaa
Dark chibi music was epic but even better at 1.25 times speed
HEY, I loved watching him play this game as did a lot of others. Okami is one of the coolest games I've ever seen ad watching Chuggs played this game is just as awesome.
Man that last sunrise was down to the wire there. Glad you finally pulled it off.
Hey chuggaconroy you inspired me to get both the okami games and I love them both. PS I am one of your biggest fans. : )
Great lp I love all of your lps BTW Im anticipating your next chuggaa great job

This was the most depressing thing EVER, man. I cried so hard, my house flooded.
I adore the place he put the cliff hanger, because I know what happens next--perfect spot to do it. ;)
He did talk during the first part of the Akuro battle. Letting us know what we should avoid and some tips on what to do. As well as Akuro's ultimate attack being able to heal him if he gets it off.
Darn it all... everything you say for these characters is always so damn fitting! XD
Will you lp one of the Kingdom Hearts series? If you do, I'll be so psyched!
If you have played Okamiden like I have, you make your brush techniques small and quick, which I gained a habit of just from Akuro's battles as they took forever without it.
your truly amazing chugga
Loved this lp chuggaa cant wait for your next...whatever it is
I Was Waiting for This Vid to Come out
I also like the sort if "race" of which brush technique to give yourself an edge

when you interrupt Akuro's, it's the Chinese word for "break" or "broken". When yours is interrupted though, it's the Chinese word for "sealed".
What's with the lack of commentary during the 'mirror fight'?
Anyway, the videos are nicely put together.
thats why chuggaa is soo entertaining and great at what he does :)

The 2 parts I like when Chugga tries to spam his Whirlwind but he didn't realize he does not have enough ink.

Elite Four Manpuku (Fire) - Magmortar, Darmanitan, Ninetales, Emboar, Arcanine (NN: Maru)
Elite Four Kagu (Psychic) - Duosin, Metagross, Solrock, Lunatune, Gardevoir (NN: Miko)
Elite Four Kurow (Flying) - Chatot, Altaria, Kricketune, Noctowl, Dragonite (NN: Pillowtalk)
Champion Kuni (Various) - Gallade, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Lucario, Ninjask, Arcanine (NN: Chibiterasu)
He stated numerous times that he hasn't forgotten it, he's just waiting for Okami HD to hit the shelves.
Of course, the inability to draw circles comes back to haunt him in the finale. of course.
only your heart is hollow enough to a demons
The flip side of an evil clone knowing you is you knowing it.
I know but just how I see it, walkthroughs don't have commentary, but a let's plat does.
I personally love how the game makers made a dark version of Chibi as the finale boss fight and since he can use a celestial brush it just makes it that much better.

@supertony260 I've finish Okamiden so there will be one more part to the finale and most likely a bonus episode.
I like how Chuggaa added Kurow's art to the side panel like with the earlier boss battle.
You'll see why.
I remember it took me forever to figure out how to stop Akuro's laser attack. Eventually, I figured out all I had to do was wail away with the Feathersword, because that did the most amount of damage in the least amount of time.

Dark Link,Dark Samus,Dark Pit and now this guy.
That's gotta be the best Cliffhanger you've done Emile.
Fun fact: The Kanji that appears after Dark Chibiterasu uses Sunset means "darkness". The Latin alphabet version of the symbol is "Yami."
The final boss theme is called Akuro Beaten. Personally I reckon it should have been called "The Dark Sun Rises" if you know what I mean.
Your powers of drawing a circle... they've left you again...
