I have watched hundreds of motorcycle and scooter servicing videos in the tubes of you and this one is, by far, the best one I have ever watched. You have NO intro with annoyingly loud heavy metal music with explosions and lightning bolt graphics, no 20 minute long boring monologue telling us what you’re going to in the video before doing it, no repeating yourself over and over again, no stopping halfway through to get us to sign up for stupid squarespace and no telling us that we must like and subscribe or else you will go bankrupt. Thank you sir, you have won UA-cam!
Thank you for the continued support for the Zuma 125. I have a 2013 Zuma 125 and it has the oil plug and oil filter plug beside each other, facing down. Please keep up the good work. 🛵💨
Amazingly thought, careful, detailed, and almost playful. You look like you enjoy every detail, step, and inspection. Makes me want to get off the couch and change the oil in something. Anything. Thank you.
Thanks for pointing out to check the oil level without screwing the cap in. At first I thought you were wrong and was going to correct you, but it's clearly stated in the manual that you do NOT screw it in when checking the level. I had no idea about that until I saw the video - thanks!
Mitch, I just purchased a 2013 Yamaha BWS 125, and your videos are top notch...I have changed the oil and spark plug myself, thanks to your video's !!. Keep them coming🤗
Great tutorial, Mitch! I learned to change my Ruckus oil from yours too! A friend of mine moved to Hawaii not long after you did. I told her to keep an eye out for you and to pick up a scooter while she was there; but couldn't convince her. You're awesome!
She lived there for a couple years with her son, who was in tha Army. She lives in Colorado now. While she lived out therecshe AirBnB’d, Uber’d using the new car she shipped over, and provided day tours in her car She’sca busy beaver; but I could ‘t talk her into riding a scooter over there. Trying to get her on my spare scooter here when she visits. 🤟
I like your to the point videos. Thanks a bunch. It's interesting that the oil drain plug would have holes for safety wire but the filter/strainer cap does not. Happy New Year to y'all.
I have enjoyed and educated myself on your Yamaha Zuma videos. I have a question, My Zuma 125cc gets a Check Engine light, seems like when on a down hill ride light goes out but on level riding comes back on, oil level is good. Someone told Me to reset my ECU with a OBD 2. Not sure if there is even a connection for one. Do You have any idea or direction to go with this issue?
I found the 17mm socket was way too big and the 12mm fit. Was that an error bc I was shopping for a larger socket set yesterday and the 17mm was more a heavy duty and more expensive set that needed a bigger socket wrench. So I was gonna used the one at work and was top big and the 12mm socket I already had in my compact socket set. So maybe bc my Zuma is a 2008 and they changed to a 17mm socket for the later models? Anyway, great video and thanks, but I wanted to point out in case someone might follow your direction and run into the first problem of not being able to take the bolt off by your requirements.
@@jacknjill3000 The filter isn't something you'd normally swap out - it's more of a strainer than a filter. Just clean it and look for holes, then re-use.
My Audio didnt seem to work on this video........i'm helping a neighbor.......he doesnt have a torque wrench, and its really not needed........he buys a quart of oil from Amazon?....but, overall a good video!

Hi Mitch,
Thanks for this amazing video.
Wondering if you have created a video on how to replace spark plug for sums 125 cc please.
Thanks
Not sure what the 17mm socket is for and I thought for the drain bolt. But I found it needed a 12mm socket.

Could you make an air filter replacement one? Thank you
I started using rotella T6 synthetic in all my bikes. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it and it’s cheaper than mobile one
Awesome, thanks for the info!
Hey Mitch. Great video. I see you used a non-oem magnetic drain plug. Which one and what are the specs so I will buy the right one? Thanks
Good video. No excessive talking or stupid music.
Hey Mitch, I'm thinking of buying a Zuma for work. Sorry if it's a dumb question but am i right in assuming the tires are tubeless?
Yes tubeless! Don't worry, not a dumb question 👍🏼

Thanks for the comment, yes I noticed that too... my 2014 zuma is different compare to this one in the video, just realized that :)
At how many miles do you change the oil?
So you should change the oil and filter at the same time? Can you change the filter later when there is oil? Or will the oil leak out?
Put a whole quart of oil? My other Yamaha scooters took like 3/4 of a quart and a quart would’ve over filled it.
Oh and online it said 6 months or 2,000 miles.

MITCH can you do a video showing how to remove the flip down Gas cap?
I could
@@MitchsScooterStuff Damn thank you so much Mitch we love you man!
I had the check engine warning light come on my zuma today? How do you diagnose that?
Thanks , I wanted and needed to see that.
Oh question, is it possible to derestrict a 2012 Honda Ruckus??
Hey there is few things you can add to go 50mph for few hundred $ ... maybe I can make video on yours?

Do you know how many kilometers should i drive before replacing the oil?

Mitch, that was beautiful. Thx
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello. The manual says 900 grams, you say one liter, how is one liter or 900 grams correct?
Mine took 900ML
Excellent video.
0.85 is 3 1/2 cups, not the entire liter. Check manual.
What type of transmission oil you used
Manual says SAE 10W30 Type SE
Thanks Mitch! Aloha
Wassup! Are you living in Maui now?? I'm in Lahaina!🤙🏾
